When I rode this as a kid with my family, we were in the front half of the vehicle. With an incredible sense of comedic timing, and the very end immidiately after he shouts "THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT! THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT!" The ride stopped. My family all unanimously said: "We didn't make it." It was the funniest thing ever. I don't think the family riding behind us spoke English and they seemed very confused when we were all dying laughing.

This ride actually helped me not get scared by driving in the dark/driving in general! I get nervous about driving but in the last couple months I’ve been able to lower the nerves by a LOT by finding things to do/think that made me more confident. The first time I had to drive home in the dark, I was really nervous but then I randomly thought “hey this kinda reminds me of that dinosaur ride from Animal Kingdom” and then said out loud to myself “let’s go GET THAT DINO” right before pulling out onto the street. And it sounds dumb but it really worked!! I felt WAY less nervous after that. Now whenever I feel nervous while driving I say out loud (or in my head if other ppl are there) “let’s go GET THAT DINO” and it calms me down a bit:)

For some reason, I thought the dinosaur held the door for us to escape at the end.

I remember taking this ride with my army buddy and his family a little over ten years ago. His youngest son, eight years old at the time and very intelligent, nevertheless completely bought in to the story and was convinced we actually travelled back in time and brought back a dinosaur. I didn’t have the heart to shatter the illusion and let him continue to believe the fantasy. I was worried his classmates might tease him, but he told me he figured it out by the time he returned to Canada. Well done Disney imagineers.

this ride actually fucked me up a little when i went a few weeks ago and remember it freaking me out when i was 12 and im 20 now so i thought it wouldnt be that bad but it feels like being in the rapture or something, its so visceral and not because of the dinosaurs trying to kill you, its being jerked around in the dark with bright flashing lights

This scared the HECK out of me when I was 8, but I loved it afterwards - gave me such a strange fear/admiration and I think it helped foster my love (and respect) for what real dinosaurs might be like: extremely dangerous wild animals haha. I can see how other kids would be only afraid - I already was a dinonerd.

Yep! I lost count how many times I’ve been on this over the years, so it all kind of blends in lol. Especially since the ride is pretty much exactly the same since it opened! A few times the big dinosaur animatronics were frozen and not working at times over the last 10 years or so, but lately everything has been working to my knowledge! I will have an evening/night Animal Kingdom walkthrough on Sunday! Thanks for watching as always Liz 😃
