Arun: I am the farthest thing from a "pro" photographer - just a point and shoot guy with a generally decent sense of framing [the thirds rule I think its called]. Nevertheless, I have watched a ton of head to head smartphone camera comparisons and can honestly say this: this video was by far the very best, most easily understood of its kind I have ever seen.
Clear and precise and using language even a non-photographer like me can appreciate and mostly understand.

The flickering light is not because it's low light, it's because those street illuminating poles use alternative curent with 50/60hz, that means that, in reality, the light pole is flickering itself, you, as a human, see it normal because our brain does something very simillar to motion blur, in order to keep us from getting dizzy.
I did mention this, that it's because of the frame-rate of the recording

draand28 Our eyes can't detect the flickering to begin with. However 30hz will give headaches, 60hz is more acceptable and higher is less headache. 50hz in Europe has gave Americans visiting there headaches

After your review and comparison i got the one plus 6 and it still is working like it was brand new , no lags , still great camera and is going strong and it's a perfect balanced phone till now.

And that street looked like it was being invaded by red aliens. You decided what you want, cheap ass colors, well, it’s suiting for a cheap ass phone. Catches the eye quickly but lacks the fine details and finesse.

Yep! And I invite you to try to to shoot grass, than crop a little bit and you'll ask yourself if it is lettuce, synthetic Wimbledon court or anything but grass... OnePlus is a great budget phone. Nothing more. Over hyped by it's 2 only pros: build quality and speed.
Here's the thing... The big problem with the OP camera, that oversaturation, can be easily corrected on a software update... Then it'll be amazing. Not as good as a pixel 2, but really good
Camera and all other features depend on buyer's budget and choice. My choice is OnePlus 6.
On any camera test between any 2 phones the results are completely subjective. As viewers we do not know what the true images would have looked like with our own 2 eyes. The "fanboy" camps of either is just absurd. If I had to choose, I would probably choose the 1+ due to price and I simply prefer Android but as far as a camera comparison, you could easily live with either one.

Never thought I'd say this about a OP camera... but I'd easily take the OP no question! I agree the warmth is pretty extreme but almost everything else is substantially better especially the sharpness and stability. Plus, if I really cared enough, I can use an editor to tone down the warmth.

Interesting video to watch, actually stayed to the end! I like your tone of voice and calmness in speech. Makes for easy understanding unlike other jumped up and spaced out reviews on RUclips. Comprehensively covered many importnat aspects of the phone and I was leaning much towards the OP6. However, I don't think any reviews I've seen so far have mentioned the main camera being of fixed focus, and this could be a deal breaker. But thanks for the review.

I'm as far from a apple fanboy that you can get, but this video seemed a tiny bit biased and most of the images had much more detail on the Iphone. The 1+ images looked really smudged out in some places but you didn't point it out, while on the IPhone you sure did point out alot of minor flaws..
I really like you videos, but I sure do hope to see some more consistency in these comparisons. 👍

Out of all the androids one plus os is the best but tbh it should step up in its camera and specially its audio quality. And for that price of course its totally worth. But compared to the camera and performance of iphone lets be honest iphone wins the game. I've used one plus 6 and didn't have a single issue though using it for like a year and now I am using an iphone xs max and this phone is cool too.
In short for primary camera, iPhone gives better colour reproduction while one plus maintains better detail. Though you did a great job Arun, this was very detailed.

As far as I know OP6 does not use OIS for video. It uses it for photos only. Still a killer video! Thanks for that!
you should do those comparisons where you show the pictures, then show what phone took what picture, that way the user decicides what picture is better and is not a biased. great video tho

But you’re paying almost $400 more for “every little detail” so it’s kind of important to recognize them and put them to the test. I don’t think any less of the iPhone X camera after this video and would buy one if I didn’t have to pay for college every year, but I do have the money for the OnePlus 6 and it seems pretty close to the iPhone X in the situations that I’d use it so that’s what I’m going for 🤷🏽♂️
If he wanted to be unfair he wouldn’t have allowed ties to happen but he recognized strengths of both phones in the categories instead of trying to make one a winner no matter their strengths.
Iphone X is much better than Op6 because it captures a real picture. Like infront camera it kinda whitewashes you and some people don't like it because its make them look cartoony and then talking about back camera the saturation or temperature are very high and the brightness is low i mean it makes the pic look dull whereas in iphone it makes the pic look real and good

the flickering light in slow motion is caused by the frequency of the lights (hz) they run on ac voltage at 50-60hz, so it actually flashes, you just cant see with the human eye

What do ya mean? Actually One Plus 6 is better category than Iphone X, iphone x is really overpriced, a 700$ OP6 256GB really overkill Iphone X, which is more expensive, but a lower quality category. Actually, the only thing i like in da Ten's camera is the focus, thats impressive, but for that price, and as apple said it alredy became old, and outdated. Apple told that they make their devices to use em for one years, but im not boying a device for 1000$ to change it one year later.
I once bought an apple product, an iphone 7 plus, but tomorrow i will upgrade to OnePlus6 256GB. Its a whole different quality level, and i hate that the ios is not crackable, and very badly costumalizable. And its 2GB ram is a joke. Cant keep any app in backgeound. Even the X has 3 Gigs. Its a joke. Apple is a joke. Iphone 7 plus the last apple product that i have ever bought.

Very well balanced and detailed comparison here. In watching from an LG Aristo which caps out at 720p.lol I got a cheap phone as a little reliable backup for what I thought would be the Google Pixel 3 but I might have seen enough from OnePlus to go ahead and jump the gun. I'm almost certain that the Pixel 3 won't have manual mode in the camera app which is a big plus for me and a headphone jack. Pixel 3 will probably be the king of cameras again this year but for what you pay in the OP6 I don't think you can find a better option especially brand new.
This is by far the best camera comparison I've seen ! I'd choose the OP 6 for obvious reasons . The only reason I'd take an iPhone X over the OP 6 would be for iOS and having an apple device.

Sorry buddy but your one plus reviews are biased. I don't know why you are promoting one plus like this (ahem). Like in one of the previous videos, you said one plus has dual speakers and wireless charging and some other thing which is completely false. And in this video, the amount of warmth in one plus shots is very bad. I don't like apple because of the insane price tags and so I won't buy an apple phone ever but I won't be biased either.
it all comes down to what each person likes though, warmth in a picture can be very subjective.
