how can i minimise the float coming back towards me as the slider settles? still get problem with bailarm open

You are using to heavy a line, and too sinking.
This drags your float towards you.
Honestly,i didn t expect Alan to fish so heavy, but there is more to the line he is using.
When using heavy sinking line ,i can t see how can you counter this problem.
There are guys that fish for this size with 1 lbs mainline!
Probably better to use normal mono(but not floating!)

Never messed around that much for slider loaded wagler float stop at max +1 foot bottom stop 12" above hook works every time for me

Would this method work for competitive carp lakes? I struggle with a pole at 13 plus metres ?

I miss that accent sounds like home . I'm trying to learn this sliding float method . I've fished a few venues where I need to get deeper but I don't like ledgering .
    Tight lines .
