Game designing for beginners only $40 one time only fee
Project Spark is a game designer on xbox back in 2014. Issue is the massive time sink - people wanna play games not make them at then end of the day which is why Project Spark only lasted a year. Mostly all ive seen from Dreams are images and Demos not many complete games.

The quality difference is huge and always will be.
@@MrTyst I put 80h hours into a game on Ptoject Spark - 4 player co op RPG. But that was all for just 30m of play.
Dreams is a nice idea as was Project Spark. But 6months it will be forgotten once everyone has made their "pictures" and game demos.
@@Entertainment-Gaming-Grandad you obviously havent heard of LBP... project spark was mxts... whoever made spark didnt have the vision of LBP and dreams... dreams is exactly LBP but even better... project spark wasnt even half the game LBP was lol.... guess how long LBP lasted it got at least 5 different titles 3 sequels on the ps3 gave sony a memorable mascot and was an awesome game on handhelds.... dreams took an entire PS4 gen to come to fruition and is expected to be even grander on PS5 as well as PSVR support... spark was half baked by comparison, not surprised it lasted just a year especially locking certain items and features
@@MrTyst noone is forcing you to play dreams... its for creative people... people who used to play music generators on the ps1 etc.... like no one forced people to play LBP, LBP was huge, lead to the evolution which is dreams which is now critically acclaimed by reviewers and users alike would not be surprised if LBP got a goty award, dreams will lead onto something else.... its like saying im not playing with lego because i have to spend 15 minutes building the thing and reading the instruction manual.... yet lego is massive! you'd be surprised what can be achieved... LBP has proven that there are smarter people out there that arent in game development... dreams is a whole ton easier and better.... quality is like youtube... you get shit videos and you get good videos, depends how much effort and time you put in.... games made by professionals arent always better.... just ask bethesda... your painting dreams with a broad brush and writing it off because you have no interest in it... but you would play it if say someone made a 1 to 1 clone of say cod or fortnite.... then that isnt really the point of, you would go straight to cod and fortnite for those experiences.... dreams is a creatives dream lol or sandbox you experiment with a rough idea and once youve discovered how easy it is you can spend time perfecting idea..... dreams isnt for everyone like LBP isnt for everyone.... i see it as an innovative magical piece of software that can be as powerful as you want it to be... and some devs have created this thing and thought about everything... you want it to be about pictures... sure ok... you want it to be a musical slide show thats fine as well, you want it to be a movie.. sure... anything is possible.... but anyway your comparing AAA studios which is not the point of Dreams... Dreams is capable of AAA quality if you have the time and effort... people have shown that you can make 1 to 1 recreations of PT for example..... you can collaborate just like a real AAA studio and also like a AAA studio the game will take time and planning... Dreams isnt a shortcut to anything its not going to be able to churn out a AAA game in a day for example... its not the point... you get a community coming together making various different aspects where you can pick and choose the bits you want.... lol yup sorry for wall of text wasnt going to got carried away... Dreams will massive if sony market it right
This game truly is an artists "den/guild" full of collaboration, inspiration and imaginative ideas, can't wait to buy it

I found out about this game like almoat a month ago and I'm excited! I want to create historical buildings or something like that.
I thought the first few clips were cool, then it hits 40secs and you see that open world space. Mind Blowing. Such amazing talent on show from everyone.
It wont be long before people start recreating whole games inside dreams, my bet is that someone is already making the classic doom inside it haha

I mean its already being confirmed that the ps5 will have backwards compatibility with ps4 games so you can play dreams on the ps5 later on.

I think Mm knows that, and that's why they've invested so much into tools for the players to thrive and create.
They aren’t tied down with over inflated budgets and the community genuinely want the gaming industry to thrive on creativity , it’s things like this that prove the gaming community is nowhere near as toxic as people like to make it seem, makes me happy to be a gamer 😃

Making a level with too much detail would be too much for the thermo. But by making short clips and saving them, you could make a good looking 2 hour movie and post it on youtube.

it seems dreams is the ultimate creation tool not just for games, but for any kind of visual story telling, or maybe even music creation as well. You could probably use it to make childrens books, immersive comics, short films, or anything.
Do you think it’s possible to make a whole game with graphic design as this creation at the beginning or the thermo would go crazy (I haven’t played dreams yet that’s why I ask)
no way lolol the thermo would cry. you could get definitely make a full game thats detailed since you have the options to link millions of levels together so you could be smart with it and the transition time to each level is like 2-3 seconds but to get a full game with the detail of the first creation just isn't possible, maybe if they ported it over to the PS5 and take advantage of the hardware or it comes to PC.
How much is the limit of the thermal in the early access?

I've been with xbox for years but I guess i'm gonna have to play on both because I have an idea for a game that I want to make
I have Little Big Planet 3, and I find this to be great news.
I remember Mario Paint. Flexing those creative muscles, is a must, for creative people.
I'm sure that I can enjoy works of others, including AAA titles, but the variety of this, I am sure to love. Having this toolbox, would make me very happy. Customization, is fun, for me. Sometimes, randomizing can lead to ideas that were hidden gems, also.
The scope is narrow, in games that appeal to everyone.
This, may be the intimate, and immediacy answer to bloated, predictable, and distant trends of the corporate funnel.
Who knows what's next?
This game is so cool. It's challenging and daunting but I applaud the devs with making it fun while you learn. Think about having to explain game creation while making it really enjoyable. They're genius.
Dreams is completely overwhelming to me. So much to learn and the things people make are literally mind blowing.

Holyyyyy... I just realized that making LBP levels in Dreams is going to be insanely easy because of the player sharing feature. Like, when people release Sackboy (or have they already? idk if the Dream you showed is usable yet) and keep creating replicated items, we'll essentially have LBP imported into Dreams. Why does this blow my mind?

I've always wanted the power to create my own games, but even with things as simple as Lego Worlds, I realized I just don't have the patience to really create something good. Story-wise? No problem. But to *build* the world, I just don't have it in me. So while Dreams sparked a strong interest in me at first, I figured I would pass, knowing that I couldn't make proper use of it.
But now, looking at what other people are making, I may just have to get it after all, and focus on playing the content created by others.

I’m a future creator with multiple un released and un-finished games all in the making with many prompts
My current projects is a fully fledged, story based back to the future game
Other projects are:
Vr apocalypse game
Vr UNlondon game, quest and story based with a mystery theme called- ‘Tales From Unlondon’
And a secret project which I can’t disclose, of course no-ones going to be excited about it due to my creator status and how I’m still new to development but when I finally get used to the tools and finish the games, I’m sure that’ll change
Can you make like full on games like not just 20min demo but just like 5 or 8 hour game or is it limited by the size of the things you can make
You can make 40 hour games if you wanted to since you're able to link literally millions of levels together. The only things you can't do is make open world because the thermometer won't allow it on the current console we have or mmo since even when multiplayer drops it'll be 4 maybe 8 players.
