Dagoth Ur Skyrim Faction Tier List
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 12 мар 2023
- Here it is once again, Skyrim factions, but this time it is in fact a Tier List, rather than your regular "Dagoth Ur Helps you Pick a Faction" video. He does not like most of the Skyrim factions, especially the Bard's College and the College of Winterhold. MatPat also makes a brief appearance. He also does not like some of the mechanics of the Imperials and the Stormcloacks. Overall, it is a very diverse and thought-out tier list. This is an AI Skyrim meme, and Morrowind meme made using Eleven Labs Ai. It is a fantastic tool. I would also like to thank everyone for giving this channel 5000 subscribers.
Looking forward to many more days of creating these amazing videos.

"Sorry about that I have destroyed him"
Now *this* is how you honor the sixth house and the tribe unmourned.
Immediately went to the comments to see if I was alone in finding that fucking hilarious
@@JB-xl2jc woke up my parents because I laughed out loud
That got you a subscription
"My name is Gruob Big-Sword I know 3 spell they make me Archmage" is the best description of the College of Winterhold questline
i'm saying "sorry about that, i destroyed him" to my friends next time i have to answer the door to a pizza guy delivering to the wrong house, interrupting game night
the "farm tools" joke clearly flew under everyone's radar 🤫
Not mine though. Low-key racism is fun!
Joke?
I don't get it. Hoes?
Ant a joke back in good old 3e, the only good thing that a cat and lizard be is a farmtool. Maybe if they are very strong and intimidating a telvanni wizard might just release them from their toils.
Explain
The Companions are inconsistent in their whole werewolf identity. They pretend that the Circle being werewolves is a well-kept secret even from the rest of the Companions, but nobody bats an eye that they have this huge feud out in the open with the Silver Hand. It would be better if you were allowed to advance the questline without being a werewolf yourself given that Aela immediately tells you that the curse means nothing if you don't actively use it. Like, if when you are invited to the Underforge, you should be allowed to tell Skjor that maybe Kodlak is right and you dont need the wolf blood, prompting him to challenge at Gallow's Rock and the questline continues as normal.
That, and the Silver Hand not being a real faction - they're werewolf hunters, directly opposed to the minions (willing or not) of a Daedric Prince. For no reason, they're enemies.
Shame on Bethesda for such lazy writing.
Or explaining that being a dragonborn werewolf(or vampire) could be a bad thing because Hircine(Malog) will have a legit claim on the dragonborn's soul when he or she dies. Who knows what Hiricine (or any other prince) would do with a soul with that much power and potential.
If there is one important detail about the Companion quest that tends to not be talked about much is that a person's expected afterlife is not always guaranteed. Kodlak wanted Sovengarde but because of the werewolf thing he would've ended up with Hircine if not for the cure.
@@chadharger9323 this is a non issue, because the dragonborn is guaranteed a place in sovengarde, no matter which daedra tries to claim his soul.
@@starlightroc399 I've read a couple of comments that stated some of the princes would go to war to try and claim the dragonborn's soul after he dies. The comments were meant as a joke but in hindsight it may be a frightening possibility. Princes don't care about the Divines. Trinimac and Arkay are proof of that. Some of them would have no problem trying to attack Sovengarde just to get one soul.
the Silver Hand should've also been an actually opponents to the Daedra on the same level as the Vigilants. Mayhaps even an offshoot of them.
How is everyone missing the "how would lycanthropy work for farm tools" joke in reference to argonians and khajiit being werewolves lmao
You got’cherself a point there mister!👈
Aren’t the Argonians resistant to disease because of their Hist blood or something?
Also they be reptiles and werewolves are mammals right?
Or is Lycanthropy the golden standard of inclusiveness in the fact that it will infect any and all without discrimination?
Lol in Morrowind I gave magic a try, joined the guild, felt like I was working for the Mafia, just running around beating people up cause the owed the guild money.
Yeah the mages Guild in Morrowind isn't all that great tbh. It's mostly collecting guild dues or fetching books or items. Oblivion mages Guild tbh is the best version, even compared to the College of Winterhold.
You have to keep in mind that the Mage’s Guild holds a monopoly on magic in the other provinces. In Morrowind, it doesn’t, and it’s not a level playing field due to House Telvanni being completely unregulated. I think it’s actually pretty neat how seedy and corner cutting Morrowind’s Mage’s Guild is as a consequence.
@@welshlout3400 even so, gameplay is what matters, and the gameplay for the Morrowind mages Guild was very mediocre
@@MapleLeafAce It's a matter of opinion I guess.
@@MapleLeafAce There were so many quests for Oblivion's though lol. You need ALL of their recommendations
I can't believe how much I like hearing Dagoth Ur saying "the mongrel dogs of the Empire" lmao
What really annoys me about the Thieves Guild (aside from how weak it is, how “edgy” everyone is, and how lackluster it is compared to Oblivion and Morrowind, not including the retconning of the skeleton key’s existence) is how every NPC in Riften calls the Ratway “the city under the city” and all it is is a couple tunnels that circle around with a bar near the entrance but also not.
To be fair that by the time of Skyrim, everything is in some kind of decay. The guilds are no different. The dragonborn can either breathe new life into the guilds or let them eventually fade into obscurity by never joining(or in the case the dark brotherhood put them out of their misery.)
It was either Fudge Muppet or Drewmora that did a great video about the decay.
@@chadharger9323 Decay or not, it's not even structured to hold more than the thieves guild and just a few random shmucks. Not really city material
I can agree with you but out of all the guilds I actually enjoy the thieves guild it fun and puts a smile on my face when I play it. The only issue is I’m not exactly the sneaky type, never played archer before, but still a fun quest line with some really cool additional equipment as well as having an impactful plot on the lore in a not breaking the universe type of way etc.
@@bevvvy1374 Doesn't help Astrid and Mercer are traitors. Did they have a bet on who could betray their group first? And that's another missed opportunity story wise - those two were working together all along.
Not to mention they want the DB to work alone to make it the "city under the city".
"We ran into a string of bad luck", bad luck or just plain lazy. Honestly Dagoth Ur giving them D tier is too nice, G tier is more like it.
Now we need a video where Dagoth Ur explains the various mods to improve these factions.
The farm tools but never gets old
I think Dagoth Ur of the Sixth House would enjoy ranking new lands mods like Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, Midwood Isle, Falskaar, Wyrmstooth, and Darkend.
Keep the Skelton key to hell with the false gods
The Chad move is to keep to Skelton key until you max out tmyour lockpicking and it doesn't really matter anymore
@@NikkyElso filthy n'wah you trade with false gods no self-respecting dunmer would ever do that

