I’m 4 years younger than Mike, and have been a fight fan since the early ‘80’s. But, didn’t really pay any mind to the Heavyweight division other than Larry Holmes. Until I saw Tyson. I’m 4 years younger than Mike, and have been a fight fan since the early ‘80’s. But, didn’t really pay any mind to the Heavyweight division other than Larry Holmes. Until I saw Tyson. It was unlike anything I’d ever witnessed anywhere in the sport. In his mid-to-late ‘80’s heyday, his fights were typically blink-and-you’ll-miss-it-call-your-cousin-on-the-phone-and-ask-him-did-you-see-this-fuckin’-guy-Mike-Tyson-tonight events. The stuff of legend. AS it happened.
One person that gave him a hell of a battle was Donovan "Razor" Ruddock. Go watch the RUclips video of them just hurling bombs for 12 rounds. Tyson stated afterwards that Ruddock's punches were like mule kicks.
Tyson reached what few humans ever have reached. The feeling of being THE ONE (co-signed by the world). Only a handful of people have ever seen that mountain top. Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Mike Tyson, maybe Elvis.... and a few historical figures.
It's kind of quaint that you think pop culture icons from the last 50 years in the USA (LOL) will be on any level with historical figures. They won't make the top 1000.
@@BobJones-ud4rt from the last 50 years???.....you must be blind, deaf, dumb and stupid!!!
@@BobJones-ud4rt lol. The influence and Love of michael jackson exceeds anyone from the past 2000 years. Not even Ghandi had the influence Michael Jackson had. Michael Jackson is loved and listened to in pretty much every country that has access to music. The historical figures that have had this world wide influence is very very very few. Jesus is one of the only ones that come to mind.
Inventions dont really count because more often then not. Those were one and done inventions and the inventor never reaches those heights again.
MJ coasted those heights for 20+ years.
@@TallicaMan1986 Dude you're tripping comparing Micheal Jackson to Jesus....wait another 20 years and you'll be SHOCKED by how many people have NEVER heard of him. In my life time I think 2pac Shakur is by far the greatest modern day artist and already a lot of kids don't have a clue about him. It's true at MJs hight no one could match his popularity but for you to really compare a possible child molester to Jesus Christ....I don't know I think you may need a reality check!!!!
@@scottgollahon3681 the fact you think he is a child molester tells me a lot about your research.
And Tupac? Are you kidding? His pen game was weak compared to Lady of Rage. Nobody heard of him because he tarnished whatever he had to say with that gangster shit.
That’s a Jamie Foxx joke he said on his special “I might need security “. Give Jamie his credit Mike Tyson is like a Pitt bull without a leash - Jamie Foxx
Came here to say this. “Mike Tyson is a pit bull with no leash and nobody knows who the owner is.” Legendary standup by Foxx
Thank you. I didnt want to go all "Sista Soulja". But yes. Jamie Fox said it first. But I am not quite sure if that was joke theft.
fodough I could probably just go look it up, but who are Iron Mike’s parents?
For real Sam Thank you. was just going to say the same thing.
Exactly Bro, I’m glad someone said it
Tyson is a real life Super Hero. I still feel like a kid when I see Tyson in video clips. A true 🐐
Joe Rogan should´ve asked Mike Tyson about the time where he really wanted to pay the zoo to get in the cage and fight a gorilla... crazy shit...
A silverback gorilla would rip him apart
@@austyncollins9400 yeah, that would have been a very sudden and strange career end.
The guerilla would have fucked him up but what's scary is...he most likely was dead ass serious
@@austyncollins9400 But it would be interesting to see how the fight develops thoe, haha.
That's not a fight I would like to see
The most incredible force of nature the boxing world has ever seen.some may have punched harder, some may have beat better opponents but NO ONE exploded onto the scene like Mike.no one.
5:13 Kevin's face!! 😭😭🤣🤣🤣 Dead
Classic look on Kevin's face 5:13. It's like "Tyson would eat me! "😂
Tyson scares the shit outta lions
You can take the dog out of the fight but can't take the fight out of the dog. Mike Tyson is and will always be my favorite boxer. Killed it in his 50s
Kevin's face here after seeing tyson hit the pads is priceless 5:11
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He probably started working out due to the Coronavirus quarantine, And Then There Goes his ego. This is exciting! Proud of you Mike!
He also had stem cell treatment which he said made him feel better than ever....
The fury that Joe described is spot on. No one else on earth can throw a punch like Tyson

