Thank you for the epic information and work do you bring so much confidence to beginners and old aquarist to get started again and for the first time @fragbox and @tidalgardens are some of my favorites every day I watch at least 2 videos each sometimes rerun it
probably the best video ever shot on the channel, learned so much ! I can see myself going back and rewatching this one a couple times a year to see how its done.

I was at his greenhouse years ago and he was a really nice guy. It's amazing to see how far he has come since then, it's been about 8 years since I was there and have been out of the hobby for about 7 years.
I love the crossover videos. I love Tidal Gardens. Been following Than for years and watched the whole progression of the new building. I tease and call it the mother ship. It has everything except beds lol.
I've watched so many of Than's videos but this is great. A totally different perspective. He's showing you guys things that he probably didn't think the average viewer would be interested in.
Ordered my first Corals from Tidal and they were amazing from quality of packaging/shipping to the health of the corals received! cant wait to order more!!
Really cool to see the place I've bought corals from through the eyes of the place I'm hopefully going to buy my next tank from! Thanks for another great video.
Epic episode indeed. 🙌 bet jake would loved to tour the place. Keep it up guy's. Ur content drives the industry with professional opinions and sheer hard work. 👌
I love all your content but this was a home run! Beautiful coverage of what Than has built at Tidal Gardens. Such a magical experience and I hope we get to see more of you traveling around to check out amazing reefing operations. Though it will be hard to beat Tidal Gardens. It's on my bucket list to visit Than and see Tidal Gardens in person.
Do you own a store anymore? Everytime fragbox video pops up you either on holiday looking at crazy good corals or in another shop looking at crazy good corals. Im not jealous at all! Ok Than is on a different level, the mans detail to attention is second to none.
March, you underestimate your camera skills. No diss to Patrick, but things got bit choppy when his brain pointed the camera one place and you were conversing on something different, I felt my gag reflex. 🤓😂. Your brain working the camera and conversation works much better. Than has created a unique top tier design and implementation with that facility… 👍
I have a 300 gallon glass cages. 7 xr30 pros. 4 mp 60,s .hamali sump ect ect..I thought I had a handful to maintain. I couldn't imagine managing and staying on top of all of what tidal gardens has running.
I have been watching the legend Than at Tidal Gardens for years...and I learn something new every time!! I need those Maggie Muffler! I am also from Canada, let me know if I can get from you please. Also, seeing that Than is using algae scrubber and reactors in the old farm, why not using/making a huge refugium in the new building so you can lower from 0.1 to your ideal level of phosphate and be able to sell algae? I believe he said he wants it to be at 0.08. Why not the level we all trying to reach at 0.04. why 0.08?
i so see u thinking hmm if iwas to open a huge warehouse this is how i would do it .... great video great questions and tidal gardens is totally on the next level . i have not seen any detail like his in toronto ...
If I only needed one copperband for a home aquarium it would be something to consider but unfortunately I need dozens so I get to struggle with quarantine and food training.
Than has the best facility ever thought out and constructed, I would say WWC will be in second place Than is a very oriented person top notch facility all the way, Great inspiration
I personally find fish easy and coral much harder...fish are super forgiving and some almost bulletproof..so if you can keep coral happy then fish should be an absolute breeze..I love this set up so neat clean organised...ergonomic and efficient...just how id want to set it up to...money very well spent sir...much respect.💙🐠🦈🐟🦀🐡🐙
I have couple of questions and a suggestion: A) Are there poisonous corals? B) Can you evaporate the old water to recover the salt to re-use? C) How long can a coral live in a perfect enviroment Suggestion: People including me we want to have a salt acuarium but we dont know anithing about the equipment and building of a tank. I would suggest making a video showinh how to start teaching how set up a skimer and how to het the water into it and back up (pumps) heaters and so on
Hi, I can try to answer your questions! Other people are also free to correct me! A) I’m not sure about poisonous corals but some zoanthids and palythoas (not corals but closely related) contain a chemical compound called “palytoxin” that is extremely deadly. As cnidarians, most corals have nematocysts (stinging cells) that make them somewhat venomous (depending on the species). I’ve been stung by a large elegance coral which felt like a bee sting and caused my finger to swell for a couple of hours. B) You can evaporate old water to regenerate the salt crystals but there really isn’t a reason why you should do this. Unless you’re evaporating less than a gallon, it would be difficult to boil 5 or more gallons of water completely. Moreover, it would likely be even harmful to do so. Water changes are performed to remove organics from the tank and to replenish certain water parameters. Evaporating old tank water would just result in salt that has been stripped of essential elements and inundated with organics and is thus not recommended. C) We don’t actually know the answer to this question because the classification of “perfect environment” is largely subjective. However if we’re assuming that a coral receives proper light, flow, nutrition, space to grow, and excellent water chemistry, then they can theoretically live indefinitely. Many corals in the wild are recorded to be over 5,000 years old!
Than should be the spokes person for a product line of aquarium sound dampening products and vibration reducers he has curated. I don’t think that exists as a coherent nano-product line.
@@fragboxcorals Do you think you will give us a heads up on the exact day in a later video or post? You got me back into the hobby and actually introduced me to aac (somehow from the other side of the planet) I have been watching your videos for a ages so It would be awesome to meet you! Maybe u can pick me out a coral from aac considering U can’t bring me any of yours :( Thanks March Looks forward to hopefully meeting you
We have a few real ones but for the conference table and break area we went with decent quality knock offs. The real ones have nicer leather but otherwise are really similar.
I don't know how it's possible but I've never had one Aiptasia. I'm sure I will eventually but I guess just lucky. Never dipped or quarantined a coral either

Asking Than, "Do you smoke weed?", is the realist shit I've ever heard. Love the video.
Can't wait 2 days for this guaranteed banger of a video
