i guess Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I love any assistance you can offer me!
The top screw that you click is for the mid to top end range and is NOT the smoke screw! The smoke screw is under the cap ( looks like a thimble ) all the way in the back of the AFC which is for low to mid range but only turn that one up when you get your EGT gauge installed and only turn 1/2 of a turn per run and keep a eye on your temps each time
Hey Chuck good to see you back and see that you are doing well! Btw LOVE that intro LMAO so true every word of it. IF and when you decide to go 4k RPM you will need to get 60lb valve springs because major engine damage can occur if you leave in the originals. Also get yourself a EGT gauge to keep a eye on your temps because turning up the fuel can cause your turbo blades to melt and will send shrapnel into the engine. NO more than 1,500 degrees for more than a few seconds. Sustaining 1,200-1,350 when towing or under heavy load is ok
Awesome videos! You are a true inspiration. Not many people swapping 2wd rigs. Ive got an 88 crew dually im putting an 03 common rail with the nv5600. I had my doubts about even starting the project until you shoved a big allison in there. Keep working on bessie! Dorothy will have new life soon. Take care!
I’ve never clicked a video so fast, good to have you back! Bessie was one of my main inspirations for my current project, a 12V/NV4500 into a 65 C10. Ive watched every episode at least 10 times thanks for making such good videos Chuck
I am so glad to see you back! The second my phone said there was a new video from ChucksCustoms, I hit the button. I was at work so I only watched a little, and then paused it so I could savor it at home while relaxing in my easy chair. You did not disappoint. Your editing is always top notch. And the fact that you moved, set up a new shop, did all of that behind the scenes work on Bessie - all while working your full time job - that’s truly impressive. And the amount of performance you gained for literally just a few dollars - also truly impressive. Bring on the merch. I’m in. So looking forward to more of what you do, and to the day you hit 1 million subscribers. Because then I can brag about how I was one of first. Again, so glad to see you back.
It's comments like this that truly keep me motivated to keep doing these videos!! I really can't thank you enough for your support. If I ever hit 1 million subs, I'll make a special "1mil subs" t-shirt and I'll make sure that you'll be the first person to receive one!
I did the same thing to a 95 f700 crew cab I had it was night and day difference it was a torque monster after a few adjustments glad to see you back Chuck keep doing you buddy.
Hot damn I can't wait to watch this video! I'm driving right now but as soon as I get home, I will check it out. Very happy to see new content from you man!
Cool video! Glad you got her turned up a bit. Gets me excited to see how mine does when she's all done! I went a bit crazy and bought 60# valve springs, bigger delivery valves, injectors 3/4 gov springs and an AFC live from Power Driven Diesel. It's their 500hp power package but with my turbo I'm shooting for ~400 or so. I don't need a race truck, but I definitely need my build to be an excellent tow truck. The AFC live allows you to fine tune the AFC for power/economy/smoke control, all from a pneumatic in-cab controller. Can wait to start playing with it... still waiting on my intercooler pipe kit to arrive today...
On vice grip garage he said the inside of those rubber brake hoses go bad and collapse sometimes will let fluid to caliper when you use brakes but not let it fluid return back to reservoir when released
It’s great to see you back man. I’m about to start my 73 c30 crew cab swap. I was able to find a sweet 98 3500 12v cummins/NV4500 with only 200K. I’m following your foot steps and I even built my wooden gantry as well, thanks to you. I wish your channel the best and I hope you get many many more subs now that you’ve returned. Waiting for that 60ib valve spring upgrade. 👊🏻👍🏻
Hell yeah man!! If I can offer just one word of advice, try to save the A/C! I ripped mine out, and now I realize I probably could've saved it lol but that sounds awesome brother! You gotta send me some pics and keep me posted, if love to see the progress 👍 thanks for the support!!
