The UK is a horrible place that will only rip you off in every way. Get out of the UK and live somewhere worth living.

Hi guys, Thanks for watching. I am not sure why some viewers are having issues with sound in this vlog. You might wanna use earphones and turn the volume up for this one. Thanks guys!
Sound is fine for me.
had volume on 10
Use a compressor to boost your sound levels :) Anyone with basic mixing skills will be able to help. DM me if you need help.
It's unwatchable for me. Worth reuploading it with louder sound
EVERYTHING you're saying is true - ZERO investment. Every time I go outside I'm so depressed by the STATE of the environment / buildings/ parks. The leaves fell last Autumn and no council cleaned them up so they've gone into a brown syrupy mulch now. So depressing. Nothing gets cleaned. I'm getting fired up too because I complain every day about the scumminess of the environment and yet nobody I know seems to notice - or maybe they've given up hoping for a decent environment.
the UK is truly a misterable place.
I’m a Brit currently living in the Philippines. Been here for 2 years now and have absolutely no intentions of going back to the UK.
London is a sh*thole of a place.
I’m taken a trip to Manila at the end of February.
4 star hotel for 3 people in the BGC area and the full cost is £334 for 5 nights!
UK and in particular London, you can keep it thank you very much.
The broken, dystopian, broken UK just has nothing for me.
P.S. I’m off to Kuala Lumpur this year, mainly through watching your vlogs Daryl. Really looking forward to it 👍
Do you operate a UK business to sustain yourself abroad?
@@JimP-tc7gg Probably a pensioner with a broad half of his age. That's like 90% of expats in the Philippines
Returning to the UK from living abroad really reinforces the reason for living abroad. I've been abroad for 20 years, and every year the UK is declining, getting more repressive, the people more propagandised and divided. The police can't deal with basic crime, the public are in fear, the public services are poor. It's obvious what has happened, but the people are in denial, and really do think the government narrative that small boats and Russia is to blame is true. The people need to wake up. There is a way out of this mess for Europe as a whole, but I don't see it if the people are just happily anaesthetised with government propaganda.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 wtf mate, which part of the UK you leave?
@@zedtrek I worked all over the UK. It's a sad place now. Obviously you are happy. You are properly conditioned by your useless governments it seems 🤣
@joemann2178 or you are and need some therapy. Never question your sanity?
@@joemann2178 you seem bitter and cant move on despite leaving the UK. You spend your new life writing about the UK, must be great there!!!
I am from Edinburgh too. They’ve turned a once bearable city into a nightmare. It’s horrible here now 😂
Enjoy your travels 🎉
That "grey" is the UK's worst feature by a country mile 🤣
The word 'gray' was by far the best description of the former GDR (East Germany) before the collapse of the system.
When people from the west got there, the main impression was the lack of color and some happiness everywhere. Buildings and streets and cars were gray because of the coal heating systems and the lack of maintenance over decades.
People on the streets looked depressed and unhappy.
The general situation of the country has been much better than most countries today - everybody had enough to eat, everybody had basic housing, had clean clothes, education and medical treatment was ok. The problem for the system was that everybody had the chance to follow the development of the west, and they saw that the GDR was falling back further each year, no matter how hard they worked. The discontent of the people was less based on object poverty, but the experience of constant grinding down.
When i see reports like these about the UK, they deliver the same feeling, Of course i understand that mostly people with problems make such videos but there seems to be very little counterbalance for it...
Yep, UK is in a truly terrible state. The things is it's not going to get better now. The substructure of society is fundamentally broken. You have kids going to school who do not know what a book is, who don't know how to brush their teeth, who are still wearing nappies, and who communicate in grunts. That situation is just a small symptom of a fundamentally broken country. It is *extremely* difficult, if not impossible, to turn this around. Personally I don't think it can be done. People need to take a long hard look at things and in my opinion you have two options: 1) Get out 2) Try and find some last bastion of the old Britain somewhere within the UK.
Absolutely 💯 😢
Liverpool, London and Manchester are still fun and cool.
What can we do? Overturn the government
The government have only been in for 6 months. The last lot was in for 12 years! Who do you think you should blame?