Almost spit my coffee out when Kevin Hart said "I respect the trainer, I respect the trainer for standing in the way of that sh*t". I thought he was meaning from an art perspective, but no, it's Kev Hart I should have known what he was meaning because I share the same sentiments". I just might stand in the middle, that way I can understand this man that much more and what that type of power is like. I wish Mike and Kev and that trainers hands and body all the best.
A threat from Iron Mike is enough to release the bowels of even the most constipated
Lmfaoo
BAHAHAHA Holy shit that is the funniest sophisticated line I’ve seen in a min. Thanks for the laughs
This is good!
Feeling blessed. In my life I’ve gotten to watch (on tv) mike Tyson, mike Jordan, and Leo messi. Guys who just function on the next level changing their sports forever
5:13 Kevin looking like a witness to a gruesome murder LoL
I'm surprised Mike is fighting again. Sounded like he was completely done with it on the podcast

The amount of respect Tyson has from EVERYONE is phenomenal!!! I mean he’s a damn LEGEND!!!!
Damn right
You watch people openly beef with Floyd but you know your scary when no one is saying anything
@Lord Cognus with his brittle hands? Doesn't he usually win by points?
I'd love to see Floyd fight Tyson, now. I don't think Floyd would do so well.
I like Floyd’s style his talk everything but mike is just intimidating
@@steveawesome9538 what? Tyson vs Floyd now? Tyson is and was literally 50+ % bigger than him. They would never fight now or then. And comparing two boxers who are 100+ pounds apart is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of GTFO
@@krylesangerbeaver Tyson said something similar. He said he would destroy Mayweather in a streetfight, no question about it. But in pointboxing, Mayweather might out-point him because he is such a technician.

That is raw, contained rage, Joe...
i wish patrice o'neal was still around to goof on rich & successful kevin.
That would be great. These two really shine each other's ass in this interview. Mostly in the beginning.
It would be fucking hilarious. Both of them shitting on each other like the old days
President Santana they were joking but serious. It wasn’t on no beef shit, people get very busy, numbers change. The Hollywood hustle is ridiculous
GRAZi. Mike does look bad though.
Jamie Foxx said it the best in his stand up “I might need Security “ one of the best stand ups. Nobody ever gives it its props.
TheOC2334 I‘m promoting this for 10 years minimum around my friends. Never felt that someone actually felt it as much as I did. One of the Best Stand Up shows ever and for me maybe even the best. Remember the Encore where he is on the piano? God this is so genius. Perfect voice combined with humor. I love the man.
Im tellin yall Mike Tyson is Kratos in real life.
He went from young and angry to old and wise BUT HE STILL GOT IT💯

I’m surprised the convo didn’t switch up with joe saying,”I’d rather fight a lion than Mike Tyson.”

Tyson just wants the pure peace he felt in the ring. When he was in the zone he was in his element. He wants that back. Many athletes want that and if they feel confident or foolish enough they'll go for it again
I vividly recall Mike Tyson back in 1985 and plowing through people at age 18 like a hot knife through butter. If you haven’t watched RUclips videos of Tyson’s matches. Incredible!

Tyson went back to basics, including part of his roots in 🇯🇲, rebuilding himself from the ground up. Wish I could be in that form and shape at 50.
Talk about a scary Tyson, when the old guy was interviewing him and Mikes in pain, and hes quiet for a few seconds, then a tear falls down his cheeks and he looks at the journalist and almost whispers "You need to go now. You understand".
Very true