@@JamestheFreak24 I personally pray for the silver hand guild mod
He needs to rank DarkEnd, it has to be one of the most fun new lands mods I’ve ever played, and there isn’t a single quest or quest marker
@@NP3GA tbh silverhand should have been a faction that you can join in normal game most of the time i skip companions cause they have 0 pros like axe is cool sure but by the time i get there my weapon is already 10 times stronger than that

@@BubbyBoy He's not wrong. At least from an immersion, lore and story telling perspective, Morrowind is miles above Skyrim. There's really no comparison.
@@jacobadam6804 weird flex, especially since I didn't ask either you or Chris.
I do like the Winterhold rewards at least.
The way he talks both in and out of character is really funny.
Like he’s both played these games while being some kind of actor in Morrowind or something. But he also speaks in-universe about characters and how he feels about them.
Its because he's achieved CHIM and realized that he's a part of a fictional universe. But now he's somehow escaped and come to our universe to be a Meme Lord.
These are gold.
Kinda want that contract tier list, ngl.
You should do a tier list on fighting styles in Skyrim

Además los 20,000 séptims son la recompensa que más hype te da, pero es solo para una quest y te sientes estafado
It didn't get MatPat's voice quite right ..
Calling Isran the “Goblin Slayer” of vampires is hilarious
Do you think Dagoth should rate the Thieves Guild lower because Karliah is related to that imperial puppet Barenziah.
Recently watched a video about how the companions questline doesnt really make much sense, regardless its still fun
5:12 figures it would take a god to say what i've been saying about the stormcloaks
daddy dagoths spitting facts
Asset. An asset is someone in your employ OR someone you manipulate. The Thalmor consider Ulfric an asset and one to use through manipulation. If you want to look at someone who might work with the Thalmor, I suspect his servant, the one that says "The Stormcloaks are finding victory across the land!" I think he's in good with them, something about him seems unsettling.

