This was my first ride, and she showed me how to turn and stop the horse. I still remember being on a road going along some large crop fields, telling my friend to race the horses, and whipping mine with the reins. Must have been a mile or so before the horse slowed down and stopped. I had no idea a horse could run so fast, get so hot and sweated. When my girl friend caught up with me, all I could say was lets fo run then again. I vaguely remember paying an exta dollar to walk the horse being told to keep from sweating up the horse.
For an otherwise solid western like The Searchers, I did not care for the song that opens it. Here it is brief but Filiana is right, very common in westerns at that time.
What's with 40:49? Every time I get there viewing this movie it starts doing circles (with VPN without VPN) it is maddening. Usually, it stops the circles when I shut down my VPN protection. Not this time. It is sad as I was enjoying this film a lot. I am reminded why I do not watch very many of the great movies on youtube
