What do you think of Azores Airlines? ✈️
good airline thanks for trying new airlines keep up the good work. but can you do long haul aer lingus i have a flight with them in a few weeks
I wondered if I would ever see you doing any videos in Azores, and, here it his! Wow! 🤩
I live in Germany now but I was raised there and also lived in Ponta Delgada! I had maybe about 30 flights on Sata/Azores Airlines, some of them just between islands and the most interesting of them was from Ponta Delgada to Santa Maria on a A320, which was a 15 minute flight!!! (Started in Lisbon and made a stop in Ponta Delgada).
I really enjoy Sata/Azores Airlines and they have nice fares. Residents of Azores get to fly cheaper between the islands and also to Portugal mainland by getting a refund after the flights. This was a decision by the government some years ago so the azoreans have a easier chance to get to other places.
I never had any problems with the company but they strugle sometimes in the Winter because of very strong winds and bad, foggy weather. Because of that, in some winter days there are a lot of canceled or diverted flights to other islands, mostly not beeing the companys fault and they have really experienced pilots!
I really wish I have had to get the chance to fly on the A310. They also have had an absolutely beautiful A330 with a big whale painted on the body of the aircraft, the whale you see the most in Azores. For sure worth a google search! Unfortunately not flying for Azores Airlines anymore because the A321's came to replace it too.
Flew them in February from PDL to LIS. They offered sandwiches, cockies and beverages. So I booked them again in July.
They good airlines. I flew from Boston to Sao Miguel.
@@JoaaoLaurentino My dream is to visit Azores for a week or two, for me it's exotic , in the middle of Atlantic ocean.
Josh the airline seats look premium better than many big carriers around the world
Why is Cape Verde one of your least favourite countries?
Yeah, why? Cape Verde is plenty of nice people!
Not a big SATA fan, i prefer NVMe.
bruv this is an aviation vid hahah
hahaha
ha ha , good one!
hahah brilliant!
I prefer the old HDD 3.5" 😅
Iran Airtour still operates the 310s
The Azores are very green, it looks like Ireland.
I Havent Expericen A310.Great Video
Interesting livery with each plane having a different word as part of the livery.
You should have gone with Tuna, it's one of the specialities in Açores 😉
The A310 was one of my first long hauls in 1990. A comparatively unknown airline called Emirates had recently launched a service from Manchester -Dubai via Frankfurt. How times have changed but it was a great trip. Many thanks, as always, for your reviews. ✈️
I don’t know why the A310 gets so much hate. I love it since I flew on one for the first time in 1987 ( pan am mia-jfk). It’s a plane that opened new markets across the Atlantic to many Eastern European capitals and also to smaller cities in France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, etc.
There are also 3 other Iranian airlines that still operate a couple A310s:
Yazd Air (EP-DZA)
Iran Airtour (EP-MDH, MDK, MDP)
Meraj Airlines (EP-RBD)
Tehran Air has one "due to enter service"
My favorite aircraft is MD 83
My favourite plane is the DC-3, because that's the first plane I flew on.
I was extremely lucky to fly on a Tristar, of which I have some memories, and later I really liked the A318.
Yes to more African Aviation
That definitely looks like an airline worth trying!
Josh is a good boy
They fly the Neo from Bermuda to Punta Delgada.
Flown with them 3 or 4 times to the Azores and always a solid experience. Great staff and a modern fleet. The Azores are also a stunning place to visit, each of the islands are very different. The food is also very good, lots of seafood which I love
Come to Nigeria 🇳🇬
The A310 was also my favorite plane to fly on Thai Airways every time I traveled there. My first wide body too. The A340 and B747 are my other preferred plane.
At 1:30 looks like the guy from Broederliefde
Josh, I'm making my first trip to the Azores this year. All of my family are from there, so it will be exciting.
Yes please, do more African airlines reviews!
