You and Jared should work together. One day on your house, next day on his house. That way you both always have a helper and the work goes twice as fast!
Jason , I want to say how well mannered you and Jared are even when things work against you. Broken tools don't stop the show , tempers don't flare and works get done and the brothers are good as gold !! That is a trait I wish my family members ( including myself) had or could instill in our lives !! So proud to call you friends and you and Jared and will always be my buds !! This old lady loves all the Crocker boys and their beautiful parents !!
You did it 100% correctly! That gap is crucial for proper ventilation. Hopefully you have some sort of gable or ridge cap to vent the upward air movement in the gap out to the atmosphere.
The full roof needs airflow on its interior side or else you will build up moisture leading to black mold. In my area we use a rigid foam product that's designed for 16" and 24" centers. It's cheap ... easy to install ... creates an adequate air flow spacing ... and takes spray foam insulation very well. Food for thought. Keep up the good work.
As long as the roof peak is vented will work fine as air warms will rise and pull cooler air in from the eve's and create an air curtain cushion thus keep room comfortable
Not only are you doing an amazing job on your home your added video things you are adding pretty awesome. Awesome video awesome home equals spectacular
This why we like you, your honest about what your doing, and aren't afraid to take chances! D anelle will be happy you got so much done. More time to ride, play and have fun. News video was funny too.
Jason the outside looks as pretty as a picture I’m very excited for you just keep yourself pumped you and your better half will be moved in before you no it
HELLO JASON🥰 GOOD JOB ON ROOFING AND SPRAY FOAM. YOU DID IT CORRECTLY ON THE VAPOR BARRIOR. COMING TOGETHER FAST. YOU ABD DANIELLE WILL BE IN SOON. HUGS FROM CONNIE SUE🐕🐕🦃🐐🐐🐖🐖🐖💞🇺🇲👍
Well I just can’t contain myself…. I love seeing Ruffeo 🐶 in the videos, he looks like royalty! He lays there so noble like. Gawd, he cracks me up and warms my heart!!!💜 He just makes me smile and feel good in my heart. Love the other pups too, but King Ruffeo is my man! Your home is coming along so nicely. I know it takes time but you can’t rush through it as you know. This can easily burn you out, I know as I’ve help my Dad built in the past. It gets to the point you don’t even want to look at your project. You’re right, breaks are needed as well as fun days! God Bless You All! Be safe out there!
Sure it'll work, foil side up or down, the airspace will work. I'm surprised the cost was cheaper though, and the Styrofoam attic pans stapled in place wouldn't accept the foam insulation. So yea, it'll work fine! Love ya'll ❤️
@@dper1112 I appreciate the info, but we are talking about a 400 sq ft wooden building, one that will breathe on its own from alot of places, spray foam or not.
I think you installed your thermofoil plywood correctly especially with a black roof. Your main concern is going to be reflecting all that heat in the summer time out of your tiny 🏡
Radiant barriers need an air gap on the reflective side. That reflects heat away. This is really obvious, if you've ever used an infrared heater, for example. So maybe what you have will work for keeping outside heat out.
Love the new intro I love rufio's face he's just so beautiful anyways. You doing awesome it doesn't matter what side you put up it's your house do what you want you don't have to answer to anybody or justify what you're doing but it's okay. Good luck on the generator project I'm sure you'll get it working just fine and can't wait to see the next video.
You might be alright as if you use it for roof decking it must be foil down but you have an air gap so the radiated heat should still be reflected back into the air space
The Tiger Foam seems to be the best product so far. The foam installation is looking great. You’ll be finished before you know it. I hope that you get the other generator fixed. In your situation you need both generators. Looking forward to seeing more very soon. Until next time.
I think it's sad that you have to forsee the criticism and defend yourself to try and prevent an attack. That has to be stressful. Fortunately it seems most people here are supporting and kind. Like someone else said you do what is best for you, you don't have to justify yourself Jason, your doing great. 👍❤️
One day I'm going to just sit and watch my phone and be first to comment! Life goal right there...lol... Any whoo..I think you are smartly insulating the house.
That's a lot of insulation, let's hope it all works for ya. For sure it's all better then nothing, right?! You and Jared are working so hard. Hope you get power soon, and get all your trenching done for your water. As much work as you've done(AND it's a lot) You still have so much more to go. See ya on the next one!
Hey you two. Doin a great job. FYI saw an article about not putting spray foam insulation around pot Lights fire threat.... Please search for yourselves. Made me worry about you guys when I saw it. Cheers
Actually I think what you did putting the shiny side up was smart. If there is any condensation from the top and it drops it will hit the foil and not ruing your ceiling. That foil should let it shed off of the surface. At least I think it would.
Use cotton and super glue to tighten the hole that the screw goes into. I just watched a video on that. If u are interested I will share the video with u!
Please reach out to backwoods mindset. He needs your friendship, guidance. I’m sure he would love to come down there put a trailer up and give you guys tons of help.

Yes u were
Dang! And people think we only promote you because you give us lots of money! Haha 🤣 proud of you for getting 1st!
Lies 🤥 🤣🤣🤣
Congratulations.

I would think that'd be more fun as well
@@adamalbright2020 And it would definitely make their videos more interesting, which is very important to them.
I agree they would probably get done faster too.
@@MelissaMalzahn And it would be safer for them.....
Well said, or one week with Jared and one week with Jason. Speed the projects. 🤟

Such hard workers you and your brother & Danielle 💚💚💚
You're doing a good job Jason. For somebody's doing it by their self with no help today. ❤️🤟
But you did it Jason and it really looks good ❤️
Looks like the Tiger foam is a better product. Happy to see you are making such good progress!
Wow Jason, it’s going to really be warm in the winter and cool in the summer! 😊❤️🙏

Hard work pays off! 🥰
Jason, you and Jared remind me of Mario and Luigi 😁
@@South_Texas_Roots You Crockers definitely aren't dumb!
Awesome 👍, Beautiful! Saving Alot of money doing this yourself! It would probably cost 3,4 Times More!🙏🇺🇲🙌🤩👍
You will NEVER regret adding a radiant barrier to your roof.
That’s a lot of hard work brother. Can respect that. Nice job 👍🏼
Great job getting to work on the house! Keep on keeping on!
But the thermal will keep moisture from penetrating into the wood ceiling so that is a good thing.

The attic pans don't allow as much airflow. So many people prefer paneling. Although, many people use rigid foam panels in that case.
@@dper1112 I appreciate the info, but we are talking about a 400 sq ft wooden building, one that will breathe on its own from alot of places, spray foam or not.
I enjoy watching the videos a lot! Miss Danielle for sure and I know you do. Y’all make a great team and team work makes the dream work
Like always...you doing a great job Jason 👍
Making great progress Jason. Great job! 👍
Spraying that ceiling looks definitely a hard chore. Good luck, be careful.
Air gap is a good idea. Let some of the summer heat back out.
Loved this video... the way you film Jason is truly awesome and what makes your videos heads above the rest!
