Love the videography definitely highlighted the best of the corals. I remember 20 years ago when I was in the hobby the first time. The worm rock was everywhere, back then not many people knew how to keep them alive though.
In the late 80's and early 90's we could get Florida live rock that was really "live rock" with all kinds of life on it, even some "Christmas worms".... At live rock prices...! LOL
When I started watching Tidal Gardens videos years ago, the voice got me hooked. Could almost put me to sleep. Very soothing. And then I finally got to see the face with the voice. Man I was way off from what I envisioned. Not in a bad way, I just assumed I was listening to some super knowledgeable white dude talking about corals. 🤣 Now after many more binge watching sprees, the voice definitely fits the face😃 love the content. And hands down the best coral photography on the tube!
Awesome video! I've definitely added both the glitter bomb goni, and that meltdown favites to my "must have" list, so hopefully you'll have some for sale soon!
Those paguritta hermits are 1 of 3 paguritta spp. that have yet to have a species name assigned to them that I'm familiar with. They are definitely closer along the lines of P. harmsi/P. morgani/P. scottae in terms of pattern/coloration than P. corallicola. Both of my favorites come out of the Solomon Islands (P. gracilipes and another undescribed reticulated member with red tipped chelae similar to P. corallicola and P. kroppi). Curious where that bisma rock was collected from for sure, very cool indeed.
Awesome corals. I will have to bug the guys at cherry corals about that can.😊 I live close and have gotten my entire (small) collection from them. Really nice guys. It was funny to see that really short clip of them.
Everyone has a secret stash! That favia wow! When I saw the preview, I thought for sure it would be a chalice. I would guess the favia will be much easier to maintain the rainbow polyp for polyp as many of the rainbow chalices seem to go off in different colours in different directions and not be as balanced.
Awesome. I’m still awaiting the purple pink tip frogspawn I wasn’t able to purchase from you a while back. Is there any left or ever will be any? I love your videos and coral. Thank you as always for keeping me in loop. 👍👊
I'm sure you've had this question a million times, but what kind of camera do you use? Absolutely *beautiful* and *stunning* images in this video ♡ I'm glad I found your channel!!
I have been looking for a Christmas tree worm for basically a year. I saw one at the LFS that was kinda just a dull brown. Some other customer got it, but ended up returning it half dead.
I'm also suffering from a browning of my favia that looked insane in-store. What were the parameters that defined "good water chemistry" for your scorpion king?
I reckon stable water chemistry is a good start. So it doesn't fluctuate. When you get to the size of water that they have. The water chemistry doesn't shift as much as in a smaller set-up. They also use Rainwater as R/O water in their newer set-ups. Dunno if that contributes.

Beautiful collection Than! Thanks for the sneak peek.

I will be purchasing some frag packs soon, waiting on my propagation system to cycle
I love seeing your corals! Even if I don't kepp corals myself. I am probably too shortsighted for that hobby...

Tidal Gardens by far the best coral photography on the Internet 😍
That meltdown favia is epic would love to own a frag of that one day
Me too, in case you want to cut it into 3 pieces 😉
i realize I'm kind of randomly asking but does anyone know a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?
Loved the Christmas Tree worm habitat!

Yes, I think it will have very consistent color patterning.
I think when David Attenborough retires Than should host Blue Planet. Sort of like the Barry White of the reef world lololol. Great vid as always.
That would be a fun gig. My footage has been used by the BBC before, but not my voice :)
This is a great video. I want a coral tank
Go for it!

I like the fact that the corals you picked are not all acro's. Great eye.
A lot of high end Acros look very similar to me, and making a list of them would kind of blend together.
What were your nitrates and phosphates when you mentioned they were high and impacting the coloration of the coral?
At their highest, nitrate was 100 ppm and phosphate was 2 ppm.
@@tidalgardens Yikes! Okay, I feel better with our values, lol. Nitrate 20 ppm and PO4 0.11

Does anyone know the name of the frag at 1:10?
It is an ultra red Goniopora
@@tidalgardens Thank you! ✌️
First👍👍🤗
Than do you plan on fragging these in the future?
All but the worm rock
Hello Than, how big are the Christmas tree rocks? I recently got one abot 5" my research tells me it will be about 5" for ever
They are about that size
Went out and got the WA(CC) Scorpion King Favia lol
When will the scorpion king be for sale?
It is going to be a while yet. It hasn't been cut as of this moment.
I love the Christmas tree worm rock had one for years then my kids dumped a coke in my tank and then melted
wow, I would of fed their lil fingers to the puffer!
@bob998ish I can see that! Baby Neuts!
👍