Looking forward to the video of your ship voyage
Their color scheme is gorgeous
Your fabulous Youngster
Onward 🌈 to fun times travel with blue skies.
Could have been worse. You could have landed in the Azores on Air Transat 236 (C-GITS) :)
Cape Verde is where you started yes ?
Great to see this review! Thanks Josh, greetings from Aruba.
Yes, I knew about Azores Airline and SATA, because I often watch life Madeira Airport FNC streaming and both Airlines fly there.
i used to fly a lot on satas a310 10+ years back
like the airline overall
Yesssss another Africa tour would be great
Yes to an African series. You should start with a route like FRA - WDH - VFA on some German airline and then do regional flights across Southern Africa.
We need a video for air arabia and ur airlines
I flew on a Pan Am A310 in 89/90 from IAD to CDG round trip.
Video of 35 days at sea?
I was born in Maia,São Miguel and after travelling to different countries around the world this place I have to say is still one of the most Magical places on earth. My ❤ remains there.
The A310 is my fav too ✈️❤️
SATA have season route from Ponta Delgada to Bermuda :-)
Welcome to the Azores!
Can you tell us more about the boat or make a video? I’m very curious.
SATA is not a national but a regional airline. Really like your videos. Keep going.
@joshcahill that should be your ending tagline now. "Thank you for watching! wherever you off to have a safe trip"
Hey Josh …
I still love the A300-600 that operated in Australia by Compass Airlines in the 1990’s.
It was an all economy configuration with the most amazing service.
Shame they collapsed.
Safe travels :-)
Airline looks nice. Although that Inflight entertainment problems would be frustrating.
I'm glad you flew with Azores Airlines
As an Azorean i'm glad bro 😁😁
Thanks for this video 😁
I went to Sal (Espargos) in Cape Verde in October 2022. I thought it was amazing - looks way better than Praia.
Check in and security at SID took less than 10 mins and the departure place had duty free, a cafe and a restaurant. Couldn’t ask for any more from such a small airport.
Sal was an amazing place
Also please go on a Cabo Verde Airlines 737-700 if they still fly them in the future
I was there in Ponta Delgada when they retired their A310.
Flew it in 2017 and it was a blast from the past, felt like flying as a kid.
I had the opportunity to fly on the A310 from Toronto to Lisbon and then Porto back to Toronto on Air Transat and I enjoyed the experience...I am partial to Airbus overall.
I believe Air Transat still flies the 310...
Isn't that where air transat 236 landed after losing fuel due to a leak?
I loved the SATA A310's, back in 2017 i was lucky to spot a few of them at Lisbon Airport.
Azores and SATA sounds like very cool airlines. I hope I get to try this airlines.
How about doing review of Camaroon Aways.
Your video brought back great memories. My wife and I flew the A310 from Boston to PDL in 2017....me to fly on an A310, and her for a new destination. WE absolutely fell in love with the Azores! Hoping to get back soon. One thing I remember from the SATA A310 was that the video screen on the wall still had the Air Afrique logo displayed....
7:51 It's not a normal flight, but the "Zero G" operate a Airbus A310 as their plane for parabolic flights.
Now THAT would be an interesting flight report
@@tech9803 Yeah, absolutely 👍
Fly Bulgaria airs A220 business class
Do a South American tour
U should definitely try Cabo Verde airlines and go back on another African aviation trip
That’s an amazing review, never heard of the airline but love how you educate us on new airlines everyday! Keep up the excellent work Josh, big fan!❤
Jeez that thumbnail 😂
"Secret"?! Really...
I loved flying on the A310, my first wide body flight with Air Transat when they were still operating the aircraft.
Hi Josh, Can we expect a video of your ship advanture?
Has Tarom still got their A310?
I believe there are no more revenue operators of the A310 in regular service. The only ones I am aware of are the military conversions flown by the Royal Canadian Air Force under the designation of CC-150 Polaris.
How many times have you been told to eat your greens?
