Another great use for somersloops is to get a lot of tickets early on. Can put them in critter drops to protein production to double that, then into the protein to DNA too, so four DNA per critter drop and send that into the sink gives a ton of tickets easily early game.
Dang, I kinda didn't like the bus approach at first since it kind of takes the adventure out of it, but seeing how convenient it is to do the space parts.....
The real power of somersloops is in chain production. example: turbofuel a normal production chain of 600 oil input and 400 sulfur let's you make 800 turbofuel. If you attach somersloops at the last refinery stage you get 1600! If you then also put them in for making oil to heavy oil you get 3200 which is 4x the input. Now obviously this gets expensive in terms of quantity needed but you can power shard all your buildings to save on how many you need for the factory. 600 oil would be 20 refineries making heavy oil residue which is 40 somersloops. Or you triple shard them only needing 16 somersloops. For reference originally you made 26,666MW. NOW you're making 106,666MW with the same inputs and a fair number of somersloops.
I'm going to be pretty sparing with mine, personally. The absolutely stupid burn rate of ionized fuel means I'll sloop that, plus maybe Charizard fuel. If I sloop anything else it's just temporary. Then late game I'll be building for 1 fully OC manufacturer of most things which I can choose to sloop as necessary for chains. It's kinda nice that we don't have to plan for like 10 turbo motors/min anymore
Keep in mind however that the power consumption increase from sharding and slooping all those buildings would be crazy high. I can't be bothered doing the math so no idea if its worth it or not. For me personally, sloops are too valuable to use for permanent production chain increases, will be saving them for the power gen thingies
@@obgog4687 oh it's very worth it. For example, you can sloop turbo/fuel production in a blender AND sloop rocket AND ionized fuel to get an absolutely stupid power output. Honestly the 10% augmentation is kind of a waste of sloops until you can get 30% from the alien power matrixes.
@@marshallc6215 ionized fuel is absolutely TERRIBLE for power production. I made 600/min with the base recipe (the alt is much more expensive) yet it used 7.5 quantum encoders using 1.9GW each, same for the 6 particle accelerators and 16 converters. It uses so much power, for un overclocked machines. Let alone if I were to sloop it It only produces 50GW but consumes like 25 in the process
@29:00 you can "fix" the blueprint bounding box issue by adding fences, traffic barriers, or the like as long as their bounding box abuts the edge of the blueprinter and doesn't straddle the solid line
At this point you don't actually need to make a waste operation when using a somersloop. Exiting the machine interface and re-entering the interface before you put in your ingredients is sufficient. What's important is that it doesn't start crafting on the recipe before the somersloop is in place.
I flew around for 15 mins and was able to make 130 powershards, so many slugs on the map now. Stil we will need so many for late game I guess every little helps
Late game you can automate them so don't worry about getting all the slugs. I only got about 100 power shards or so and I expect that'll last me until t9 and synthetic power shards.
I have to ask. How are you generating enough steel to keep up with the demand of everything? Especially when using mk3 everywhere? I made a new factory yesterday and managed to generate 360 steel ingot/minute which I thought was great! Until I saw the recipe for steel beams which is 60 ingots/minunte for a paultry 15 beams/minute. Do I need to have like 4 different steel factories just to keep up with demand or am I missing something?
29:05 - 10000 MW ... no, 10000 MW is only the limit how fast you can load them. that number is not the limit for unloading (use) of them 29:20 - 10000 MWh ... yes, here it is said correctly. the limit for using power is only the capacity and time each single power storage can be loaded only with max 100 MW, but can power even a gigafactory for a few seconds, eg his setup with 10000 MWh can power a gigafactory that uses 1 million MW for 10000MWh/1000000MW = 3600/100 seconds = 36 seconds :-)

Somersloops naturally harvest - 👹HARVEST👹 - yes, harvest
3:23 "we don't really need the power augmentor" 9:22 "power is struggling even more" 😜
I love that this man even blueprints box crafting. Amazing work bro
You’d probably have a stroke in my factory 😂
I use them for powers slugs, I now have more power shards than i know what to do with
This has actually helped me a lot with planning and using blueprints effectively.
actually apparently there are 106 Somersloops as of patch 1.0
33:33 - being sistematic is cool; the feeling you get by doing it is literally the name of the game.

Yeeessss! You're layout is exactly what I plan to do. I plan to do a mega sky mall down the middle of the map.

Precise work as usual!
Will you be using trains at all on this run?
So Satisfactory put the Anti-Mass-Spectrometer from Half Life into the game? Time to start another Resonance Cascade.
What does it do.... Let's touch it.. Zap!! Hahaha. 💚

The combo of “Iron Pipes” and “Encased Industrial Pipes” alternate recipes can help. It lets you make Mk 4 belts without even using steel.
How can you fly so quick and precise?
He's using cheat mode to fly so he can show us the base. He said this in the 2nd episode of this series.

Can that blueprint bug make you lose somersloop?
First!
