  • This is the fifth episode in the build series that follows my journey as a backyard restorer, undertaking a 1964 EH Holden panel van restoration that holds sentimental value to me as it was originally started by my panelbeater Dad, who has passed.
In this video, I go pull out the engine and transmission from the VR Commodore in order to bolt it into the EH. This includes making some cuts in the floor and of course, running into some troubles along the way. But as normal, I show you how I work through it to get everything all bolted up.
Throughout this build series, I share what I am learning along the way and the mistakes I make in order to show you, that anyone can have a crack at this type of restoration (if they have the patience!). I am not a panelbeater or mechanic by any stretch, but love spending the time in the shed restoring these old classics.