I am sure BBC will create a contra-documentary, that will challenge the above video and Jason. They will pick one out of five sunny days in UK, intensify the colours on the screen, pick the areas of London, that for some bizzare reason, have just been cleaned and only young people with bright future ahead of them will be filmed. During the video at some point BBC will use the good, old phrase - "that UK is the 5th biggest economy in the world and that UK is leading the planet and that it is the oldest democracy". They will not mention, that it is british who first invented concentration camps (in Africa) and instead they will say, that China is the threat to this planet.
It’s fine if you’re young. You can’t exactly leave the UK when you’re over a certain age.
Exactly - it's too late for many of us.
No it’s not fine if you’re young. We are stuck here too, we are forced to undertake education in this miserable place before we can leave.
@@Alan-ou2idThat’s true, but at least you may have the option to leave at some point before you get too old. Once you’re over a certain age other countries don’t want you at all.

I remember a rich celebrity from Malaysia brought his family to London for holidays and the kids hated the city's backwards condition compared to back home.
Auckland NZ here. Spent five days in London in one of those hotel rooms half the size last June. Lots of rubbish, hectic frenzy on the tubes & freezing!!! Expensive everywhere. Last visits 2015, 1981. Its got so much worse in ten years 😢
The UK is much more than just London though. As lovely as New Zealand is, a bit like Australia, its behind by at least a decade in most industries, sometimes more.
@JimP-tc7gg I think we're all behind compared to Korea, China & Japan.
@ The media might have you believe that but its not always so black and white. Being larger markets alone offers an advantage thats for sure.

Last time i t99k a connecting flight through Heathrow, the stupid staff (all from dysfunction 3rd world countries) nixed up all the connecting flight passengers with arriving passengers - and so connecrting passengers had t9 go through security a s3cond time and throw out all the food qnd drinks we purchased after security in the departing city! I asked why we have a 2nd security as we already did it at a major airport in the US and he said "we dont know where you came from" !!! The state of that place
Yeah LHR is a third world airport now. The Heathrow bus terminal is even worse!
Been living and working in Asia/Pacific majority of my life now and UK has slowly gone down hill since I arrived there in 1980.
Most of its infrastructure is run by PLCs who's priorities are to the share holders. Reinvestment would mean lower profits/dividends for the shareholders.
Outside of London UK would be classed as a 3rd world country.
This is all done by design by every Gov that's been in power since Thatcher.
I hope I never go back tbh.
Ive been in Australia for the last 8 years. Went back to visit family in the UK over Christmas for the first time and couldn’t believe how little had actually changed. Same run down train stations, same crusty ticket machines...but at least a 30% increase in ticket prices.

I'm guessing you've never been to NYC because it's a lot worse than London for crime, trash and the subway. Washington on the flip side is clean with one of the best subways. I still love both though.
I am a dutchman. And we in the netherlands have the same struggles. I am completly done with western europe. I whanna flee as soon as possible. However i dont know how. How do i get out of this country with no education? Is it oossible to get some sort of qualification to enable me to be a digital nomad?
Everyone has state of the art infrastructure not only China but not everybody has state of the art propaganda. Spain built 10 high speed rail lines you don’t see them bragging on about it. The truth about china a flat in Shanghai starts at £1 MILLION but normal wages are £600-£800 per MONTH.
this channel is too biased...... London is named as one of the best city in the world. they just filmed worst part of it. i am China, i know what happened. Many people is living under poverty line, but the media never report it.

This is sad the UK has fallen.
So your living as an economic exile from your own country?
Was with you until all the right wing talking points about green energy. The reason we're in steep decline is thanks to neoliberal economics. Thatcher swept away all of Britain's traditional industries overnight and made the city our sole source of revenue (which all successive governments and continued). One financial crash and a referendum later and here we are...
@@whentheleveebreaks3962 Britain hasn't been right wing since the 60's. The West in general has been under the new ideology of Modern Liberalism. You have no business moving to a non-Western country of which all are more right-wing, which you seem to not approve of.
@ You clearly don't know what you're talking about. The closest we've come to being a left wing country was from the end of the war to the late 1960s when we were a relatively stable social democracy. Our shift right began in 1979 when Thatcher was elected.
