  • Will Ramos of Lorna Shore broke into my studio again, which means we gotta listen to some music! You all have been asking for a year now for me to check out "Watch The World Burn" by Falling In Reverse, and instead of watching the music video (which I'm told has some images that I don't feel comfy releasing on the channel), I found this live performance that I'm super keen on analyzing!
    Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff and Will Ramos of Lorna Shore, as she analyzes Falling In Reverse's "Watch The World Burn" Live.

    Will throwing shade at "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith & Run-DMC isn't sitting well with me. I know you're younger and that's why I'm explaining this in a direct but respectful way.
    That song was revolutionary and brought Rap music into the mainstream. Any person who didn't listen to rap before that, because they didn't have easy access to it, was thrown for an amazing loop. A whole genre came into popular culture because of that song and while there were Rock "purists" who hated it (really just because they were racist), anyone who liked new things (and wasn't quite as prejudiced) got introduced to something amazing.
    I was 10 at the time, 1986, and lived in Duluth, MN, far away from either coast and fell in love immediately.
    This created the genre that was the mash-up between Rock and Hip-hop, which became a huge thing in the 90s.
    It also saved the career of Aerosmith, and probably their lives.

    I just HAVE to say how amazing I think it is that Will, who is my idol, just kinda came into your life and completely changed your life forever. For the better even in my point. You try to teach people about music and voice and then someone suggested To The Hellfire to you, which is how I found you.... and now you absolutely love and explore metal and you're testing out the science behind it all and teaching young vocalists such as myself why we can do what we do and how we do what we do and I just love that for you. And no better person to help you learn than, in my opinion, the greatest metal vocalist of all time, Will Ramos. ❤

    I saw them live this fall at the Cynthia Woods Pavillion venue, Houston Tx. They were so fanfreakintastic!!! I was very impressed with they way the two main singers share the stage and the vocals. (I think they may actually be related???) Also, we were fairly close to the stage 20yds, maybe. The bass drum and bass growl together reverberate right through your chest cavity!!!! The kind that leaves you vibrating for 10 minutes post concert!!! My first exposure to this band lived, and they were worth a repeat for sure!!

      You’re not wrong. Def System of a Down vibes. If you ask me he sounds more like Daron than Serj though. Listen to System’s song Lonely Day where Daron is lead vocals, then come back to 34:00 in this video. Listen to the “i” sounds in Ronnie’s voice. I freakin love it (System is my favorite all time). This song was incredible already, but that part pushed it over the top. So good.

    • @BoomeBox
      @BoomeBox 3 месяца назад +1

      @joshdhankins you are absolutely right, this has a lot of Lonely Day and not only his voice but parts if the melody as well. Usually it is Serj doing those types of runs but in this case it's definitely Daron. Nice catch! Definitely one of my all time greats as well
