Impressive how Thrawn doesn't flinch in front of the Emperor or Vader, he just carries on like a boss. I still hope he'll be able to reunite with Eli, in order to know more about the reason why the latter was sent to the Chiss in the first place.

And ten years later when his name was being used to create confusion, they almost made it again. The ‘First Order’ is a joke led by that comical General Hux.
I find it funny that as soon as the emperor sees an imperial who don't give a shit how he feels and lacks fear, it's a 50/50 chance Sidious would be enraged or honored. For Thrawn, he was ecstatic
This is definitely a cool one in my opinion from Legends. I wonder how things would’ve turned out if Thrawn himself participated at the Battle of Yavin. Would they have been able to destroy the Rebel Alliance there with Thrawn present?
This is a great question! In Canon, I would argue that if Thrawn remained with the Empire up until the Battle of Yavin, the TIE Defender most likely would have been in play by then, which would have made the Rebel assault at Yavin very difficult. That is just one path to look at, but in the case of Thrawn himself being there, that is another topic entirely and would be cool to look at from a Legends and/or Canon perspective. Thank you for watching Daryl!
It would of been interesting, especially since Thrawn was fighting for resources being diverted to Project Star Dust. Though had he not been kidnapped by space whales, it's very likely the TIE Defender would of been put into service instead of the TIE Interceptor.
Strongly doubt it. They barely got by on a miracle, and if Thrawn was there I doubt even the gold squadron would’ve even had a chance to do their attack run. They’d have all been wiped out because Thrawn would’ve had the Interceptors there, and he certainly wouldn’t have hesitated to send ships out from the beginning to defend the base.
@@SystemZ3RO no... it was too expensive. In essence plan of empire was to replace standard ties with interceptors and have elite running few tie defenders in the mix. there would certainly not be that many of them at yavin... but alone . TIE-D has one purpose - its Xwing killer.
They would of scaled down the costs, the same way the Interceptor was a scaled down Advance. It was only after Yavin did the empire ramp up their star fighter production. It is also unlikely that he would been in charge of the battle at Yavin since the Death Star was Tarkin's baby, even in Legends

Thrawn is awesome and so badass, he's a really intelligent, calm, skillful, leaderous, tactical and problem solving, honest, loyal and mostly kind leader who's a shining example to those under him and - like Vader, do it for the Empire and not for Glory, Power and Fame. You got to love it when a villian thinks differently and acts cautiously rather than being predictable which no villian in SW, not even Jabba the Hutt is. A testimony to George Lucas's creativity and decades of experience writing films, books and comics.
Wasn't Thrawn a Vice Admiral by the time of Yavin? I seem to recall that being the case. Further a video on the battle of wits between Thrawn and Zaarin during his insurrection would be incredible even if it largely takes place in TIE Fighter and not a novel

