As someone who has spent a lot of time in the library reading biographies and autobiographies (at least 200 of them), this is nothing new. I originally read the books to find a way in because I wanted to join that family of actors, producers, directors and writers. What I found was that those in power got there because they were bullied as children. They got the power and sought "revenge" by hurting others. Most who get into the entertainment industry came from broken homes and don't have any sense of reality. After learning all of this, I decided NOT to pursue a career in Hollywood. It's a morally bankrupt profession. When this story broke, I wasn't surprised. When the Left became morally outraged, my first thoughts were "What took you so long? Have you been blind all of this time? Don't you people read at libraries? Where was your moral righteous indignation when you bought the films, and funded that lifestyle?" Liberalism in it's original form wanted to break free of rules and regulations of social norms and, in the process, relinquish the protections that came with them. The "casting couch" has been around since the 1920s that involved many Hollywood moguls, including Louie B. Mayer, Joseph Kennedy and Daryll F. Zanuck, just to name a few. So for people, especially in show business, to act surprise that this sort of thing goes on is absolutely ludicrous. He asked for sexual favours ,as do most film producers,as far as I am concerned it was entirely consensual.

If people would do their research, Harvey Weinstein is not the first powerful person in Hollywood to do what he did. The "casting couch" has been around since the 1920s that involved many Hollywood moguls, including Louie B. Mayer, Joseph Kennedy and Daryll F. Zanuck, just to name a few. So for people, especially in show business, to act surprise that this sort of thing goes on is absolutely ludicrous. And I say "goes on" because I wouldn't be a bit surprise if other powerful producers and directors in Hollywood are guilty of the same acts but are now ducking and running for cover because they don't want their dirt to be exposed such as James Tobak, Ben Affleck or Quentin Tarantino.
