I completely agree about not rubbing your eyes. My eyesight is so bad because I rubbed my eyes so much as a child and of course, too much screen time. Very tempted to get laser eye surgery as I’ve worn glasses 24/7 since I was 15!
We’ve been mixing our lotion & foundation since the 80-90s, this was my go to when my favorite foundation was running low.

Yes, we have been mixing our own tinted moisturisers but then realised they don’t all blend as well and land up patchy AF 😂

i agree that it usually looks a bit streaky but also what makes a huge different is making sure they’re both either oil based or oil free, otherwise they will not mix together lmao

If you take one of your foundations and add moisturizer to it, it comes out beautifully. I like doing it with some of my thicker or more full coverage foundations to sheer and thin them out ❤

I use a half lash curler. Best thing ever! It never hurts anymore to curl lashes
The powder with the concealer looks nicer under the lights but I imagine in normal lighting it would look more dry but here it looks beautiful!

I have been mixing foundations with moisturizer since the 80's/90's . I am a pretty pale girl.I always say my skin tone is "vampire chic"...haha..so back then when brands only had about 5 different foundation shades in their line, I couldn't get anything that was light enough to match my skin. so I learned long ago how to become a mix master/color corrector.

rather than the very painful and dangerous method of rubbing eyeliner into your eyes for a smoky effect, i highly recommend using kohl! the traditional kohl applicators are really good :)

I have a bunch of foundation samples that are way too deep for me and that moisturizer trick sounds perfect for those!!
I have a natural bend in my eyelashes, and when I use a curler, it curls in a higher spot, so it kind of shortens my length. I can see how trying to straighten the natural bend out first and then curling can give it a touch more length and seamless look. Idk, does that even make sense?! I been doing that with foundation and moisturizer for 20 years cause I hated the way foundation looked on me and they didn't really have tinted moisturizer when I was younger

Regarding the first hack, I feel like it's probably just easier to pay a few dollars and buy a smudger. More precise and you don't end up with a bunch of eyeliner on your fingers 😅

I’ve always used the Elf mix to match adjust tube, mixed with bondi sands spf 50 facial moisturiser for a tinted moisturiser as i wear the spf everyday anyway, and by adding the tint, you don’t need to add more and more layers of skin products.

I have always mixed moisturizer and a heavier or darker foundations if I want lighter coverage.. Never tried a liquid bronzer though..

Get yourself a heated eyelash wand! No clamping so no pain! You can use them after mascara (probably works better if you do!) so you won't snap them and you can recurl if they droop during the day! Xx

Mixing any liquid bronzer or darker concealer into your winter shade foundation also works for when you don't fake tan your face and you want to match your face to your body
