Amazing that you got Duane Marden on the channel! What an underappreciated legend in the coaster community, his extensive preservation of historical information is just invaluable
I was 13 when I rode FITH in its second season 51 years ago. It's amazing the original held up all these years. The new ride looks great and watching this it still had the same feel. My favorite part was always the drop under the locomotive. I'm so glad they retained that "It's going to hit us" feeling. Well done SDC.
Road Fire in the Hole in March 2024. Spent around 3 hours in line with all the glitches they were experiencing. Well worth it. I road the OG Fire in the Hole when I was 5 when it first open. Now the new one with my son. Great video!
It's so awesome. I saw a couple ride-throughs thinking they'd refurbished, but they literally RECONSTRUCTED this entire ride from scratch with the exact same layout in a new location! It makes sense. They said over the years the original water splash element was causing the entire building structure to corrode which is why they drained it. So cool they brought it back better than ever.
They have done a great job modernising the ride while still keeping an oldschool vibe, even including parts from the old ride in the theming. Also the new plaza looks great with so much attention to detail like the burning sign.
Thanks for the great, indepth heartfelt review! Loved hearing your thoughts and the amazing coverage of the grand opening for this beloved attraction!!
I'm so happy that fire in the hole stayed so true to the original. Fire in the hole was my very first coaster and as a kid, it sparked my enthusiasm for roller coasters of all kinds.
I agree I have similar feelings with nemesis reborn I was nervous that they would change it but it's another iconic ride that has been given new life and is as good or better than the original and will be enjoyed for generations to come
As a local for this park, and having the original FITH as my first ever credit, I can say they did outstanding with this updated version of the ride. The 3 hour wait I waited for this ride was well worth it, everything you guys said explained it perfectly. SDC did such a great job keeping the charm from the original ride and modernizing the ride to what it is today.
Love this ride! I rode in the very back, and in my opinion, it felt a little more impactful than the original, which I really enjoyed! It was definitely smoother and felt more safe. Riding in the back on the original made me almost come off the seat 😅
The new Fire in the Hole looks so awesome!! I have never been to Silver Dollar City however I have ridden Blazing Fury at DollyWood multiple times over the years. Hoping DollyWood will RMC Blazing Fury next!!
I love this version where the riders get a little moist after that drop from the water. When it comes to theme park icons who are never wearing pants, Red Flanders is right up there with Donald the Duck from Disneytown. The Train spot in the match was SYCK!!! That was cool. I love the preservation of history. Going through the fire kinda reminds me of the Great Chicago Fire diorama at the Chicago History Museum. That miniature delight gives off heat when you stand in front of it. Does this new upgraded version of Fire in the Hole give off heat as well? Great Vid Guys!
Also, if Coaster Studios reads the comments, I’m a big fan of the coastin the desert and the other series’s. Also a big fan of all of your content. Keep being awesome!!!
the faux fire was done so well that i was convinced it was real at points it's such a convincing effect i have seen people do it for Halloween and they neighbors thought it was real and called the fire department
Does anybody know how the ride is powered? Like I don’t see drive tires and the RMC employee mentioned it’s a power coaster so there’s something providing power to the cars and they’re driving themselves. Curious over the mechanics.
I feel like RMC missed an opportunity, they should have used the T-Rex track to get it out there in a real world setting. I know it is not the target ride segment, but I think they could have used it on this ride. Seems like it would have saved on cost. Maybe they did consider it. Just a thought.
Oh so there's no water cannons shooting water up in the air at the end? that with the strobe was amazing on the original when I rode in 2023. overall this looks great though!
I don't mean to sound pretentious, but have you guys considered upgrading to a 60fps vlogging camera/phone at some point? Given how incredible your ride cinematography is, I think it would really benefit your videos.
Our cameras are fully capable of shooting in 60fps- we elect not to as we're not a huge fan of the style, and much prefer 24fps since that is the standard in the film industry, and is more similar to what the human eye sees
@@CoasterStudios I'm not sure about that last point (mainly based on the existence of 240Hz monitors), but if it's an intentional artistic decision then that's fair enough.
A new stage building with new tracks and a prototype onboard audio etc. it’s not to hard to figure out if you do the math on everything that went into it.
Taylor and Sarah enjoyed your coverage of this ride. It is an example of too much money spent on theming and not on the ride itself. Unless you have nostalgia for it looks underwhelming. I”ll take Seven Dwarfs mine train at 21 million over this any day 😂
Think the original red blenders was better, so if he played by the same person who played him last time? It doesn’t seem so as he doesn’t sound as enthusiastic about losing his pants to the ball Myers. If you go on that shop, planners, outfitters, or whatever it’s called, can you find the man’s pants, What do you get as a reward? Maybe just satisfaction that you helped out your community. Sure wish they would remake thunderation, as that ride beats the heck out of you.
@Silverdollarcityfan630 oh the whole structure is new thats wild. They had to pay to remove and demo old one to then so makes sense. Woulda been more fitting to have it catch on fire then use insurance to pay for the new 1 lol
Kinda hope Dollywood keeps Blazing Fury as it is. I love the old school, janky vibe it has. Likewise, this updated version looks/sounds good. Good quirks to both of them!

The track layout is just a replica of the original layout.
They built a 7 story building from the ground up, of course it's going to be expensive.

a lot of it went into the brand new building- its 5 stories tall and MASSIVE. Plus it features prototype trains from RMC, I'm sure those weren't cheap
