I have a 2017 ram 1500. Just installed a new hemi engine. I was always told that I need a bigger truck 2500 or bigger. Now you got me thinking about small hotshot with a 20 ft trailer. Lol
In my humble opinion, 40% is too much if you're considering to pay your driver with a W2. At the highest end, you can do 33%. Most W2 employees earn 28 - 30%. The reason for this is your contribution to the Payroll Tax and whatever you're going to incur for Workers Compensation insurance. But again, I'm basing my numbers off drivers who drive 18-wheelers, where your cost per mile for each driver is much higher when it comes to fuel and maintenance. And be careful whom you hire. The most important attribute is character. I've had one driver clean my clock with the TWC and another driver whom I think purposively sabotaged my equipment to get off work or to abstain from doing loads he didn't want to run. (I.e., He would purposively break my equipment, so that I couldn't send him out with equipment that would fail a DOT inspection.)
40% so your gonna pay for the truck the insurance your EQ and pay someone 40% 🤣🤣🤣 I don’t think you know business to well 40% is someone who went in business with you and out half on everything but you booking the loads so you get 10% more doing extra work 40% our profit margins are going to be pathetic.
I know this was 6 months ago and things may be different but when you say 10 loads on the board are you speaking of only loads that fit your criteria such as size and direction you want? Thanks for info. I am a East Texan myself.
You mentioned about people emailing you! I have watched every video you put up since you first got your Box Truck. I have wanted to contact you many times and I must have missed your email. I noticed you don’t haul any cars.

Glad to see you are doing good enough to hire a second driver during the slowest time of the year! You must be doing something right! 😉
Hey, I have 19 ft boxtruck with a liftgate. However, it's been really hard for me to find loads. My question: Do you have a dispatcher you work with?
Any changes ur side I have 17ft box truck and this business is booming you have to such with partial loads as criteria on the load board
You're making it happen while everyone else is complaining about rates. Goes to show it's out there for those who want it bad enough

I agree but this will be a 1099 most likely.
