I saw that tik tok for the liner hack and a MUA commented that setting spray instead of micellar water is better, since micellar is a soap and can ruin your eyeshadow overtime.
@@omegaux I spray my brush with setting spray and dip into eyeshadow and use it for eyeliner because I just can't get it with a pen/pencil and it stays in place all day! I need to wipe it quite a few times to get it off though cause it sticks so much!
With the liner I scrape a little bit of the shade I want onto the back of a pallet or like a beauty card and mix it with setting spray ( I use the Urban Decay all nighter) This works wonders and lasts so long and very pigmented ! x
Soph 🤣 You introduced me to Robert Welsh and you’re still confused about why your concealer on your eyelids isn’t working out 🤣 Love this video as always x Ps. Miss questionoftheday
I tried that blush in sephora a few weeks ago, and one tiny dot covered my whole hand 🤣 The lady that worked there saw how shocked I was and just handed me a makeup wipe 😅 and I'm voting for lighter blonde hair, because I'm going blonde for spring too ☀️
I can see that liner hack being really good for festival make up…even for designs on the face and over the body sprayed with some setting spray!!! Could be a winner!! Love the video Xx
love thiss your hair looks amazing at the moment and will probably lighten up in summer anyways but if you really miss the blonde maybe just do some subtle highlights in summer
I'm a newish subscriber and concealer will crease on the eyelids. A true eye primer is great for preventing creasing or a pot concealer! Another tip you can use a colored eye primer or pot concealer for your under eyes with that technique ☺️
I luv the tracing liner hack, i need to try this 😍 Also for the coloured liner hack, iv always used just plain water, but recently iv been using setting spray, just spray some in the lid and use it with your chosen Eyeshadow colour 😉 Wrks a treat x
Ya, I was just coming on here to say the same. I’ve been using water with my eyeshadow to make eyeliner for years, and I’ve been told setting spray works just as well if not better. I like how it makes the liner just a touch softer than a typical gel or brush liner, and it saves me from buying different coloured liner pencils. It’s similar to how people wet their brush (either with water or setting spray) before they use a sparkly, metallic, or shimmer eye shadow on their lid. Both just bring out the pigmentation. I never would’ve thought to use micellar water though.
Is this even a hack? Using any liquid would make a powdered product into…liquid. Micellar water is probably THE worst option. Once it gets damp or oily throughout the day, it’s going to fail. Micellar water is made up of “micelles” which have two ends - one end is attracted to water, the other to oils. When your skin gets oily, those micelles will grab only the oil and break down your eyeliner. Using literally any other liquid - water, setting spray, Diet Coke, spit, LaCroix, tears, eye drops, etc. - would work better for durability.
I have been using this concealer hack I saw Robert Welsh highlight in a react video. I do eye cream/moisturizer than my concealer and very very lightly powder. I have found that buy moisturizing my under eye beforehand it is not as dry and therefore doesn't crease. I love it. I wish I could remember the original person's video he showcased but they were a MUA and it totally worked.
I love the colour of your hair right now. It really suits you. Maybe some highlights if you want some lighter bits for the summer, I feel your hair will catch the sun anyway xxx
I love your hair so much like this! I’m a hairdresser and you’re my new hair inspiration goal atm. Trying to grow my blonde out as much as possible before I tone it down to my natural colour but still with some lighter pieces around the front ☺️ love your videos 💖
You’re so beautiful with no makeup on your hair is incredible I’ve been watching Stranger Things and you give me a prettier version of Mad Max vibes I love it❤️
I have been dipping my brush into regular water and then eyeshadow to make a liner for a very long time. It lasts forever and isn't as harsh as a gel or liquid liner.
this is super random and kinda stupid, but I really appreciate soph for giving us close up shots of her makeup🥺 so often I do my makeup and see it not look perfectly smooth, and going into my fine lines, and I've wondered if it's something I'm doing wrong. it makes me feel a sense of relief having soph do the close ups (specifically of the under eye area) and realize how similar her base looks to mine (I hope that makes sense lollll)🥰
i think that the color that you're wearing rn looks amazing, imo no need to go "blonder". It's just the right amount of warmth, it's like honey, teddy bears, sunrises. it makes you look so much more interesting than the average blonde. i love it
Inglot has a product called duraline that is designed to be used as you're using the micellar water, but has the durability of an actual liquid liner. Can recommend 🥰
I have some thoughts 🙈 I’ve heard the perfect nude is supposedly the colour of your nips! … also, the micellar water eyeliner is something I’ve done for years but with setting spray or regular water ☺️ definitely works!
Go blonde if it makes you happy! Thanks for trying some of these, I've done the eyeshadow one before the only downside I had was it wasn't water proof, otherwise it is amazing or for a pinch thanks for your videos!
Love this video, love that it's sort of become a series. I genuinely see some really weird makeup hacks on tiktok haha 🙈💗your genuinely my fav RUclipsr xx
I absolutely love the current colour of ur hair so surprised me u said u were considering changing it, whatever makes you feel like ur best self is the way to go!
thank you! I do like it but I'm starting to get some greys and they don't blend in as well as bright blonde 😂😂 but I do miss the blonder hair too so might just change it for summer!
I've always seen setting spray used instead of micellar water! Would be curious to see a comparison of the two. And of course duraline would be best but most people don't have that laying around.
Setting spray probably works better over all just because of what it is chemically. Also since Micellar water is a surfactant it would definitely ruin your eyeshadow pan over time unless you scrape powder off into a separate place to mix it. Setting spray for the win, for sure!
If you are ever using nars concealers, a nars rep told me that they are meant to be out in with the fingers. The formula melts into the skin better that way apparently! I really like the method for some others too!
I have fallen in love with the blush hack... (i use the milk stick blushes) instead of using my inner hand I use the outside of the heel of my hand and it is great for a. warming the blush before I put it on my face and b. making sure I blend and put it on perfectly symetrical.
The mixing water with powder thing reminds me...when I was starting to use make up in the mid/late 90’s and sneaked into my lovely mums make up kit she *still* had a Mary Quant cake mascara block from the 70’s that you had to mix with water then apply with a wand! She later told me girls used to spit into their mascara block to mix and apply when they were on a night out! How times have changed🤣 x
I think she blended the concealer that set for 2 min with the setting spray on the finger. If she didn't I still think that might work better. I think setting spray + any shadow might work better than micellar water too but I also haven't tried
Concealer on my eyelids creases as it is much more emollient and hydrating. I don’t get that with eye primer. The Beauty Bay eye primer is amazing not to wet and not too dry.
Someone told me ages ago that setting spray with eyeshadow (as a liner) works.. it’s apparently waterproof/ smudge proof too (I haven’t tried it because I don’t own setting spray)
Hey Soph. I thought I would give you a few products to try. Maybelline Fix it setting spray (FINE MIST!!) Garnier Grow Strong shampoo and conditioner (Smells like apples, makes my hair grow stronger and faster) Freyara Makeup brushes (So soft and don't shed)
The best feeling is when youre scrolling through RUclips and see a notification thag soph has uploaded when you have nothing to watch. Love you soph
Soph’s uploads are always my top priority 😅
Agreed!!!
For the Micellar eyeliner hack, use a setting spray instead ! I’ve been doing that for years to make literally any eyeshadow a graphic liner!
When Soph asked if anyone actually wanted to wear their contour in that straight line all I could think of was Trixie Mattel lmao you go queen
Me too! 😄
The problem with the concealer flip stencil is that our eyes are rarely identically mirrored.
I saw that tik tok for the liner hack and a MUA commented that setting spray instead of micellar water is better, since micellar is a soap and can ruin your eyeshadow overtime.
I have been doin that for YEARS and it works wonders with every eyeshadow I've ever used!
@@paulina8708 with the setting spray? I was wondering how long the eyeliner lasted (all day?).

