I just wanted to thank you for the amazing video . I have an 2009 Buick Lucerne and my front passenger door lock actuator didn't work. The dealership quoted approx. $ 450.00 to do the job. I ordered the part on line. It came yesterday and my work began. It went quite smoothly with the exception of one T30 torque screw that gave me a little trouble. My friend was amazed I could do this as I am a 68 yr. old female . The part cost $98.06 .Thanks again.
Very good video. I had to replace both front door lock actuators to get them to work. They failed after the car had 27k miles on it! First one took me 38 minutes, 2nd one 20 minutes, This video is priceless to save you time.
Thanks just did passenger front door '08 Impala followed your instructions definitely helped Make it easier. The people complaining about dirty hands I understand but it's very hard I keep clean and there's grease all over the inside of the door mechanisms
Coming from somebody who works at an assembly plant and on the door line. For 8 years, snug the t30 shut the door to make sure its aline if not tighten the t30 then loosen the Stryker shut the door an it should be realigned, Then reassemble.
worked on a 2013 Impala too. very slight variation in the details. this video is extremely helpful, no way i could have completed this job without it. great job a1 !!
On my 2009 Impala I needed a 7 mm socket (not a 8 mm socket) to remove the screw behind the door reflector. Other than that this is a Excellent tutorial. Took less than 30 minutes! Did it with the door window up AND used a small flashlight to see inside the door.
Really great video and easy to get the parts. Here are a few lessons I learned. 1) When re-installing the window bracket, make sure the rod is not trapped between the bracket and the door frame (the door knob wont go up and down...obvious the second time :D) 2) The Door Knob can be rotated to raise or lower the knob. Once I got the panel back on, the knob in the locked position was too low to pull with fingers if needed. It took me a little longer than expected, but...for a DIY project, it wasn't that hard.

This is an excellent video but if you can not open the door from inside or outside how is this done esp the plastic triangle at the front of the door. LOL I will try anyway and see what I might need but could use the extra help.
On my 2010 Impala some of the locks try to go up and down but are stiff and only work sometimes. Can I just lube them or is this a symptom of them being bad?
hello, i bought the actuator for my 2007 Chevy Impala, and installing it was going smoothly until i had to connect the wire with the red latch back into the acutator, basically the cable with the red latch doesnt match the actuators plug in for that cable, i noticed that the new actuator has 4 pins across on the top half of the pins when on my old actuator plug in has 3 holes across for the pins so its just not fitting. please help ASAP
Hi! I took all the wiring out to replace a crashed door. I put everything back except for the air bag sensor.. where does it go? I thought it was up higher by the handle on the inside panel. Please help

My rear door won’t open from the inside or outside. It locks and the window works. Any advice on how to get the door to open, when I pull the handle it doesn’t feel like it’s latching on to anything.
I have a 2013 impala and my locks will go up and down remotely as well as manually. However, the door will not open. Is this an actuator problem, or a latch issue? I can not manipulate the door open internally, even after taking the panel off. Thoughts? Thank you all!
1. The door in this video has no glass. That makes it seem so easy 2. The door in this video is unlocked, unlatched and open. That makes it seem so easy. I completely gave up doing this on my 2000 Buick Regal because I can't unlock the freaking door.
All 4 of mine work intermittently. They will sometimes lock and unlock for me and after a few tries then they get weak. Is there a relay somewhere? because I cannot find it.
+JmLykins You may want to check the door harness that runs between the door and body of the vehicle for a frayed or broken wire that may need to be replaced. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
Do you have any part number for the door clips for 1aauto since some break during removal I'm having trouble looking for some thanks! nice video tutorial

Would this fix my issue? All doors work fine, but when it gets hot outside my drivers door will not unlock with the keypad. I have to put the key in to unlock.
The front left door lock in my car (Optra/Lacetti/Nubira) stutters when unlocking. Should it be the actuator that needs a replacement? I opened the door panel successfully, but there's no bolt or enough space on the metal panel for me to reach the actuator. Could someone please help? Thank you!
Can somebody I beg you please tell me why my speedometer on my 2011 Chevy Impala LT is telling me that my front right door is open when it is completely shut??? And when I take off usually all the doors lock the door will not lock.. I got an inspectionn coming up this month and don't have the money for a mechanic to fix it. Can anybody please tell me what is wrong with it or the things that it could be? It would really help me out so much God bless
+inkblot131 Thanks for watching! If the door is stuck shut then there could be an issue with the lock or latch. In that case you will have to get a locksmith or AAA to come and pop open the door. 1aauto.com
@@1AAuto Thank you, 1A. I'm sorry for the 'outburst!' Thing is, I'm an old man -always been a 'doer' until Technology passed my age faster than an Indy car. I could be a bad door lock actuator. You may want to test the power going to it to see if it has power when the door lock switch is pressed. If you can hear it trying to move but it doesn't, than the actuator may be frozen and may need to be replaced. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
