Atsugi was my first tour. I enjoyed it over all. But yeah, aside from probably a new paint job those barracks aren't changed. Stay safe and have fun. If you haven't done an MWR trip to Mt. Fuji you really should when it's available. :)
I was in 55 years ago and the best we had was an open barracks with 8 men cubicles. Except when i was on a destroyer and it was a lot more cramped than the barracks. These people don't know how good they have it today.
