I went on it when i was a baby
@@aleshiabrooks8078i’d love to go along this riders sush a big cry baby dxx
My first visit to WDW was nearly 50 years ago. I rode this with my dad. I was 10. It was the most amazing thing I’d ever seen. Glad to see some things haven’t changed … stretching room, dancing ghosts, hitch hiking ghosts and the talking heads. It was magical to me. It still is. Great video!
Hi
Pot and I will be there for you guys
Window and I will
Hello room go hailway door outside
Hi.
My first memory of this ride is when you’re getting ready to board the “doom” buggy my dad was standing behind me and said, “look, everybody goes in - but nobody comes out” (because people exit in a different area and they are empty when you board) freaked me out then - but makes me smile every time I ride now
I used to be terrified of this ride as a kid, now it's my favorite ride to do as an adult.. I love it.
same
agreed ☺
🍦🍧🥮🍧🍤🥮
I cried when I was 4 because they showed a ghost in the mirror
The AC on this ride after walking around in the park all day hits different too!
Living in FL with Disney passes, we went every weekend. This was my favorite ride. Rode it hundreds of times. But I only recently discovered that you get murdered in the ride and become their 1000th ghost. When you see the bride and she says "I do" you get pushed from the top window. It's the part in the ride where you flip backwards. You see the window, the starry sky, and you land outside in the cemetery...this is where the celebration singing begins because you joined them. At the beginning, the narrator says you can make arrangements to stay at the end of the tour. You are murdered at the end of the tour. Did anyone know this? I found this out 2 days ago and came here to see the ride...and sure enough...it's true! How awesome is that?
wow that’s dark. but this is still one of my favourites
That is so cool! I never knew that!
Our butler last time did a great job; first it was “I’ll shall see if the master is ready for you.” Then “Please pause before the door (it was still closed). If you continue walking you will slam into the door. As humorous as that may be for me, l’m sure what it would be quite painful for you.”
Bro understood the assignment 😂
Another iconic Disney ride. This has to be in everyone's top 5 for the WDW parks!
Yes, it has to be!
Yes.
My #1 forever.
Yeah, after splash mountain, this is my favorite.
My favorite! I ride it more than once each time.
Sooo iconic. I haven't been on the ride in over 10 years and it still looks great
i had heard so many stories about this ride & finally after nearly 30 years i was finally able to get on it. it boy it didn't disappoint. that opening in the room is still one of my faves
Watching this after watching The new Haunted Mansion movie! So cool how much they incorporated from this into the movie, the accuracy !
When most people think of getting engaged at Disney World, they think of Cinderella's Castle. I got proposed to in a Dune Buggy in the Haunted Mansion! It looks like we're officially...stuck together for eternity??
Thank younfor uploading this--it is soon to be a godsend for me. My son has autism, and his potential to enjoy/despise this ride is at a precise balance. By using this video, I can show him ahead of time, and give him the means to judge for himself. So THANK YOU.
I’m glad that I can help Megan! Thanks for watching
I've got siblings with autism. I understand the feeling. Way to find a way to make your child comfortable and not be forced into something distressing.
Best quality video of HM I have ever seen. The monument at 16:38 has some good memories for us. When we took our daughters on their first trip we had them sit on the ledge in front of this monument for a photo opp. It became a tradition ever year. Then, when our daughters got married we made their husbands sit in the same spot for a photo. In 2023, my daughter wants to start the same tradition when she takes her two daughters for their first trip to Disney World and Haunted Mansion.
Thank you so much! That is an awesome tradition!
❤❤
Has anyone else seen the pet cemetery with the statue of Mr. toad in it?
Here lies Toad, it’s sad but true, not nearly as marketable as Winnie the Pooh.
It’s even better when you know the whole story
Thanks for the memories.
It’s been 40 years for me. Still looks just as amazing and enchanting.
The way cast members treat you in this ride is very cool!