How come Thrawn was part of the small circle of the highest in the Imperial hierarchy, since he was only a captain at this point? I’m assuming there were Admirals and other ranks that surpassed his, or was he an exception due to Sidious already knowing his intellect and having him work for him before?
Others had higher rank, but not intelligence. The empire was raining and sexist(accept Disney added women to their canon) and thrawn was one of the few to break the rules and join,he was so skilled they didn't care he was alien or not. Well sidious didn't,many were racist to thrawn. He still excelled despite that.
@@fridaynightnicktoons6885Don’t know about the sexist part. Can’t find any evidence for it either in recruitment or representation. Infact I recall there being around 4 females in the Empire created before Disneys acquisition. Tessala Corvae who is one of these was first mentioned in 1997. Can’t go off the actors considering I don’t even remember anyone female in the Rebel Alliance outside of Leia going off the original movies. The only change that happened during Disney ownership was more representation of females on both sides. First time I seen a female alien in the alliance was Captain Syndulla and that was Disneys. Above all, there is also no evidence that there weren’t women serving under the stormtrooper armour. They are unseen and could be anyone. It’s very unlikely the Empire or Alliance are sexist. Infact I’d say now it’s impossible tbh. Sexism seems to be a long time past and as you’ve referenced as Thrawn dealt with himself, the xenophobia against ‘aliens’ takes a WAY WAY bigger seat and presence, and even then exceptions were made especially with Thrawn though being a blue human at look probably gave him the green flag. I have no doubt Admiral Ackbar given he was humanoid at least and not a Rebel would probably be considered by Palpatine in the Empire considering he did demonsrate way more competence and bottlenecked the Super Star Destroyer Executor into destruction.
I'm surprised Thrawn was supposed to be only a captain in 0 ABY / 19 Empire year. Going from captain to grand admiral in 4 years is a giant leap; if the Empire's naval ranks are like British/Western ranks, that's a jump of 5 ranks from O6 to O10 (I'm assuming the 'grand admiral' rank is a permanent version of our O10, fleet admiral, a rank that exists only in times of war). So he'd have gone from captain, through 2 rear-admiral ranks, then to vice-admiral, then to admiral, and finally to grand admiral.
Subscribed. I just watched your video about the Death Star weakness. I was thinking did the Empire have a back up plan in case some one with high power took over the Death Star like what would the emperor do? Like of Darth Vader decided to take the Death Star for him self or some crazy general.
Hey 1 question. Im reading Thrawn Alliance right now: When does it play out? Befor or after the Battle of Yavin 4? The first book plays befor but this one dosn't give me any info on the timeline
I Wonder why Palpatine didn't help Thrawn during his campaign in 9 ABY. Thrawn wasn't sure or didn't know about Palpatine being alive, but the emperor watched his victories and later his failuare in scilene. Why?

This channel is so dope.
Why was that guy killed just for smiling.
This guy sounds like the lore master guy got turned into a robot
I see Thrawn, I click the video simple
What’s is the canon version?
If the Sith were so powerful, why didn't they kill every person with the name Skywalker?
Why does Palpatine look like the Undertaker at 2:34?
It's funny how much of a part Thrawn plays in the stories but they completely neglect this vital character in the movies
Subscribed. I just watched your video about the Death Star weakness. I was thinking did the Empire have a back up plan in case some one with high power took over the Death Star like what would the emperor do? Like of Darth Vader decided to take the Death Star for him self or some crazy general.
Shipment of legend comics are taken out of Darth Maul in DarthKrayts
3:50 they exited the emperor's thrawn room
Hey 1 question. Im reading Thrawn Alliance right now: When does it play out? Befor or after the Battle of Yavin 4? The first book plays befor but this one dosn't give me any info on the timeline
Thrawn the Vader of the Imperial Navy
Thrawn is one of my favorite characters! If Sidious would've listen to his plan, the rebellion would have been annihilated!
Definitely.
I thought thrawn made grand admiral before the battle of yavin?
It is your destiny!!!!!!
What book is this from
Thrawn! Thrawn! Thrawn!
I Wonder why Palpatine didn't help Thrawn during his campaign in 9 ABY. Thrawn wasn't sure or didn't know about Palpatine being alive, but the emperor watched his victories and later his failuare in scilene. Why?
Wait I thought thrawn was a grand admiral when the death star was destroyed.
And then you have Canon Mitth’raw’nurodo where he never saw either of the Death Star finished
Question is this cannon cause thrawn shouldn’t be a captain by this point since rebels is pre episode 4 and he was already a grand admiral
It literally says legends in the title and considering it contradicts known canon sources I think it is safe to assume that it is indeed legends
So now in canon Thrawn is already a Grand Admiral before the battle of Yavin.
If i were emperor palpatine, i would have let thrawn design the imperial armies and fleets.
Is that the Undertaker in the thumbnail? Lol
Love star wars
Does Palpatine look like the Undertaker in the thumbnail to anyone else?
What am I missing here. He’s a Grand Admiral in Rebels right? Don’t Rebels take place before the battle of Yavin? Did he get demoted?
Different universe.
"If not for MEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeee....For comment likes!"
Why is the thumbnail a picture of the Undertaker and Avatar?
