=== IMPORTANT ===
This video is a remake of the 2016 version. The footage, marble teams, commentary and results are the same as the original. However, I remade this video to get rid of copyrighted music and to improve the quality.
Improvements compared of original version:
- On-screen graphics are renewed but has the same style as the original version, and a lot of errors and typos are corrected.
- New music for opening and victory ceremony
- Crowd cheering noise instead of music
- Team member names of the Chocolatiers and Chaos are updated to the current names.
- New 2019-style Marble League logo to avoid issues with IOC

@G yes but they are 10x more expensive for humans than for marbles, so if you know any marbles that can hook you up I recommend getting them that way

@@andrewkeller1117 It's not a matter of race, it's a matter of size. The venues they book can only hold 1 human for about every 250 marbles unfortunately.
Watches the first event: "Wow...there are a lot of people getting awfully emotional over some damn marbles..."
Binge watched the whole Marblelympics 2k16 and saw my newly adopted team choke into a 3rd place finish: "Why Thunderbolts?! WHY?!"
Basically my Dad during Curling. Minute 1: "It's just marbles, this is ridiculous." Minute 2: "Stick! *STICK!* "
Still devastated the Thunderbolts didn’t win it

Astronomy that’s the worst part about the defeat in the end. Our run was probably the most impressive in the ML. For so many events we stayed in first place

Same. I got hooked on the curling in the 2010 winter Olympics the same way. The commentary was perfect; it kept you informed without trying to overpower the event. It turns out that a lot of people got hooked on it, because viewership jumped and the network put more focus on it in 2014 - but they made the commentary overbearing and that ruined it.
Just wait ‘til you get caught up on 2018.

The Marblelympics and the Sand Marble Rally are the world's greatest sporting events.
Say what you want about the Savage Speeders, but this was an epic final. They executed when it mattered, and the Thunderbolts haven’t really been the same since.
To be honest, Thunderbolts are the most balanced team and they still are. They just haven't been luckily lately.

Im a Mellow Yellow fan, and watching the top for teams all make the finals was amazing. And then watching Mellow Yellow have the lead and lose it in the last peice of track was so sad. If Yellup held on, Mellow Yellow would have been the Champs

Speedy was just too clutch in that race. PRobably the greatest moment in Marblelympics history.
Thunderbolts were the most consistent across the entire Marblelympics. Savage Speeders just in the points just 6 times compared to the 10 that Thunderbolts finished.

@@AntonoirJacques I think the Speeders are just a bit heavier than the rest. These athletes have worked day and night for years trying to push the limit of marble existence. Other teams are simply not willing to sacrifice as much to win.

What a way to finish the year: a photo finish with the top two teams competing. Great showing from the Speeders, and luckily I know full well that the O'Rangers only get better from here. Can't wait for 2019

Got hooked on this over the past few months with the latest seasons of Marble League and Marbula One. So, of course now I've got to go back and catch up on my "Marble Run History." Who would have ever guess that watching videos of marbles rolling through various configurations of track would be so much fun.
Three things really stood out to me.
1--How much the different events have evolved in sophistication from this season until 2021. And I'm guessing that as I watch these video (as best I can) in chronological order, I'll be able to see how the way an event panned out leads to innovation for the next go-round.
2--The awesome amount of engineering ability that is needed to pull of something like this. I can attest firsthand...back in the 60's I held my own "Marble Races," using my "shooter" marbles (back then, EVERY boy owned at least a few marbles, and my Hot Wheels tracks....very crude to say the least...but it does give one an immense appreciation for what went into designing, building and running these events. I'm going to guess that the journey from the drawing board to the final product involved many, many, many modifications and adaptation of the original design.
3--Recognition of the tremendous amount of time it takes to record one of these videos. Again, firsthand knowledge. During my days at the U. of Pittsburgh, my roommate's girlfriend was in the theater department. She was interested in the writing, filming and production end rather than acting, and on a couple occasions, I got roped into being part of her "film crew." One particular project was a "Claymation" short subject, so I know exactly how much time goes into these "stop action" sequences, like the closing ceremonies.
Anyway, awesome job, Jelle. For the "veteran marble watchers," I can only imagine how much your videos helped people get through the Lockdown of 2020. Hats of to you, my good man....and to your crew as well.
And one last thing. A very special hats off to Greg Woods, whose expert commentary added exponentially to the enjoyment of the videos....the best racing commentary I've heard since Bill Fleming, Jackie Stewart and Chris Econmaki covered auto racing for ABC's Wide World of Sports 1960's and 70's.
Found an early favorite with the Limers, too bad they didn't do so well the whole marblelympics. However, I'm glad they weren't last in the end thanks to the Pinkies throwing in the final event. Oh, and my bitter rivalry with the Oceanics has started...
Does anybody else beside me go "OOOOOOOOO" anytime my o'rangers are participating? These videos get me more pumped that some actual sports. Can't wait for MarbleLympics 2019!

I mean Savage Speeder finished 2nd in both 2017 and 2018. I believe in them to pull out a will in 2019. Kinda insane how high they place each time.

I love the Marblelympics so much Jelle, but its definitely interesting (and impressive) just how much better and large scale the event has become since 2016! The difference between the 2016 and 2017 Marblelympics is incredible (and the 2018 Winter Marblelympics was the best yet) and it really makes me pumped for 2019! My biggest complaint with these 2016 Marblelympics is that most of the events are so SHORT and I always love their to be multiple races/heats in each event rather than the one race being the race for the medals. You have put so much incredible effort and imagination into the last two years of the event and I really hope you can manage to surpass even the amazing 2018 event with 2019's broadcast! I could literally watch a 6 hour long complete Marblelympics in one sitting so please make the entire competition as long and as in-depth as possible!!!!

I watched a few other races before deciding to start from the beginning. Savage Speeders is my team and my favorite is Speedy! So pumped he won it all for his team. And the Savage Speeders will not settle for any medal except gold!
I seriously held my breath on that last run. That was more intense than watching the Olympic finals. (And I personally know some Olympians... I'm a bad friend...)
I've watched backward from 2018 and so knew who was going to win.. but not how close it was! The Marblelympics never fail to entertain.

Watched a bit of the 2021 one but felt like I had to go back and see where the teams started. I now am in love with the O’rangers and sad to see they couldn’t pull of a podium finish