I'm obsessed with the haunted mansion I have figurines, posters, and even the entire collection of the tales from the haunted mansion books and crafts I ❤ HAUNTED MANSION.
Welcome foolish mortal/mortals to the haunted mansion
My first time at Disneyworld hard to believe was nearly forty years ago when I was five going on six and I'll never forget it either. The summer of 1984,good times.
I don't think I'm able to enter the Haunted Mansion cause of my medical problems. So it's handy to see what it's like by watching RUclips videos of it. Thanks for sharing this with the world
I’m so sorry but I’m glad that there are many people out here that make videos for people to enjoy ❤
My parents just told me recently that we might be going to Disney World in March. I can’t wait to ride this again. It’s both one of me and my Mom’s favorites!
That’s awesome!
Great job keeping the camera steady. I usually get motion sickness watching these types of videos. So cool being able to compare MK's version with Disneyland's. I've been riding Disneyland's since the week it first opened. Curious if MK's seasonal overlay is shown in this video. If so, I much prefer Disneyland's overlay to this one. Oogie is missing, too.
Thank you! Unfortunately the Magic Kingdom version doesn’t get the overlay
Did you see the original hatbox ghost during the first week?
This is the one ride I vividly remembered visiting as a child
Did it scare you or were you ok?
Could have this on a loop all day!!!
Especially since it is a scary ride again.
I got the audio of this, I listen to it all the time
Loved the random kid going “AHHH” at 17:00
I think that’s a crow. It doesn’t sound like a person.
Classic!! Oldie but a goodie!! Loved it! Even though we got stuck on it one time. My mom was so scared cause she thought we were high up in the air!! I calmed her nerves, the ride started back up n she was ok!!
The Haunted Mansion is a classic Disney ride that never gets old
Rode it last night and it broke down several times. One of three rides that broke down yesterday. All older rides. Glad it wasn’t a roller coaster.
They should turn Disney's haunted mansion Into a hotel plus ride which would be very cool
A classic attraction. Good to see the interactive queue portion used again. Fantastic complete experience 4K. Btw I wonder if that Dad at the beginning, told his kid what he was doing..😄
Yes! I was actually glad there was a decent line. I rarely get to go through the interactive queue, so that was nice! Haha yea I’m not sure if the dad responded! Lol
@@4KWDW so glad to see it is a scary ride once more
The Muppets Haunted Mansion special actually uses that exact joke at one point! (although, the emergency spiel was voiced by the Ghost Host Himself!)
@@megelizabeth9492 yeah
And the entire Walt Disney world pArk iconic and big enough to be a theme so no nightmare
I love how the announcer/voice-over guy was imitating Vincent Price. I haven't been able to go to any of the Disney parks since I was eleven, a visit for that specific birthday, and The Haunted Mansion remains a treasured memory. My favorite part has always been the ballroom, because I'd love to learn to dance like that. I know it's a hologram, but I still stand by my point. You did an awesome job with how clear this recording is. (4/23/2033)
Fun fact: Those ghosts in the ballroom that are dancing are actually animatronics.
I went on this ride last year in Feb. And right where the hitch hiking ghosts appear in the cars in those mirrors, THE RIDE DECIDED TO BREAK DOWN TEMPORARILY. It was nice though, because at the start of the ride throughout the dark chambers, I got to take my mask off for a little while.
May this ride never close down.
I rode this is 2000 when I was 17 . I have always loved Jim Henson and wanted to be a puppeteer. This gave me chills and butterflies and I cried because of how beautiful it was !
I loved the Muppets Haunted Mansion special
Same here!
My husband and I will be in Disney World next month. I. HOPE we’ll be able to do this one!!!!!
Such a good ride
My wife and I go to Disney a few times a year. This is an absolute favorite of ours
Honestly, if you go to MK, you have to do this ride! However, the scariest part is the queue. It is all outside and the heat will absolutely kill you.