ChucksCustoms absolutely brother. Here is my email; eagleteamipro@gmail.com. Send me your phone number and I’ll keep you posted with the progress of my project. 🙏🏻👊🏻
welcome back, I was wondering if yoh did another 0-60 test after adjusting the smoke screw to see if there was a difference, also am wondering what kind of mpg you got, i am seriously considering swapping in a 12 valve in my 63 c10 thank you and awesome video
For the brake dragging issue I’ve seen that on some hydro boost installs the part between the booster and master cylinder is too long. If there’s not some clearance it’s as if your brake pedal is slightly pressed all the time.
That’s exactly what ended up being the issue. I wound up finding a pushrod and return spring in a junk yard truck and it instantly fixed the problem 👍🏻
ChucksCustoms is back! Loved the intro to the video. I can't wait to see your merchandise roll out as I want to keep this great channel alive and Bessie lookin sharp!!! Keep up the great work and congratulations on the new house, the garage looks awesome.
@@ChucksCustoms Been a fan since day one. I love to see you tackle obstacles others would never dare to try and learning with you through the process. I look forward to someday doing a '67 C10 5.9L Cummins dream build myself. Keep inspiring us all!
You could take the Plate completely out and block off theTurbo waste gate at the pump and you have to do it at the Turbo side too. You will feel a huge difference and a lot more smoke. If you don't like it you can always put it back the way it is
Glad youre back brother, missed you! The soft hose could be bad even brand new sometimes especially if its a cheap one, it can hold the pressure on your caliper
You make such awesome videos...on an alternate note, I’m upset we didn’t get to see the videos from these updates. Even if they were just montage with voice over.
Thank you! I honestly tried to film it all, but it was very rushed because of the move (I had to be out of the house by a certain date) and I just didn't feel like it was up to my standards of video quality. I do plan on filming everything from here on out though
Chuck, which air filter are you using on there? I need to order one that size for my swap, I'm using the same exhaust manifold so my turbo is in the same spot.
This turbo still screams 👍 unfortunately it's the only air filter that will fit because the oil filter assembly is right in the way. I'm looking into other options though
good to see you doing good chuck. the intro was pretty funny. i have been trying to get a 1999 dodge ram 1500 regular cab (i have a video on it) its a black truck but i want to paint it flame red and install cab lights.
I might have to. I think my alternator was slightly misaligned as well because the belt started to delaminate on one side. It’s missing a few grooves now lol but I appreciate the input! How much contact should I aim for?
Hey man the videos are great the build is awesome but for the love of god please turn the timelapse scene music down 50%-60% its insanely loud and your constantly left changing the volume every 30 seconds. Other then get some more content out asap!
Unfortunately the only way I could help is to give you advice once you get started. Best place to find everything you need it to just shop around online, like Craigslist, or Facebook marketplace.
Painting it cat yellow and putting the cummins in that Chevy must have ruined the motor, my 97 3/4 2wd is a mustang eating monster with the 4k spring and no fuel plate, and my truck has 340,000 mi on it
Yep, motor is destroyed and I get beaten by all the mustangs now. Maybe I’ll paint the next one John Deere green and put it in a Subaru. That will definitely work better than this paint/vehicle combo!
I really think Bessie qualifies for a rat rod with a dash that resembles a 2020 ford raptor! NOT/LOL. I guess it is better than your standard LS engine swap. I see torque for the million mile mark... second gear and shift at twelve hundred to forth gear to high and then pour the prick to "Bettsie" and she will talk to you in a foreign language.
I've never seen someone describe Cummins mods in such a clear and concise manner. Very good!
Thank you! Glad you like it!
ChucksCustoms can you tell me what’s mpg I’m really interested. Thank you

