How many classes do you have to take at a time to finish in four years? I’m a working mom and don’t have a lot of time.
every program may be different! I went full time which I believe was 4-5 classes but soo many people in my program were going part time - especially while working and have kids! thats probably 2-3 classes but it all depends on the school.
I am thinking to get a bachelor's degree in Social work. I just wanted to know whether it is easy or hard? Basically, I just need a bachelor's degree.
I think some things will be easier than others but it really depends on so many factors and your own experience! good luck with getting your bachelors degree 😊
You got your BSW in 2 years it sounds like from 2017 to 2019, is that right? Did you have prior credits that shortened the length of the program? I'm in Canada and I'm not sure if it's different but here you can get a Diploma in 2 years, but the BSW is 4 years.
I still did general education requirements before 2017! My actual BSW classes and being in the program were those two years but definitely like you I needed to do those general classes for a 4 year degree as well
@@JaclynMSW AH!! That makes sense, thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my question!! :) I took the first step by emailing my local University to meet with an Advisor to discuss Pre-reqs, etc. Eeek!!
@@syleenadawn2038 congratulations! Good luck with everything!
Hello , which online school would you recommend for a bachelors in social work ?
Hello! I can't say from experience but I know there are resources online that will give some good ones and then you can compare
@@JaclynMSW thank you so much for responding. I’ll check it out .
Can you recommend a good online school for BSW?
I’m not really familiar with any online schools I’m sorry! I believe there may be some resources online to help choose what’s best for you by Googling some info.
Research Walden University. Their BSW degree is CSWE accredited. I applied there today. I'm in the application process. You will have an advisor that will help you through everything. I'm pretty sure there are other online BSW programs. Please make sure the school is CSWE accredited so you will be able to sit for the licensure exam after completing the degree.
Do you need master because I just want bachelor degree in social worker
It depends on what kind of social worker you want to be and where you want to work - I suggest going on job search websites and see what path you want to go down and what the qualifications are
@@JaclynMSW I want to work with group homes so do need masters
@@JaclynMSW can I work in group home with masters because I really don’t take that many years
@@mikaylasherbine6277 I was able to do that type of job with a bachelors in my state but I would double check with yours!

@@JaclynMSW Thank you for sharing! looking into that degree but a little nervous for the masters program