Amazing low light video! I have not seen anything recorded as good as this!
Thank you so much Ken! I really appreciate that😃
I was there in 1978 and 12 year's old.
What bothered me was the slow traveling and turning. I was so glad when the ride was over. And this video brought back a lot of memories I didn't realize I still had,
Me & my older sister were in one cart and my mom & younger sister in the other.
I remember when The voice said not to lower the safety bar, I remember being scared that I was trapped and only it could release me. Maybe that's why I always hated sitting in the middle of the dinner table during holiday dinners.
10:31
Am I the only one who got phantom of the opera vibes from the candles at this part?
THE best legendary ride of the Magic Kingdom
This ride is still one of my favorites!
Great watch during lunch break…Thank you!!
That sounds like a fantastic lunch break Rick! Thanks for watching as always 😃
Ohhhhh ooooooooook.
I haven’t been on this ride since I was 10 years old. I hope to visit WDW again soon.
Still my favorite Disney world ride of all time
I could ride this over and over for hours.
I see people saying they were scared of this ride, but it seems pretty tame to me. Curse of Darkastle in Williamsburg, VA was scarier than this. But things also popped out at you and rushed towards you.
This is perfect to watch right before you start the movie on Disney Plus. 🤗🤗🤗
This and the tower and terror are the most terrifying rides !! I went to Disneyland when I was 7 and it was crazyyy !!
going to disney for the first time in 7 years next month. decided to watch this before going on the actual ride to make sure i won’t be too spooked 😅
That’s awesome! 😃
Love this. The singing busts are my favorite. Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize! 👻
This is my favorite ride! I subscribed, so don't stop posting 4K WDW videos! I also like how you rode this in October just to get us in halloween spirit even though it's currently April.
Thank you so much for subscribing and for watching Stanley!
my first time riding this, i was terrified and wouldn’t open my eyes. still scared me at the end a bit but it’s an awesome ride and i love it so much!
That was me too
When I was a kid this was my favorite ride. I was very disappointed when I visited the park in 2007 and discovered they had change it to be more comical like the haunted mansion movie with Eddie Murphy. Comical made it much less interesting. After seeing this video I am glad to see they changed it back to a scary ride again. It just works better that way. Can't wait to go back one day.
I was too scared to go in as a kid. Thanks for uploading so I can see what I missed now as an adult.
I miss riding this ride so much ❤❤❤
me too! I haven't been in to Disney World since 2001! i have been to Disney World 6 times and i love this ride
Loved watching this on my 60” TV screen. (Phone didn’t do it justice.) One of my favorite rides! Thank you. ❤️
Thank you Pamela! Yes I agree, the TV is the best way to watch! 😃
Cool vid...this is a little bit different from Disneyland's haunted mansion but still has much in common with the original in Anaheim
You can definitely tell this was uploaded during the pandemic.
This was one of my childhood rides at Disney World!!!
As always, great quality video (and audio!)
Thank you so much Artanis!
Wonderful !!
Felt like I was right there next to you
Really fun. Thanks for always doing such an excellent job 👍😁💕
I really appreciate it Debbie! That is always the goals with these videos😊 Thanks so much!
😀🥰
I rode this maybe three weeks ago, and man this ride was fun, like really fun!
Went to WDW for the first time in over 20 years, and made a mad dash immediately for this ride; I knew it had to be the first one I rode.
Loved this ride. Scared the crap out of me as a kid. Vicent Price's voice was perfect for the host ghost.
Was first there is 1971 and beyond. Fond memories.
One of my favorite rides at Disney and such a great video absolutely the best i have seen so clear and professionally done so glad i found your channel it's the best.
I really appreciate the kind words Pete! I’m very glad the video came out well. Thank you so much😃
Fun Fact: Before Disney introduced the world to The Haunted Mansion Ride, people never REALLY decorated for Halloween at their house. Once people came to Disney and saw how cool the haunted mansion was, they wanted to try and recreate that spooky feel to their own home at Halloween.
