Raz man, everyone knows how talented you are and can see how far you've taken this hobby. And we all love and respect what you do. We learn so much and enjoy your work so much. Don't dwell on trying to find a reason for your bad luck. There is no rhyme or reason to the way life unfolds - it is what it is, as they say. Forgive me for preaching but hate to see a dude suffer. You have so much empirical data and evidence to in support of your success. So don't engage with those negative thoughts and let them go. Keep on truckin' brother.

For drag, I would adjust the throttle curve a bit. Wheel spin = acceleration/speed loss. A little less power off the start to give the tires a chance to hook up, then ramp it up quickly. Also they make sticky compound for the tires. If you are allowed to use it.

Raz you are an awesome guy!, I feel your frustration I’ve had weeks where I was questioning leaving the hobby. I got into speed running when I got sober 6months ago and just broke into 150’s yesterday after lots of crashes ..my first infraction gt completely destroyed and on my second v2 limitless, countless hours and more money than I’d like to admit on lipos chassis ect but YOUR videos are why I keep pushing! I love making a clean pass and getting a pb now because of all the crashes, makes it that much sweeter! Great video I hope to see your video from Rosa because I know you’ll get some new lipos and be out of the funk by then, it will be your time! God bless you Raz! You are the real speed run🐐 220,s+ are coming!

Raz, sometimes when a person is so passionate and excited about something, they can tend to develop a kind of "tunnel vision" that is like looking through a Micro-Scope and focusing so hard on something, that you're not "seeing" what you once were, at the beginning stages.
Taking a break from speed running for a short term and allowing your thought process/critical thinking skills to work on something completely outside the norm, can restore/refresh the ability to analyze and invent and bring a new found ingenuity to the entire process.
I think that its possible that this is what has happened to you my friend! It may be a simple case of "Trying to Hard"... And taking a break, to return later after relaxing and resting is usually the best medicine for that. You're an intelligent and very capable man that is full of passion for the things in life that you love! But it appears that you have forgotten about "RAZ" and not been taking care of HIS needs that likely put you in this bit of a "spot" you find yourself in!
I learned this many decades ago from a very important Mentor in my life and at those times, when I've found myself feeling as you now are, I force myself to follow the advice that I've passed on to you! It's like a "Miracle" and it has never failed to restore...

I don’t really get invested in many vloggers and their journey but I have to say, I love your energy Raz and I can feel your heartache when a run turns catastrophic.
I like what you said about it not being your time to shine but in a way you still are. Looking at the other people putting up 200+mph passes, I can’t help but think of the saying “We stood on the shoulders of giants”. I don’t think this hobby would be anywhere near what it is without you and it’s just a matter of time that you’ll show us something new.
Looking forward to more of the drag runs! Drag racing is a sport that I really hold close to my heart since childhood. I’ve just recently got back into RC and my next build is a drag car so I’m thrilled to see what you come up with.

That hop you're getting when you launch is because it's getting traction and the weights transferring to the back the second brakes traction. It all wants to jump forward and the whole thing hops up. I'd recommend the perfect pass with a little bit of delay so you can get the power out smoothly. Like the Street outlaw guys do they build a 4000 horsepower engine? Turn it down so it launches at 600 horsepower by half track. It's got all 4,000😊

Hey man, take notes from other people, and just think about air flow and aero dynamics. Too much drag will kill results, too much downforce will kill results, you have to find a balance. Look at the fastest car, what’s one thing that car doesn’t have that yours does.. you see that horizontal rear spoiler? Too much downforce is pushing the rear down and lifting the front. It has no choice but to lift off similar like an airplane. The rear is getting too much downforce, compressing springs, lifting the front. Take that spoiler off and you won’t lift off the ground. Look at the legend Nic Case’s car too, he had no spoiler and just a single vertical wing.