I think we can all agree that soph has one of the best and most entertaining youtube channels (at least imo)
With the liner I scrape a little bit of the shade I want onto the back of a pallet or like a beauty card and mix it with setting spray ( I use the Urban Decay all nighter) This works wonders and lasts so long and very pigmented ! x

THIS PART CRACKED ME

Yes to back to Blonde, I think it makes your eyes pop more! 🥰☀️ maybe film the salon visit?
This eye and lip combo on you though😍 it really makes your beautiful blue eyes pop!💙
aw thanks!!
I luv the tracing liner hack, i need to try this 😍
Also for the coloured liner hack, iv always used just plain water, but recently iv been using setting spray, just spray some in the lid and use it with your chosen Eyeshadow colour 😉

I've used Visine eyedrops for years for this :D

The entire tape one had me crying 🤣🤣🤣🤣 please never change Soph 🧡
You’re my favorite RUclipsr. 💓 the longer I follow along with your channel, the more I just love you!
I've been doing the eyeshadow-liner hack for years but I use setting spray for it. Works perfectly!
I use a mixing medium or I have even done water. I love how tik tok makes everything old seem brand new.
also bestie that lip combo looks amazing on you!!!
I liked the eyebrow pencil/blush thing.. tried it when I got my rare beauty things and thought it was quite good xo
aww get well soon Emmie! ❤️
I've been doing the graphic liner from eyeshadow since the pre-internet era. Lol. Works like a charm!
The lips go so well with the blue liner
I'm absolutely trying the liner hack!
I actually love this lipstick color on you!!! gorgeous 🥰

It works really well! 🙂
I could listen to her talk forever I swear. I love her 😍
Do what makes you happy! But the darker blonde suits your skin tone so so well, you look so healthy and glowing 🥰
i LOVE YOUR HAIR BROWN!!! I love it blonde too but you look amazing with brown hair

some subtle blonde highlights for summer, will add a little more dimension x

i am unwell right now, this vid is just what i needed!!!
For the eyeliner/eyeshadow hack, Mac fix+ works really well
Blonde Soph is iconic honestly. But I love the darker hair on you! Either way, do whatever you feel like :)
For the liner you can use setting spray and also shimmery loose pigment works x
Yessss girl, I love you with blonde blonde hair
The eyeliner turned out so good!! I was really surprised!
Soph, you're a trooper for doing those ridiculous hacks. BRAVO!
I think the darker hair looks good still! You should try adding tiny bit more highlights and do a lighter money piece! I think that be super cute?
Your haircolor is perfect!!
I have some thoughts 🙈 I’ve heard the perfect nude is supposedly the colour of your nips! … also, the micellar water eyeliner is something I’ve done for years but with setting spray or regular water ☺️ definitely works!
Doesn’t work if you’re south Asian and have very dark nipples compared to your skin colour! But a great tip if you’re Caucasian I agree
does setting spray work better for longevity?
Imagine everyone now going to Sephora pulling out their nips and swatching the lip shades to find their perfect shade for their kisser lol
@@sporelore definitely!
Whaaaat the liquid liner from eyeshadow is a game changer