Soon, people were doing more than just a pumpkin on the front step...and it was all because of THIS ride.
What ? It opened in 1971… Halloween was celebrated by then.. it might have added to it but people were decorating in the 50s
@@realitychampion8022 putting a pumpkin on your front porch isn't exactly "decorating"...I don't remember seeing front lawns or front porches decorated very much when I was a kid in the late 70's early 80's. A few pumpkins and scary music maybe....but that was about it.
Now....every other house is decorating which really boomed through the 90's and 2000's
Rode this last night. It broke down 5 times. Took at least 10 minutes for the whole ride. It was one of three rides that broke down while I was at Disney world. All older rides.
My wife and I are heading to WDW in February and this will be my first time there. I have been to Disneyland in California many times so I am looking forward to seeing the differences between the two parks.
3:26 An interactive element added in 2011 after my (so far) only visit there in 1995.
7:46 Paul Frees as in California. Here in Disney World though WERe standing still, not sinking like Disney land and the roof is going up.
8:46 Cars start right after leaving the stretching rooms. We go by an art 🖼️ gallery just like Disneylands that we’d WALK by, 9
9:56 Here more rooms like marble busts and library are added 10:18
10:28 staircases everywhere
11:16 back to a creepy Anaheim element. Seen in All Haunted Mansions ghost
No hatbox ghost like Cali, but at end we ride under madame, not leave to ride on ramp by her as at Walt Disney’s original
These videos are so helpful to me, thank you for making them!
That’s great to hear! Thanks for watching 😃
☺☺
Love this ride. I did Disney World in 1997. It's scary how much you forget over the years. Thanks for your video it brought back memories I had forgotten. In oct I and my whole family will be here in Disney world can't wait. My favorite ride after Pirates of the Caribbean.
I remember going on this when I was like 10 y.o., so 23 years ago, and I was so scared the whole time waiting in line. It was just the contrast on how it looked in the "lawn" versus how creepy the mansion looked. And I have always had an active imagination, so the water front property like bayou and the wolves howling the closer you got to the entrance of the mansion and just being low to the ground since I was short and not being able to see ahead of me, so the anticipation was killing me was all so nerve racking.
Then when you step into the foyer and it gets cold and all I did the whole time was hold on my step dads pants and look down at the ground the whole time. I grew up with Resident Evil and Tales From the Crypt and so actually coming to something called the Haunted Mansion was just terrifying to me.
There should be some dog footprints on the stairs--Sherlock Holmes fans will get why!
This was my fav ride at Disney.
Got back from wdw April 25. I miss it. Great time. Thanks for posting these videos. They help out a lot
This is one of my favorite rides
13:42
i remember walking into this mansion when i was 16 yo on my holidays there from australia and can't believe it is still standing there, oh that was 30 years ago!!
I’m going to Disney World for the first time this November and this is literally the ride I’m most excited about I cannot wait!
Ok heres a list of things you need to do park by park in the order I went with
Animal kingdom:first go see its tough to be a bug show and if you want to be wet sit in the front middle but if not anywhere else is OK then go to the Asia area(I think there should be a sign)and see kali river rapids and I don't know if there were any other rides over there but you can go see then head to the pandora area(should be a sign)and go on the pandora flight of passage(the line is like 2 hours long)then after see the river ride wich is a smaller line.but you don't have to do this
Magic kingdom:so if it's raining you can get a poncho at the front shop and if your hungry there's a Italian restaurant at the front based on an old movie I don't remember (the one with the dogs that do the spaghetti kiss thing)then you can walk down the main place (there's a Cafe but it's a Starbucks in disguise) then you can see the castle but there's a bridge and over there is the tommorow land area and there's some other things but if you want to just chill you can go on the tomorrow land express and you can see some weird invention stuff but be a little careful because the escolater up isn't an escalator it's a flat conveyerbelt but you can also see a monsters Inc. Laugh floor show with Mike wazaoski and you can see a buzz lightyear ride where you shoot targets then I think either behind that place or behind the castle there's other classic things but I think behind the castle has a fairy and this ride.i don't remember much about this park
Disney springs:basicly just restaurants and clothes stores but I did see something about making chocolate
Hollywood studios:it has one of those car zip line things and the tower of terror but I don't know if that's just a decor thing and there's some theaters and a mickey railroad ride and a Toystory area with a woody kiddy restaurant and a slinky roller coaster and a alien bumper car ride and somewhere up i think is a star wars area with some gift shops and a 3s rise of the reistitance ride and somewhere else is a star wars meet and greet thing.
