Agreed. Having the missile able to find targets on its own would be OP as hell. But the fire and forget on a locked target with the radar seeker head will be just as strong as stuff we already have in game. But Britain isnt allowed nice things.
I remain baffled by why Gaij9in doesn't just make the Brimstones fire and forget, but without lock-on after launch. That wouldn't make them OP, it would just make them good.

And im not saying it should get the full acquire after firing/ignore smokes mechanic but the "oh it would be op" argument is just full BS, URSS is already OP AF, the problem here is that only one side has the OP thing.

While playing the JAS39C i have to be fully aware of the single SPAA able to engage me further than 12KM(Pantsir) Man if you don't think URSS CAS/SPAA is just stupid OP u must be blind/braindead. My last match with the Pantsir i got 9 air kills, good luck getting 9 air kills with the FlakRAD/ITO/OTOMATIC.
I've tested it pretty extensively. The Brimstones are absolutely terrible. You can't do things like fire off a volley and then guide them to different targets. You can't fire them without laser on (they only go to rough area you pointed them at. You can only guide in on one target, but the problem is that they're so slow that you're sitting there, easily picked off by AA. If you carry on full throttle they basically get there the same time you get to the target. The pods gimbal limit isn't good enough to fire and fly to the side either. They're SO bad, like completely pointless.

as one who grinded most ground and air trees to 10.0+ and uk air all the way to Rank 7 halfway to F111C, i think britan has one of the weakest airtrees, esp for cas, sure there is a few good ones in betwean, but a lot fewer good planes than most other nations at very least until rank7. And considering it gets the WORSE F111 at same bloody br as the american one theres a lot of issues in uk airtree comparatively to the other nations.
i have always said when it comes to brits they have ok stuff, it is just that everyone else has much easier to use stuff, which just leaves the brit stuff frustrating to play
I was under the impression the AU F-111C was the best of the series as it benefited from the F-111F's engines and the most modern avionics and armaments of any F-111.

There was talk of them getting a different guidance designation - SAL ? but I'm not seeing this is anything different from a regular laser missile like a Vikhirs... maybe there is something more to come ?
to be honest. its been way to long they are nerfing the UK tech tree, ground and air. while other countries dont get the same ruling even tho they are stronger. it does realy start to feel like favouritism of certain countries. same with the 45km missiles that the bucanneer S2B uses, but only lock range of 7km making them underperform realy hard.
It's really annoying that gijian is just proving to everyone and the British players more then ever that our tech is just better then everyone elses stuff and we need to be handicapped to give everyone else a fair fight

yet again brit getting fucked for no reason - haven't played much since they added supersonics for 2 years well also nerfing brit top jet and outright refusing to give them a supersonic to match for several patches think i had like 2 years of premium time that have expired with almost 0 usage cos top tier was so bad I didn't want to grind and mid tier was so full of OP premium or russian vehicles it wasnt worth playing not to mention all the R60 aim9 etc missiles that were at like in every 8.0 game making you subsonic no missile planes literally unplayable
