    I thru-hiked the 272 mile Vermont Long Trail between June 4, 2020, beginning at 6:00PM, and June 17, 2020, finishing at 2:30PM.

    I came to the Long Trail full of anxiety; the longer I hiked, though, the better I felt. 13.5 days after leaving the Massachusetts border, I arrived at the edge of Canada feeling whole and purposeful, once more. Thank you to all the generous souls who take part in the maintenance and creation of trails just like this one, I, and so many other wandering souls, are forever in your debt.

    250+ miles of roots, rocks, and mud! This video brings back SO MANY memories of my childhood. I grew up in Rutland and hiked all of the LT by many day hikes and overnight trips with the GMC and Boy Scouts. Finished back in 1975. Glad to see there is finally a hiker bridge over the Winooski River. Looks like you had a great time on your trip!

    Hey Ivey. This was great. I have been staying in Killington, VT for several months and so I pass the trail head for The Long Trail every time I go to or from town down to Rutland. Hikers are frequent riders on our public shuttle bus. I used to camp a lot in the summers up around Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT and thereabouts but I never did any trail hiking. I think I might give it a shot this spring or early summer. Thanks for sharing!

    Hi! Three things that stood out to me: 1. You! Jeez you are really buhyooteefull! 2. VT. Yes! There's a possibility that I might move there in spring/summer and you capture what I'm going after when I move there, wilderness/peace/happiness. 3. The shot that lasts a few seconds starting at 13:16 is just incredible. The movement of the branches, light and your tent. .... Thanks for sharing this. I'll be sure to check out your other vids! :)

    I know you are a nutritionist . Why has no one focused on suppliments for assisting the long distance hike health advantages. I see most suffering from nutritional shortages and they never realize it. They are only worried about getting enough caloric junk . Joints are sore every day , they have muscle cramps, stomach aches, lowered immunity etc..a little MSM, magnesium, probiotics, enzymes, vitamin D, C, and zinc would solve these problems. Foods just no longer contain enough , due to mass production. Sorry I made this too long.

      @shetreksco  3 года назад

      There are people focusing on nutrition, check out the backcountryfoodie on instagram! And there are many others like her. Talking about what I eat on trail does not interest me currently. I've tried fueling my hikes every which way and honestly, each thru-hike is different dietarily for me.
