It's pretty obvious to me that the most dangerous alien creature in this film is Betty. She has a superhuman ability to convince anyone that anything she says is true; I bet she came to this planet to hide amongst a less-advanced species and conceal her ability. But then Derek and crew showed up, and faced with the prospect of finding yet another planet of people who look and speak just like her, she instead resorted to her ability in order to save her adopted homeworld, Earth. That's why she's so credulous when it comes to what Derek tells her- she's seen this all before!

I was trapped with my mom, aunt, and other cackling broads in an old house. They had daughters, so they only had 'girl toys' laying around.

If you watch the start of 1968's Planet of the Apes, the "NASA" 🚀 cockpit set is wierd. It's like a living room or 2 bed apt 🏠 . The design team must never flew on a large plane or saw any astronauts before.

There are a lot of comedy reviewers on the internet, but nobody inserts them selves into a scene like Mark. I love his humour and the writing, but he just can't be touched when it comes to how he adds himself to the scenes. Sets his channel above the competition

I wonder if this movie inspired the original concept George Romero had for Night of the Living Dead, What i'm talking about? this was his original idea for the movie: "The first concept Romero and co-writer John Russo had was a horror comedy about teenage aliens who arrive on Earth to hang out with human teens. Eventually, the idea morphed into cannibal aliens, and then into just dead cannibals."

This is one of those films where the making of it and the result of it are far more interesting than the film itself. And not just because the film is brain-meltingly dull; it’s a genuinely interesting story!

The dubstep song "Aliens" by Figure uses samples from this movie in a funny way. That's how i first tracked down this movie. "We Need More Power Betty! If there's any way to generate more power we've got to have more! I can join in more circuits, but it may blow up the line........ We have the supreme weapons"

Thanks for this, a fun video and believe it or not this is actually one of my favourite movies of all time. I'm serious! Originally I thought it was the funniest bad movie I'd ever seen. A real gem worthy of MST3K-style ribbing and it still is. But in the years (and countless viewings) since then, and having learned more of the romantic and tragic Ed Wood-like history behind the making of it (a lot of which was missed here), I've come to appreciate it in a more serious way for what it was trying to do and be. It's got a truly fascinating history, and is well worth checking out.
And remember, we can mock the masking tape on the uniforms and how cheap the effects are. But then, the Terminator's eyeball was made from tinfoil, a cheap bulb and a cigarette, Star Wars used bubble wrap on snowspeeder seat belts and Klingon sashes were made from velcro in Star Trek. Tight budgets necessitate creativity, especially in sci-fi. Sometimes it pays off and sometimes not. But you've got to give them credit for trying.