I prefer a plane interior like this airline: functional, clean, modern.
Africa! But first Arkia!
i like the video very muh Josh job well done
Thanks for reminding me. I will definitely travel to the Açores again. I loved eating at the local restaurant Tasquinha Vieira in Ponta Delgada. 😋 Most of what they serve comes from the islands.👍 If you love hikes you must also go by bus or rental car to Nordeste - east on the main island. It´s such a beautiful place.😍
When you start a next Africa tour, can you combine it with a review of Brussels Airlines long haul? They have quite a respectable Africa network from Brussels…
Personal preference on airplanes for me is the L-1011. I really miss it. I have flown the A-310 with TAP and it was a great flight, stable, roomy and very comfortable. I'm missing some new Airbus planes. I have flown the A-300 with Alitalia, the A-310 with TAP, the A-318, 319, 320 and 321 with many airlines, the A-330-3 and 9, A-340-3 and 6, so, missing the A-220, A-350 and A-380. But further adventures to fill in the missing editions. Thanks for your reports, always excellent.
Had a few domestic flights with Sata on our trip to the acores 2 years ago. One day due to bad weather the flight got cancelled. They booked us in one of their partner hotels. Everything was pretty organized. ive heard it happens a lot that flights get cancelled due to the weather. But all in all a good Airline with friendly crew members and people working on the Ground.
Die neuesten Unternehmen mit PAX A310 sind Iran Airtour Airlines, Yazd Airways und Ariana Afghan Airlines👍🏻
I would like to see you traveling within Africa especially remote countries like Chad, Ivory Coast, Ruwanda, etc.
Travelled 2 with SATA last trip was March 2024 no problems everything was great.
Please do another african tour, and start with the air peace service from london to lagos
I loved the A310! I worked for Wardair Canada in the 80's and we had a fleet of A310's that flew within Canada and to Hawaii, Europe, the USA, Mexico and the Caribbean. The 310 was my favourite in our fleet.
Loved Wardair!
@@stellarsjay1773 best place I ever worked! Still in touch with many of my coworkers!
I flew in an A310 as recent as 2008 with Royal Jordanian - amazing how quickly the 300 and 310s disappeared...
You worked for Wardair! I worked on the scheduled service/Business Class launch at Wardair's advertising agency.
Definitely want to see cabo Verde airlines review, also another africa adventure would be awesome 👌
What makes the A310 your favourite plane?
You should go visit the other azores islands and can taking the smaller Dash plans between the islands. But overall Sata or Azores Airlines is pretty good. Not perfect but unless your paying big bucks nobody is perfect.
There is a substantial Cape Verdian community here in New England, specifically southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and TACV used to have flights connecting Boston with Cabo Verde, but sadly the airline had to scale back its operations during COVID-19 and that flight is gone.
Josh please eat your veggies😤😂
Heard of sata. Thanks for this review Josh. Cabo Verde Airlines would be great also. They had 2 or 3 757s not so long ago
yes. Africa is some of the most interesting (sometimes questionable) airliners!! I also hope you post some highlights of the cruise. .. I'm low key obsessed with Wide-Awake Field at Ascension, would love to see your take on it.
Regarding the A310 - Yazd Airways operate one, EP-DZA between Tehran & Istanbul, been in service with them for just over a year
Boeing 777-300ER is the best plan in the aviation industry!
Not a737max for a o air
Why didn't you like Cabo Verde?
South african Airways plz Josh ❤
Hello Josh, We lovw to see more african Flights pls.
Looks great. Been to the Azores a couple of times (by boat) fabulous but never been when it isn’t raining lol
How about Mauritius to Johannesburg on Mauritius Air, and then on to Cape Town on South African Airways?
Thanks for the education! People seem very friendly and helpful. I love flying over boats of any kind.
Ficheiros Secretos
for your next trip, the pacific ocean, many small airllines waiting to fly