Agreed on the gauges. I was going to say the same thing.
Welcome back! It's been too long since I've seen Bessie and I was missing her. I mean, you're okay too I guess.
Haha 😂 no worries, I fully understand!

Been wanting to do a Cummins swap in my square body for a while, thanks for the process
So glad to see you back. Really enjoyed the video.

Lol thanks man!
Glad you're back, love the truck and the videos. You should knock the pin out and ditch the auto shifter.
glad you got a new spot. this is one of my favorite projects on youtube because its the kind of stuff i do at home lol
Dude.. keep the videos coming. Your very fun to watch. Love your sense of humor. Your truck is sounding awesome!
Thank you!
Hey Chuck, thank you for making these videos you have given me inspiration and a good laugh. Keep up the good work! Your making great progress!
If you want some smoke you have to adjust the pre boost screw on the back of the afc housing. Good luck keep up the content
welcome back, I was wondering if yoh did another 0-60 test after adjusting the smoke screw to see if there was a difference, also am wondering what kind of mpg you got, i am seriously considering swapping in a 12 valve in my 63 c10

Love your channel. I would love to put one in my 85k10 and would like to know the mpg on your truck
I missed You bro, we ve been talking on Instagram, i'm glad You re back, greets from argentina!!!!
Glad that be back!
Welcome back missed this channel.
Thanks! Glad to be back in the shop

Hell yeah broseph! 🤘
I like the new shop bro.
Great intro, good to see you back.
Thanks! I'm very happy to be back!
I was wondering what happened to you... glad your back..!!
Thanks! Glad to be back!
“Pumping up the juice” - chuck 😂😂😂😂
Glad your back iam almost done building my dually right now
Thanks, glad to be back! Sounds like an awesome project!
Rubber line going to the caliper could be calapsed, causing the caliper to stick. May not be releasing pressure.
You could take the Plate completely out and block off theTurbo waste gate at the pump and you have to do it at the Turbo side too. You will feel a huge difference and a lot more smoke. If you don't like it you can always put it back the way it is
I'll be sure to look into it! Thanks for the tip!
What was that song that was playing when he put back together the fuel plate I like that stuff
Glad youre back brother, missed you! The soft hose could be bad even brand new sometimes especially if its a cheap one, it can hold the pressure on your caliper
Glad to be back! And that's very good to know. I never would've thought a new hose could cause an issue, but it's worth a shot. Thanks for the tip!
Like he said most likely hose but possible caliper if hose don't work. Had it happen a few times on customer cars
Rip Van Winkle! haha Glad to see another upload!!
Glad to be back!
your NV4500 shifts like a mm between the gears. I gotta shift mine like a country mile lol . Did you put a short throw on that transmission?
When you did your cummins swap what transmission did you go with
Hey man thanks for the video. Change that brake line if you had not yet with all the new parts. Great job explaining things!
Thanks! And will do!
I love this truck it's absolutely my dream build but in an 86 c 10
WELCOME BACK!!
Thank you!!
Been a while bro. Did you adjust the timing yet?
Love the videos.. been awhile.. keep them coming!!!!

@@ChucksCustoms im thinking of bassically restoring it. if i do would you watch?
What was the 0-60 after you adjusted the smoke screw?
It was so long ago I honestly don’t remember. It wasn’t much faster though, just felt a bit more peppy on the take off
Where did you get the motor mounts? Thanks for the vids!
The motor mounts were custom made by me in part 4 of the series 👍 thanks for watching!
I don’t subscribe to many but you got mine great video
2shifters one in the column one on the floor 😎 that’s gansta 🤣
Haha you know it! 😂
Lol. Great swap series why didn’t you just get a 1st gen square body dodge it already has the 5.9 in it haha
Because I love square body Chevys but I also love 12 valve Cummins 😂 why not have both in one? Lol
What are your thoughts on a 10speed swap from a semi truck the Eaton tt6610 transmission?
I honestly can’t really say, I don’t know anything about those transmissions or what it would take to swap it into a pickup truck
Awesome video man hack yea bud 💪
Thank you!!
Can you take the fuel plate out an will it work ???
That's not really something I want to test just yet lol
ChucksCustoms but do you know if it’s safe to do I have no clue what could happen?
The truck will run the same just more pep in its step because the rack can fully advance
You should put hood stack on it
Not really my style for this build lol
Can You give a link to the gps speedometer?
Thanks buddy
Sure thing!

Cericoat the injector lines?
Thats not a bad idea!
Is that a 3.73? Maybe try a taller gear
Your tensioner setup doesn’t make much contact with belt , I’d be looking at a idler wheel to correct the angles
I might have to. I think my alternator was slightly misaligned as well because the belt started to delaminate on one side. It’s missing a few grooves now lol but I appreciate the input! How much contact should I aim for?

On you knowlegde im planning buy a ford ranger do you think the can fit bt6 5.9 cummins or un bt4
You would need a 4bt. The 6bt would be way too long.
ChucksCustoms ok thanks for you advise im you fan by the way and im mexican 🤣🤣
If you’ve got the torque and 1st gear is useless... It might be time to change up that rear end.
Way ahead of you 😎
I turned my fuel plate into a "0" and now at idle the fuel fumes burn your eyes...
I’m sorry to hear that man, that’s not an issue I’m too familiar with.

BAD RUBBER BREAK HOSE FRONT PASSENGER.....?
Truck is slow as balls.
Never claimed to be fast, just faster than it was 😂