  • @teomato1406

Can i ask why are all using 4x4 traction on a speed car and not using only rear traction? Is for brake question or stability? I don't know nothing about all this cool world, but i really enjoy watching your video, and i have this question from a lot of time. GL for the next car btw

  • @philvale5724

Hi 👋, you have problems with the car flipping, is it possible to make a wing across the front to give you more downforce, it might be worth studying F1 cars , or even building something along the lines of the Land Speed Record vehicles, Thrust 2 ,

I wonder, irl most serious drag racing cars have a solid rear axle, to help with anti squat, maybe an overvolted UDR is the best drag car :), no but for real, for a drag car you want the suspesion to rise under power not squat, that's where you'll be able to make a few hunderds of a second

Hey Raz I concur with others here saying you need the front to be allowed to raise up on the hit to allow the weight to transfer to the rear and then have it slowly return as you go down the strip. You could see in the slo mo the stiffness of it caused the car to unload the tyres as soon as the transfer of weight happened and the energy couldn't be absorbed which would normally keep those rear tyres planted.. The front needs lots of droop allowed and travel/extension to allow that transfer.. Looking forward to watching you progress mate..

For drag you got it going pretty straight which is 80% of the battle. Maybe add a wheelie bar in back to minimize the jumpy rear. I'd leave the car as is and just keep gearing up until you get the times you want. Once you got it straight you've won...that seems to be the hardest part.

I am wondering if there is reason those guys you mention use aero bodies and only vertical stabilizators. The horizontal part of the batwing may be adding significant drag at those speeds. Also the new record car seems to have a thinner wheel profile, and a longer steeper sloping nose for downforce. Those two cars also cover up all their wheels, with the body. I am sure Raz knows and sees this, I am just wondering why he doesn’t pick up on these tricks. Also they use Cordobas not Castles. He could try to build a different car in those ways and see what happens. I curious tho why Raz doesn’t do that.

RAZ you have got to look at your life this way. Many of your RC builds may have bit the dust into a myriad pieces into the RC graveyard never to be seen again, but you can take comfort in the fact, that your nearest and dearest RC deaths, you yourself are still very well alive, and you can take comfort in knowing that you yourself have not been claimed by the victim of death reality of the RC graveyard, never to be seen again . We salute your RC soldiers who gave their RC lives up in death on the battlefield, in the quest to be the king of speed, but you yourself live to fight another day, to be able to tell the tale, in your quest to be the RC hall of fame to be the king of speed 🤔 😁 . The 3 major causes in catastrophic crashes in very high speed RC runs are, 1, a parts failure, 2, foam tyre disintegration, and lastly 3, no ground effect downforce to keep the car firmly planted on the ground to stop the car taking off like a plane when air gets under the chassis and causes it to take off like a plane . Those forces of combined very high power with high speed stress causes an obscene amount of uncertainty with any very powerful electric RC car. But trying to keep an RC car planted firmly on the ground is a science in itself, so that it doesn't take off like a plane. That takes some serious engineering skills, and downforce knowledge, to overcome serious limitations of RC cars of high power at high speeds .

Because it is 4 wheel drive it looks like the hump at the start is torque onset through the front and rear drive mesh, specifically the load onset of each drive gear mesh, is there drive trains with a higher count tooth mesh? If it's not there then it's something with the digital signal to the motors, or the motors response time.....just a guess, no need to flame me.....

raz just show up at rossa help kevin out, have a wonder round chat with all the guys, bring some parts to show off ect, maybe do a little speedrun sos video helping some guys out? you don't need to run 200mph+ just pick a class and have a crack at one class the rlaarlo would be a good car to bring. I'm bringing 1/7 openwheel and i might bring an off road car to speedrun with over the weekend and developing it over the 3 days. Building a drag car vs speed running i think this is the key to breaking your plateau. look at length of james's 219/david's 219 then vincents 201 i feel there's a lot to be gained 0-150mph i feel especially in a dual setup where you're splitting the load? i could be wrong but i've not seen any logs. There could also be a rossa night out.....so food some beers some shit talked a naked hot tub........

  • @geraldvalverde
    @geraldvalverde Год назад +1

Love to watch your videos. I know that things will pick up from now on.
In my opinion, if you want to break the 220 barrier, you'll need to do something radical. I haven't seen builds with custom molded carbon fiber chassis and shells, it might give you the edge you need. For example, making a monocoque tub-type chassis like a McLaren, more rigidity, and less weight because you can eliminate some supports.
You can maybe implement an active aero package, front lip, and spoiler. When it senses elevation, it can lower the front and raise the back to stabilize the car. A couple of servos and 3d designed parts can help a lot, I think. The main benefit is having real-time control over the down forces.
The other thing it occurs to me is that perhaps a different suspension and / or wheel setup is necessary. Of course you always thrive to use the best components available, but perhaps you'll need to develop something else entirely, like larger carbon fiber wheels, even asymmetrical front to rear.
I see that everyone is reaching the limit there. Any leap forward will be on those fronts.
    Best wishes!

