Marble Race: Marble League 2017 E5: Hurdles

- The 5th event of the 2017 Marble League (Marblelympics)!
This time the Hurdles Marble Race!
Originally the final event in 2016, the Hurdles event makes a triumphant return, though slightly different. Instead of Lego bricks, small structures made K'nex are used as 'hurdles' the marbles must push past, to reduce the amount of failed runs and risk to the marbles. Much like the 5-meter dash, this event is as simple as could be: four marbles rush to the bottom of the course, first one there wins. The structure is also similar, with marbles starting in four heats of four, with the best two moving on to the semifinals, where this process repeats, leaving the final four marbles to race for the top spots.

Savage Speeders setting the track on fire with the new record and winning the event despite losing the final. Mellow Yellow, Orangers, Chocolatiers showing their worth too. Limers once again a strong competition too, love their energy. Great work.
Thoughts and prayers to Momomomo. Truly an inspiration who's devoted heart and soul to this sport. Here's hoping Meemo can pick up the slack.

O’rangers made a great comeback but then couldn’t pull it off for the win in the final. Still, a third place it not too shabby given the high caliber of the contestants here.

I think the hurdles event is more interesting than the 5m sprint. In the sprint, basically whichever racer gets out in front at the beginning is going to be the winner, with very little variation. But here, the hurdles add a new variable that can change the race. Seeing the racers here get shifted around was nice.

I discovered this channel when 2019 Qually came out, already became fan of the Oceanics and then Shining Swarm
Team Galactic really needed that win. I don't usually like Starry that much, but he really pulled his weight and more in this race.
Yeah we started very poorly this win might bring us back into the game. Also, I hate astro, he fucked up last event.
@@merta.2623 I don't mind Astro so much, but Pulsar is my main marble. That marble puts the team on his back so often, he probably needs surgery.
Man Sublime from the Limers must have been so devastated by that Semi-Final result. Taking out that early lead and getting 0.01 seconds short of the World Record, and still being beaten by the Speeders just blasting past to a New World Record. You can see how demoralized he was in the next one, with the poor showing lagging behind so much.

I've decided that I'm an O'ranger fan if for no other reason the "Oooooooo..." cheer their fans yell whenever the O'rangers are competing.
😤 at semi final B the oceanic had a little jump at the end; maybe some debris on the track!!! Rematch
Team galactic was really consistent during this event, consistently placing well. good wrk (even though I'm an oceanic fan, the blue is just too pretty).
Its sad that momo's team had lost a member for good. It was a bad injury😞
