I had the air system in my Ram 3500 dually. It's not really noticeable unloaded but with a heavy weight in the bed of the truck like the truck camper I had in mine the air system made a huge difference. The truck would squat with the load in the back so when the air system was used it would have between 2 - 2/1/2 inches of adjustment. It needs a heavy load to be noticeable. Keep up the good work!
I can buy a whole truck for the price of the Cummins. Still no power tilt telescoping steering wheel or cooled rear seats. Good looking truck just like everything it's overpriced. Thanks for the video.
I’ve got a 2022 2500 with air ride. My God is amazing, 16k in the back on the gooseneck dump trailer, pin weight anywhere from 10-15% and she levels right out with no issues 😎
JB, the alternate ride height adjustment just lowers the truck about an inch to ride perfectly level when loaded. When a truck has factory air, it rides 1 inch higher in the rear normally from what I’m told. Once a trailer is added, the air system will adjust the ride height to keep it at 1 inch high in the rear. If you hit the alternate ride height at that point it will lower the rear the inch to make it perfectly level at that point. I’m not sure if the is 100% right but thats how it was explained to me.
@@JB_WhoWork I agree for sure. I’m not 100% sure but that what the a Ram guy told me it was. I’ve looked it up on the internet and I think he’s right. Who knows, but it’s nice to keep things level.
It kills me that none of the hood details are functional…the tires are still trash…the Laramie loaded is almost 100k and missing options, small fuel tank…just so disappointing. Stuff like this makes me wanna see the car manufactures implode. It looks good, but their supply chain is garbage, customer service is trash on the service side and the quality has tanked. Shame.
The thing is people keep buying them and so they will keep making garbage and increasing pricing. We just need to stop and make them come back to reality !
In my 19 there is a setting under controls called transport mode which dumps all the air from the bags. I use it after I touch down my landing gear so I can stop cranking. Another limitation is that the alternate trailer height isn't always available if the trailer doesn't have enough tongue weight
So two things, the bright red color is always the best, no matter the brand and two $96k is just goofy stupid for a truck period, but especially one missing options!! Lastly, Ram really needs just to update their HDs. 13 year old design at this point. Their cabs are way behind GM and Ford. Even with this Mega Cab the front seat area is noticeably smaller than the competitors. Nice looking truck and all but you’d have to be just a major Ram fanboy/homer to call this better than the competitors, and that really makes me throw up a little to give praise to a stupid Ford 😂
This truck did look good with the night and I've decided not to comment anymore on the price, I've sung that song for about 6 months now lol! This still has advantages over the others but I'm with you, it's not better 😂
That's what I've been saying, but the diehard Ram guys can't see it! The only thing different on this truck versus my 2010 Laramie Mega Cab is the headlights. Nothing else is really changed except for a few nicer touches on the interior
@@oldnumber6 Yeap. Different grill and headlights. Nothing particularly wrong with doing new front ends and interior updates but at this point based off of what the competition has they are falling way behind. And it use to be you could get a Ram a lot cheaper than a Ford or Chevy but now they are sometimes more expensive.
What's up J.B.! As I was leaving work today, I seen a Ram 3500 driving in front of the job site, this thing was bet in half like an upside-down U just like the Ram you made a video on not too long ago. I have yet to see a Chevy or a Ford like that.
It would be really cool if ram took the opportunity to make an option where you can display all the engine information temperature, etc. digital gauges on the large screen.
I noticed it doesn’t have the digital rear view mirror either… which I love on mine. Mostly because I dig having a camera on my trailers that plugs into my mirror. Speaking of mirrors, while my 2022 is in the body shop I’m renting a 2023… I’m not a fan of the new mirrors. They don’t extend out as far as my 2022’s, and the convex mirror is smaller. I like my other ones better. I love my air suspension too.
Nice looking truck but shame on Ram for pricing out most of their long time customers. 96k should not be missing any options. Shame on Ram and most manufacturers for that matter. I will say Chevy seems to be the way to go these days when you talk about options and pricing. Thanks for the review JB!
I can’t wait till I get the chance to order a f350 tremor lariat with the HO powerstroke because I saw a video of one with 4099 lbs of payload but that was a fully loaded version for $94k now I’m curious of one with little bit less options
Basically over $100k (with fees) for a nice Laramie that isn't even the top trim level... No thanks. And yet there are folks who will go into debt up to their eyeballs to buy one. Something has got to give!
Now I won't lie it's an absolutely amazing Truck, but the price is just too high for me, 96 Grand?? Sorry Ram, I love what y'all make but damn, that's crazily overpriced.
Why did they get rid of the factory fender flares on Laramie level and up trucks? Cheap garbage ass trucks.. they are made cheaper and cheaper every year. New mirrors are trash and don’t work as good as the normal flip up mirrors

Thanks for sharing this and I agree, you do need minimum of 2k to see a difference with the system 👍🏾

I almost made the mistake of buying my 23 ram 2500 limited with airbags, thank God I didn't
Love the truck, can't believe the prices they have reached
96k and no 360 camera wow!
Garbage
I just saw a video for a f350 Lariat fully loaded for 10k less… Ram is getting crazy with pricing!!
Ram used to be the budget truck before the 4.5/5 gen came out. They need to get back to that price point.

Thanks for sharing bro, 1 inch is definitely not enough for bed lowering, I would think 3 inches minimum 👍🏾

They do. It's under the off road page, then select gauges
Have you heard any update on the U-connect 5 system not holding the stereo presets? My radio looses the XM stations all the time.
That's been going on sense 2019
Very nice looking with the bright red. I would choose the regular crew cab and long bed to get the biggest fuel tank.

My 2024 works fine but all you have to do to change airbags is hit the button on dash and not go into the screen

What was the tongue weight of the trailer?
I think it's around 2000 depending on where he parks his wifes lexus in it.
Does anyone have a detailed video on RAM’s air suspension and how it works?
anyone have problems with the front output shaft seal ? mine seems to be wet n making a small mess
When is Ram going to offer more tire options than the crappy Firestones? I had those on my 2013 originally and they were terrible
Only reason I lean towards a new ford diesel is the steel pistons.

I had an 18 dually that had a 5200 lb payload. This seems low at 39.
Dually has more payload thats why

Prices with these trucks. I rather at this time just buy a semi and bobtail to the grocery store.
Sorry bro. The limited ram interior is not better than the GMs higher trim interior ex the GMC ultimate.
Now I won't lie it's an absolutely amazing Truck, but the price is just too high for me, 96 Grand?? Sorry Ram, I love what y'all make but damn, that's crazily overpriced.

Price tag is pathetic hopefully it sits on the lot and rots into the ground!
