Gail Borden. Buffalo Bayou is one of many Bayous in and around Houston, Texas. Buffalo Bayou flows through downtown Houston and ultimately drains into Galveston Bay. It was the basis of the Houston Ship Channel.
I grew up in Texas and this told me SO MANY things that were a part of my childhood than I never knew was connected, much less how. Borden's milk, Borden's condensed milk, Elmer's glue, were ubiquitous. Amazing to have some of my ignorance relieved!
So the meat biscuits were a flop, but can we all agree he was ahead of his time? If he were alive today and saw Impossible Meat and Beyond Burger in stores flying off the shelves he would feel ROBBED! LOL
General Santa Ana had a Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered for the dead of the Alamo for consecutive days plus gave the women & children food shelter clothing etc and returned them safely to Northern TX afterwards.