Raz you may not be the fastest yet, but your definitely the one that made tons of research and you share and sell. Most of operators out there hit the speed they are now mostly using ur products and guides.
Speed runs are always different due to the conditions one needs to run. Its not all running the same runway and weather.
U may be at 204s in your place but in the UK u might be faster or even slower at different location.
As such dont stop. Keep on moving. Just do what u do. Research Proof share and sell.
Its good ur into drag too now. You are widening your scope and research.
You know, Albert Einstein does not achieve what we do now. But his ideas and research helped many achieve what we achieved now.. So? Why stop Raz, u are like Einstein in the RC world.
And now that your on the 1/10 ,Maybe you could also help the smaller scale RC community which are not privileged to have long runways benefits from your research to produce max speed at limited length or savage road conditions.

Consistency is such a problem it’s just annoying to say the least 🎉 and if a company puts things out and says hey we have all restocked everything so u guys will never be with out lol less this 3 days out again what’s up can’t be finances because product is selling great why aren’t we restocking it so this only leads us to believe finances are being put elsewhere maybe chassis ? And that’s not the point the point is we were told waiting months and months and months finally you announce we have three times the amount of everything so you guys will never be without again less than three days sold out really not to mention like several million times people use COVID-19 of why things aren’t back to normal oh and can’t forget the suppliers. The suppliers are backed up or it’s the people that’s making it they can only do so many. 🎉

Hey Raz, Drag cars do crash, alot. You go through the same process dialing in the car as you guys. No gyros allowed in drag racing, do you guys use gyros for these speed runs 200mph+?

The drag racing is always a sure fun way to deal with the down side of speedruning and I do know you’ll fight through this ruff spot just as you did in the 160s! These v3 shafts I hold in my hand are epic along with this PP carbon fiber chassis awaiting to be built, but I’m begging you😂 PLEASE DO NOT STOP PRODUCTION OF THE v2 carbon shafts!
Keep fighting the good fight! Also once again, thank you! Great video, Great products, and always Great runs!👊

Honestly Raz, I think your question of 'why am I so into this after just one day?' is your clue to the whole mental situation you have going on. You're cooked on speed running, you've got the record in you imo but your brain just isn't invested. Maybe just take a break, feed that drag itch and wait for your battery stocks to build up and get through the Israeli post. Then in 4-8 weeks come back with fresh eyes, piles of batteries and just go at it with a new focus

you should go to the Race bud, you belong there, it dont matter if your the fastest or not at least be there to support your knuckle head friend Kevin you guys had lot fun last year, oh and seems the long chassie's are doing the job, maybe you should try a stretched chassie with more weight up front, the ''Dart'' effect seems to make since,

Hey bud. My full support would be…. Go back to the star of all your builds and stick with your gut. One build for top speed P.P. You just thrown in between the different builds. Like giving your time to all the kids and only one is the 💫. Find that star and stay.

Love your videos and i am on a long list of fans who cant wait for the next record and the go to channel for everything fast . You will get alot of different opinions on this subject but you have the wrong car for the job , its like you are taking a formula one car to the drag strip with speed run tires and four wheel drive . Too much power not enough traction , the car is spinning the tires off half way down the track . Build a drag specific car , would love to see it considering your skills , and do this right although i do understand thats not the point of all this . Out of curiosity prep the tires and see what happens ..

Not to be an idiot but man looks like you just need aero improvements for front downforce at 204 mph. Just like other famous race cars they work the best until they decide to turn the floor into a wing and try to do a barrel roll as a car

It was cool to see you enjoying drag. Maybe take a lil break on speed runs to recharge your batteries and mess around with no prep drag. The drag scene could use some perfect pass parts 😜

Raz, another trick for drag racing get some tire conditioner spin the tires in it get them sticky, also move your batteries back you want rear-biased it's the opposite of top speed runs you want the weight on those rear tires.

I think with tire prep you will be in the 1.90 because you did spin but you tracked straight but the right prep you will get rid of that

Would it be possible to fit a gyro fired parachute set so when the car hit's a pre set angle the chute will deploy arresting some of the speed as it's not the takeoff but the landing that hurts. It might help?
