I would agree, I bought one directly from Enya and then found I had to lower my saddle for a better action. Now knowing better I would buy from a dealer that can do a setup even for a fee worth doing!
Perfectly demonstrated reason why to buy from a specialist store. You must be one of the first stores to demonstrate and get both types in store. Sure they won’t be in long. Thanks for the demo.
It's a little bit louder. It's not negligible but neither is it effective for anything other than a bit of a boost. The problem with volume is video settings - your hear that amount it was louder - but can't really have idea of how loud it was to start with. Acoustically these are just below the average uke in volume. With the volume alone, they're just above the average uke in volume. I guess nobody does that as for me, the principle reason to make it louder is to hear the effects above the acoustic volume.
I just got mine and I don't love it. The concert size is small, the black fret board is hard to see anything on. I bought it because of all the glowing reviews I have been reading. It will never replace my Oscar Schmidt concert size.
@lissymoz959 I do and it's not extra - that's what the video is for, to let people know that. I don't like doing it as the saddles are rock hard, but it gives me a workout, sanding them down!
@@yvesb3426 Oh, I see! Yes, not an issue really with the Enya, but it only goes to half the volume of the Soundwave. If you have the soundwave on half volume you don't get feedback either - so it's almost like the Soundwave will go louder than it needs to. If that makes any sense!
Hi Jacob - yes. It's free shipping over £400 or if beneath that, you need to add £25 shipping to your order here worldofukes.co.uk/merchandise/post-to-rest-of-the-world
@@WorldofUkes It's not that bad, but playing is louder than narration. Add to that the commercials blast your viewer when audio levels are set too low overall. Appreciate the content. Just a suggestion to improve the viewers experience.
@@stoneyrunva Yes, I know what you mean. I am a little cautious with levels as I'd hate to have the instruments 'topping out' and causing distortion. I've switched commercials off on my channel but yes, I understand if you're going from video to video, others won't be the same.
Meh… I don’t like carbon fiber, don’t like the sound, the effects are limited and cheesy. Any instrument that expensive should come set up properly. Seems like over priced plastic gimmickry to me.
@kevinquigley4337 Yes it should. Nothing does though. Virtually nothing. So it has that in common with everything else. Plenty of far more expensive ukes are poorly set up. The point is that I will do it where many don't. The effects are limited, of course. It's a small unit on an instrument that costs, all together, less than many single effects pedals. I use pedals, lots of them... of course they're better than these. But more expensive too. For some people, that would be enough, a little bit of reverb or delay to mess about with. Have a bit of fun with. Fine not to like the sound. But I think it has its place and you've been a bit harsh.

Thanks Mike :)
Just about to order mine! Thank you for taking the time to set it up properly and fix the action etc. 👍🤟
Wow !!!!!

Why does no one try out volume alone ? they always demo it with effects .. is volume that negligible ?

There certainly are a lot of glowing reviews. Not all of them genuine I suspect.
Great vid! Any word on when you might restock the electros?
Thank you - and hopefully before the end of November!
Do you lower it and check for buzz etc before selling or is that extra and if extra, how much please?

The acoustic plus version doesn't seem to larsen like the flight ukes with soundwave option, does it?
I'm not sure out 'larsen' here, do you mean 'louden' or make louder? The Acousticplus certainly doesn't have the volume of the soundwave though, no.
Hah, sorry, I meant feedback effect, we call it larsen effect in french, I got that a lot when I tried flight ukes with soundwave.

If you're going to demo a musical instrument please mic the presenter.
There's an off camera mic - I don't think the levels are particularly wrong between speaking and playing.
