I now really want a Muse. But I don't see myself getting rid of my One for a Muse. So I will live through yall. OB-6 is still next on my list. Nice video!
@@NGC0Music Very clever response 😀! The Muse is wonderful. Seriously though, I sat in from of it recently and really was impressed. It's got the famous Moog sound with more. Effects are lovely!
@@TheCbone1979 I would love to try the UB and compare with the OB-6, and from a sound design/user interface perspective as well. Maybe I’ll find one in a shop someday
IT's an awesome synth :) I tried to replicate some of my favorite presets from the prophet 6, but it just has a different basic sound. Which is why we buy different synths, right? It really has it's own thing going on. IT's very much a VCO synth.. as soon as you use more than 1 osc, things start to sound big right away. It's a great addition to my setup :) Love what you're doing here too! Some great sounds here! Love patch 5.. so dreamy!
The P6 is indeed very different in many ways. The Muse sounds huge with very little effort and I love it. Have you tried making simple bass patches on this thing? It’s like having a minimoog in there as well, thanks for watching!
@@NGC0Music yeah it's pretty much a bass monster.. lol. It's very easy to get those mini style basses going on this thing. In fact Ive started working on a sortof Minneapolis style track with a nice mini bass. It'll feature Muse sounds exclusively (bar the drums), just to see how far it can take me.
@@tchip-bc1gp I have the P6 too, and it's also a nice synth. But there are some things the Muse can do the P6 can't begin to dream of :). For instance: the Muse can sound BIG in a way that the P6 just can't. That's not even taking into account all the extra synthesis features, such as extra LFO's, more FM capability.. ah well the list is endless. I'm still also keeping the P6 though, as well as the Rev 2. They all sound different, and they all provide their own palette of colours for you to use in your music. It's not a competition where one synth has to rule them all (though you could come a long way with just the Muse ;) ).

I picked up the Muse on Last Tuesday and returned it Wednesday!! It sounds better than Moog One to me which o also sold but the warmth is gone! The prophet-10 is the warmest and most buttery sound of any poly on market may not be feature packed but the tone kills all! I’m staying prophet and Voyager :)
@@muzicmanc945 if you already have a P10 and a Voyager, the only reason you would need the Muse, would be for the extra features, because the P10 sounds beautiful already, different, but equally breathtaking on the right patches
I don‘t understand why people claim a Prophet would sound “better“. I have all Prophets currently on the market; they sound gorgeous but *different* . The Muse basically sounds like a polyphonic Voyager, i.e. like a Moog. But it can step into CS-80 and JX-8P territory as well.
@@edenhunter9904 thanks for watching. Drums were mainly for me (to have a sense of rhythm and context while playing), I noticed I can be more creative and play “better” that way
It sounds good, not "weird" matriarch is also nice but sounds way too flat. What you describe as weird, is what makes it big sounding and unique. Truly a "wauw" moment, type of synth
@@NGC0Music We read a lot of contradictory things about Muse, will it erase the Summit?....will it turn off the voices of the Prophets?...for the sound, it seems first of all to let the synth "warm up" for 15 to 30 minutes, I think that a cold machine....sounds cold imo....moreover, have the oscillators and knobs been calibrated??? otherwise, it's like playing a Custom Shop Strat or a Gibson Murphy guitars without being tuned, you can imagine the result....anyway it's incredibly difficult to judge and choose a new instrument simply by watching, listening to videos on YT....I can't decide for a next purchase between the Muse or the Polybrute 6 (12), I already have a Matriarch, what do you think?
@@chris-rich01100 if you already have the Matriarch, and you don’t have any other poly synth, I would definitely go with the Polybrute12. I don’t recommend the 6 because the keybed is shit (probably the worst keys I’ve seen on a keyboard of that price range). The keys on the 12 are great though.
They are better known for their mono synths for sure, but all of the very few poly synths they have ever made are classics, the biggest problem was the price, which they fixed now with the Muse. 😁
@@NGC0Music I would like to give it a year to see what people can cook up with them. The factory presets sound very uninspiring to me. Hopefully it has that good Moog low end. Can’t beat that bass!
@@daguy7575 It's one of the best analog poly's out there. But don't expect an instant gratification VST, you kindof have to carve out your own sounds.