Epcot:this place is "different" it has a bunch of country areas with restaurants (Germany area has beer in the big 🍺 cups and at the France area has a crepe restaurant with ratatouille (the non movie kind) and a 3d ratatouille ride and there's a finding Nemo turtle talk show thing and a 3s paragliding ride and that's all I remember.and when I went there the two water park were closed so I don't know about those also if I provided bad directions you can talk to an employee or look at signs
Oh and I forgot one thing there's a safari ride at animal kingdom with lions and I think hippos too and other things and I saw some bug eggs on the ground and it's really cool and at epcot under the big ball there is a chill ride and at epcot I don't remember where but there is a ride where it's single rider only and you go in a open air cart and go very very very very very very very very very very very diw h endow verenskswjdndjsnfiwhdnwjs fast.and remember you don't have to do this
@@Skibidibugs thanks! :)
@@Kanonball1999 your welcome
Thank you for filming this. What I hate about this is the annoying flashlights that blinks like crazy, it get loud for the eyes & can cause seizure
Ive seen alot of Haunted mansion ride throughs and yours may be the best....the audio is perfect.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the whole experience. One of my favorite rides as a child. 1970 's
14:00 can't wait to see the hat box ghost here next year
That ride is long. Sometimes I wonder how it fits in the castle
It doesn't. When you go in the stretching room, you are going under into another building behind the mansion.
@@cyriljackal thanks, I really thought it was all in the castle lol
GREAT video so upclose to everything!!! Excellent virtual ride, whoever filmed this, best job I've ever seen!!!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that!
So nice! Thank you! 👏👏😍😍
No problem Kelly! Thanks for watching!
I remember the first time I rode this ride, I was around 10, so that would be 1992, and walking through the trail that led up to the mansion with all the tomb stones. Then when we got up at the front, a worker opened the door and said: "More bodies." then we got into the stretching room and that scared me to no end, that and when the lights went out before we boarded the actual ride. Such a classic.
“There’s room for 1,000. Any volunteers”? Yes! 4k
Haha yep it was me!
Honestly, same.
I worked here 15 years ago and there stories i could tell i could write a book.haha
It’s amazing I went to Disney World for the first time when they opened back in the early 70s I still love it until this day!
The Best Nickname is Walt Disney's Scooby (Dooby) Doo.
Probably my most favorite, but then again, I have so many favorites at MK.
i absolutely love this ride! One of my favs
This was my first go to ride when I went to Disney World
HAPPY HALLOWEEN,
EVERYONE !
🎃🎃👻👻🦇🦇🌕🌕
thanks
I worked at liberty tree tavern the year the Park opened,it was a great time in my life, a 17 year old having the time of my life
OMG I LOVE this! I'm way overdue to return!
I've noticed that in Disneyland it plays the original haunted mansion music but the kingdom one is different but still a great ride.
This is the first ride I go to at Disney. It’s my favorite ride ever at Disney. Too bad none of us can be buried there. Drats.
I know it's a ride at Disneyworld and people are excited, but I find myself wishing that they would just all shut up so I can hear the ride.
Thank you!!! Its the audio for me...
It’s my pleasure! Thanks for watching 😃
