Nice video! I just swapped out the framerails with axial deadbolt rails. Servo fits between the motor and the rail on the left. I also turned the spring mounts backwards so they articulate toward the front. Really cool.
My apologies for that, I have started to leave more links, is there something I can help with a link for you? I didn't think my channel would blow up this huge or anyone would be interested in my builds I have some catching up to do with the links.
It's amazing how a different set of wheels and tires can change a truck. Both of them look awesome!! By chance have you ever thought about making (3D printing) a fake drum brake backing plate maybe to press-fit onto the hub carrier? Just to be different. The disc brakes look really good on your truck since the wheels have open spokes.
I just bought a set of the alloy finned brake wheel adapters from rc channel there 20 bucks, I think you have to use the older bruiser large bearing in them but i have some. I don't think the 3d printed adapters will hold up to my hammer driving lol!
Hi dennis i like your videos but please put the link in the description of parts you used that's why we find easily your modification parts.. newbie from the Philippines.
Love your builds! Got a quick question, can you use a front axle on the rear of HG P407 for 4 wheel steer? Keep up the great videos and stay strong in your life.
Yes you can, it's a matter of hooking up a second steering rod and adding a lift spacer on the leaf spring so the steering knuckle won't bind against the wide rear springs.
Hey DD, fantastic work here as always - thanks for sharing. Quick question, I'm just building my HG-P407 with RC4WD Blazer camo body and would like to use the rig for rock crawling. Could you recommend some decent alloy rims and soft compound tires that do not require any modification to the chassis? Many thanks!!
Hey brother I usually buy a used roller 1/10 or a 1/8 scale off eBay to recycle the parts needed, they have done all the math on suspension geometry and that saves us hours of setup time on our builds
I chipped a tooth on one of the counter shaft gears in the transmission did u find a place to get replacement gears I remember u broke a tooth on one also thanks for all the great videos
I bought mine off ebay, it came from China and took about 2 weeks to get. I bought a extra tranny to switch out next time I break something and have to wait for parts.
I found this the other day , have not bought there yet but the prices are great! www.wl-model.com/HG-P407-RC-Car-Truck-Spare-Parts-HG-P407-racing-car-spare-Parts-Accessories-70-192-193-4.htm
Wow was that with the brushed motor? I'm running a 9 turn brushless on 3s with the acceleration punch setting at the lowest setting. I did tear up the slipper clutch I installed.
Yeah completely stock everything, wheels, motor, chinesium esc, I was running it in a creek with rocks but it didn't get jammed or wedged it was just bouncing over them like any other crawler would.. I bought a replacement diff assembly of eBay it took 2 weeks and had it going again
I did a install of the front to rear axle to shorten the wide rear axle that they have, I wanted a narrower track to set all 4 wheels into the wheel wells.
@@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol hey DD what parts do i need for this wheel adapters from rc channel please email me thanks man you are so helpful jdmsir92@gmail.com
If you remove the rear bumper and frame extension brackets the frame will sit under the bed unseen, the ext brackets are attached with 2 3mm screws on each side.

Good tip!
Great stuff as usual Dennis but I really wish you would leave links to all the parts you mention or at the very least the name and part numbers.

rc4wd website has some killer beadlocks for the bruiser/hg-p407 and the 2.2 super swampers are nice and sticky and look awesome with the blazer body.
@@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol many thanks, I'm on the case 😎😎👍👍
Do you sell those wheel adapters? I would love some sets
I've be wanting to make a scale 2wd hot rod or muscle car how do you make your front A arms and everything else you need up front on your cars your?

Hey Dennis, I got a set of Yota II axles I want to put in my p407. Do you have a video on that?
I did one on the super scale blue yota I have the same axles on that build.
Awesome upgrade brother
Thanks my friend!
@@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol 👍🤙
Dennis, time to upgrade the diffs on p407 what brand would you recommend?
I have never upgraded my diffs, I always did a stock replacement or kept them locked.
Sorry I meant changing out the rear ends also what trans.for 5900kv brushless?
Should put the links to the different wheel size adapters you made
they can be bought from rcchannel.com.tw
Where do you get the adaptors if you don't have a 3d printer ?
If you visit www.thingiverse.com you can order the parts printed for you.

You should think about getting into the auto body business . You have some potential 🤔🤔🤔 Have a great weekend buddy .
Hmmm I think you might have a great idea there buddy!! lol! hey maybe start an insurance company for rc cars! lots of collision work there I bet! lol!

Dennis I dig your videos. I just picked up this truck. Would you be willing to sell me a set of these. I don’t want to do the conversion

Question, will a TF2 bobbed bed fit the HG?
Yeah the bed will fit, you will have to get the rear window and filler plate if you remove the chrome cap.
