OMGeez. I live in the states and am a southerner. Just hearing you guys talk is music to my ears. I hope these wonderful accents never go away. And thank you for showing us a method of fishing that is so foreign to the way we think here in the states, but I am sure that we could learn a lot from you.
What a good explanation and demonstration of the art of slider fishing Andy. Absolute pleasure to watch. Also really technical in a pleasure kind of way. Another great team presentation by the Nations greatest fishing double act. Just keep them coming. Cheers
Thanks again boys for another great fishing feature, very interesting to see different fish methods in action, you are keeping the spirits up of all the fisher people until we can all return to the banks, keep up all your good work!!!
Great video on slider fishing lads, have never tried it myself as non of the lakes I've been to over the years have been deep enough, nice bit of fun at the end by the way
Fished the slider for years. I now like cralluso up to 14 g floats which lock tight the bulk which for me is an Olivette. The loading in the float can be removed for easier vision plumbing up. the interchangeable tips allow changes in size and colour. The stem slides up and down displacing or increasing trapped air, this allows fine-tuning of the tip. I fish the river Great Ouse and Middle level as well as deep reservoirs and have had huge bags of roach Bram and skimmers. Fishing off the bottom and on the drop is more versatile than the feeder.
Use this method in Ireland, it is a brilliant method and you can catch a lot more fish with it in deeper water becasuse you can shallow up when loose feeding and then the fun can start!!
I love these two! You both 100% have got me going fishing again! A little limited in venues here but after covid I think I may be taking some trips. Also have been re stocking my gear, a pole next but kinda need to watch how much I spend as it too easy to order online! 😂
Been fishing the slider for 20 years absolutely deadly method It's surprising how many anglers don't know what the slider is won many a match last year on the slider a forgotten method.DellBoy
Question, what sort of line do you use for slider float fishing? do you use sinking line like for feeder/ledger or do you use floating like for waggler fishing? This slider fishing would be perfect for me to try on a deep reservoir near me
They're quick change swivels Andy...and They're reet good...I use them all the time pellet waggin and bomb and pellet/bread...bet ya wondering how aren't ya...😉
What rod are you using? . I'm looking for a new match rod with bigger line guides. I'm getting tired of the small line guides catch the floatstop. What are people using for slider fishing?
Hello you two love the videos you two do to giver. I'm partlysited because of a stroke I had , im get back in to fishing again. But I have for got a lot of information I see you doing the slider floats can you send the information on how you set up your regs. Thank you colin bradford. In Milton Keynes.
So you need to still plumb the depth and you use line stops to regulate the float depth ? Still find it confusing I know if I have a tangle on the line it will slow the cast down.
Love a bit of slider fishing. Always found a sideways strike (rod parallel to the water) is by far the best. I think I would have put more shot on the bottom to hold the hook bait steady too, when it's dragging through like that the presentation isn't to best.
I've fished the slider in the past and in my experience you don't get bites on the drop. You have so much weight pulling your bait down so fast the fish don't get a chance to take it on the drop. On even bigger floats the weight could be the equivalent of a small bomb, and I've never had a bite on the drop on one of them.
@@jamsams, I’ve had bites (and hooked fish) on the drop on the slider. The problem is you don’t get proper indication. The float just didn’t cock because the fish were already on. ;)
There's a water near me that begs to be fished with a slider but never seen anyone use the method......be great to see a class angler like yourself fish the place, it's full of dirty old bream's and some really old carrrrrp's

Great to see the good old slider 👍🏻 what’s next the swing tip 😉
Also a big hug from Estonia!

Really enjoyable film showing a method rarely used. Well-done.
Makes want to try slider fishing, keep up the good work guys!
My favorit deep water slider fishing at least, thank you Andy. 😀😀😀
I've been really looking forward to this one!
I tried a slider rig on the Gloucester canal and the lads from my club all thought I was mad 😆
Was just thinking of trying this at Perton

used to fish the slider on the weaver years ago

Thanks gents can you demo the slider knot sometime please
River Weaver - Aerosol or Red Lion or National, at Winsford was a killer method dropping through loose feed.

Sliding float the best
Hi guys love your videos keep catching them big wobbly carp👍👍
Great technique for the trout lakes here in Alberta.

What type of knot do you use?? Is it a separate piece of line tied on?
The way Andy presented those ooked maggots I can see him making a living on the jewelery channel 😘
Just brilliant 🎣

Do you have to sink your line after casting as couldn’t work out what you was doing after the cast please?
What rod are you using? . I'm looking for a new match rod with bigger line guides. I'm getting tired of the small line guides catch the floatstop.

Hi guys another great video has always.can you do a short video on reel sizes thanks

Nice video.👍
Hello. Great video. I love the slider fishing.
One question: what shots is Andy using for the bulk? Here in Romania we only have sliding olivettes.
So you need to still plumb the depth and you use line stops to regulate the float depth ?
Still find it confusing I know if I have a tangle on the line it will slow the cast down.
Why not just say “tangle free” Andy 🤣🤣🤣🤣you crack me up
How come the slider isn’t popular in the UK any more? Is it because it’s easier or more efficient to fish the feeder/ picker in deeper swims?
Swing tip next😀

Any advice on what to look for when getting bites on the drop?

Had to be probed by Jamie on his knees before he mentioned feathering....what else is he keeping from us? What's he not telling us?
One thing Andy hasn't mentioned was how he ties the stop knot onto his main line?
Just google sliding stop knot. Dead easy 👍🏻
Can we see Jamie rig for ide compared to Andy ide ring for the the time of year
Brilliant
How to plumb the depth with a slider float?
Did you both use the same ground bait mix? Loved the last few videos when Andrew and James are having so much fun 👍🏽😀
There's a water near me that begs to be fished with a slider but never seen anyone use the method......be great to see a class angler like yourself fish the place, it's full of dirty old bream's and some really old carrrrrp's
How do you plumb up?
Are you allowed to fish on lockdown i england
slider is old school, nowadays where i fish up to 22ft deep people are using 8-10 mtr whips fishing to hand for roach and skimmers
you two are great together
Excuse my ignorance but how do you know where to put the stop knot.
Plumb up same as you would do on a normal waggler, and adjust the stop knot position accordingly.
Polaris float 1/4 oz bomb so much easier than that set up and it doesn’t drift about 👍🏻
You don't get tangled with this baby 👍
Dumb question. So you just add shot that would cock it normally, no more no less. I understand the rest ...thnks for any reply.
And of course you could use a Polaris float.
Probably the easier option but far less effective and versatile :)
They ort to do a contest just using Slider only
#chubforbill 🙏🏼
here a another dieing art of fishing its called stret-pegging
Character this guy but quality 👌
Anti tangle Andy
I keep saying it... That's not a job. LoL
;) ;) ;)
