I wanted to thank you for creating these videos. My wife and I are in our mid forties and are moving to Wien next spring. She has been promoted to a global position within the European corporation she works for. I like the fact that your videos are very "brass tacks". In other words, you don't sugar coat the realities of living in Wien. Your explanations of the actual costs and time investments are very helpful. We thought we would buy a house in Vienna, but now we realize a duplex or an apartment is more the reality. We will eventually buy a house outside of the city, as we explore the rest of the country. There is very little information available about the rural towns and lifestyle outside of the capital. I wonder if you two have an opinion or experience with that?

Thank you very much for your honest feedback 🙏Both of us love the rural areas of Austria - especially the Alps region. Really beautiful and well-connected. The rural areas of Austria provide you everything you need to live a high-quality life. You have access to roads, water, electricity, high-speed internet, heating and of course, its beautiful nature and organic products.
We love it as a vacation destination, but our current lifestyle wouldn't allow us to live in such areas (yet).

Like many other European cities, Vienna also has a rich culinary culture! So I’m pretty sure there is some demand for skilled workers in that area.

@@KhyatiPuria I've heard that culinary workers are in demand in Austria. I just wanted to hear something from someone who is in Vienna. Thank you for your response, it means a lot.

Could non German speaking immigrants find jobs in English while learning German that is not just related to tech?

I don't think there is a general rule or response to this question. It really depends on the sector and the company culture itself. I have even seen government positions, where some of the employees didn't speak any german, but because their supervisor was English-speaking and they didn't have any customer contact, it was fine.
