In my opinion, apart from Royal Oak Jumbo, none of the AP watches are worth the hype. One has to spend insane amount of money to reach Royal Oak.....not worth it. The AD dance and drama are insane. As a watch lover and collector. I tried a two times to register my interest for a Royal Oak, with an AP boutique and respectfully agreed to wait no matter how long does it take, but the answer always has been very clear from the sales associates that I will have to buy few non popular AP models in order to get a Royal Oak. Complete BS!

I bought the blue version because I simply like it, I wear it quite often too. Even though I have a royal oak, an overseas and Patek, Lange, Rolexes... etc.

I tried the 3 lines of AP Watches, the code, the Royal Oak offshore and the classic Royal Oak and guess what : my favorite was the code, than the Offshore and at last the Royal Oak 😊 congrats for this piece
So you have to buy two below average watches from AP to reach the royal oak at Factory Price. Then you better get a damn good one

Can't ever go wrong with ZUMA. My favorite restaurant in Las Vegas. Congrats on your new Code 11.59! I recently purchased the green version, at first I wasn't a fan from videos / photos. But in person, it's truly a stealth watch. People don't realize the strap is actually kevlar rubber strap, with the inside being a soft leather. Enjoy it in great health my friend.
Honestly, I rather to go the resale market to get an AP Royal Oak and pay the premium than to have the AD force me to buy a code1159. I wonder how long AP will continue to do this type of sales tactic.
Code basically premium paid for future Royal Oak purchases (hopefully). Same with Calatrava for PP and Patrimony for VC.

The 11:59 is a really good watch. It wasn’t until I saw one in person and got to handle it at AP in New York that I really liked it. Pictures and video don’t convey how awesome this watch actually is. I’d be very happy to own one

All it takes is following up with your SA regularly and a little patience. I waited little over a year for a RO.
You are losing 40% out the door. The Code has improved since first launch but you can't make Betty Fugly a Marilyn Monroe even if you use the top Korean plastic surgeons. Just buy the coveted APs in grey and don't bother playing the AD game. Makes sense for PP where there is an extensive catalogue but not AP.

I don't know why people hate 11.59. AP made a genuine effort to introduce something new and, in my opinion, they successfully integrated brand's DNA into the design of the case.
Agreed, it's nice to see them step out of the Royal Oak, but still subtlety kept a part of it's design in the case of the 11.59. They've definitely been improving the line since the initial release. The first few looked a little off with the date at 4:30 and had too much empty space, but the recent ones have a much better design imo. I think the next step would be to improve on the strap or design a bracelet for it. The current ones look a little cheap.

I think that watch looks better than the trendy royal joke. I don’t recommend taking video with the cars steering wheel emblem visible, it makes you look like low class new money trying to show off. A little too materialistic.