The Dark Brotherhood was so close to being great, I know its a meme that every faction makes you the leader but I feel like if Cicero was the listener instead of you it would play out better. My first time playing though I was shocked that Lucian Lechance's spirt had unique dialouge about how we shouldn't kill him. If Cicero pulled you aside and said "Night mother wants your help to bring the brotherhood back to glory!!" then Astrid barges in because she's parinoid about losing power. You don't get the full story before your next job and thats when Cicero betrays Astrid and perposely leaves his journals for you instead of forgetting them.
If you kill Cicero, Astrid still betrays you due to her parinoia ending the brotherhood of true but also the false one Astrid created but working with Cicero, getting betrayed by Astrid the false brothers (except Babette) and you rebuild the dawnstar like normal except you don't have the "Dark Drotherhood forever!" Quest constantly clogging up your quest log. The new recruits are hand selected by Cicero and they still treat you with respect as Cicero tells them you have the mother's favor even if you're not the listener.
Thank you Dagoth Ur for your faction recommendations your wisdom truly does honor the 6th House and Tribe Unmourned.
Hey, I am actually making a Dark Brotherhood plotline Breakdown. Thank you for the ideas!

Matpat Getting punk'd by Dagoth Ur... Right on
This guy put a group of sadistic murderers above the greatest empire ever on Tamriel.
Dagoth Ur is a sadist though
i recently made a kahjit werewolf named K'Tog (cat dog)
What about the Thirsk Meadhall?
How did the companions rank the highest?
Lord Dagoth, I offer the word of another who put it better than I. Edited for clarity and grammar on my part.
The Belmont honestly wouldn't be surprised if Tullius could still pull a win if he were to lose footing in all holds.
Ulfric is the one of the worst leaders - grossly incompetent, and borderline idiotic.
To think Ulfric gets captured by Tullius; a few short months after Tullius takes command at Skyrim. Tuluis was never *in* Skyrim until a few months before the last Dragonborn arrived at the border.
... just to reiterate - the Civil War had gone on for several decades before you were found.
Tullius managed to turn the war around in a few months while his predecessors didn't make much progress in years.
It would seem the only way Tullius could lose was by a world-devouring dragon intervening.
It literally takes the potential end of the world to stop General Tullius, and the only way Ulfric can pull a win against the empire and Tullius's greater leadership and skill is with a literal reincarnation of a god helping him.
Ulfric had the Thu'um - the legendary Voice of the Greybeards! ... and still got bested by Tullius, ending up on the way to the chopping block at the nearest town. In their victory, they just put a muzzle on him to not deal with that shit.
Even with all that power of the Voice, Ulfric still didn't have the wisdom to use it properly. The only fight he ever really "won" against the Empire was against a boy who had no experience in actual combat, half Ulfrics age. They called it "fair combat" after Ulfric used the power to shout him halfway across the map.
Shit's hilarious.
I have a boatload of hours in skyrim and I've never done more than take a few step into the bards college. I didnt even know it was bad I just didnt wanna be fucking bard
Now make him do a male character tier list
Bro the last Dragonborn better not just fucking disappear in the wind after the story. I hope in ES6 we learn the what happened canonically, could you imagine the Dragonborn getting up to half the shit we do?
0:55 even if dawnguard succeeds in killing all vampires molag bal will find a champion to revive what he made
not the farm tools xD
Ok 1 note on the imperial side tulius aknowledges it was a mistake
Not only is Harkon so hated that his daughter works with the Dawnguard but his wife is locked away in the realm where trapped douls go
Although that isn't entirely her fault she was stuck there. She fled there but the Masters trapped her
Hot take: The stormcloaks are the right choice, and the argument that they'll get crushed by the dominion seems valid at first, but they're recovering from the war too. A free skyrim as a thorn in the dominions side would slow down their recovery, and leave them vulnerable to resistence movements in other provinces as they send more resources and mer to Skyrim. and the empire gets to recover while this is happening.
Though the empire still could do well against the dominion if they quashed the rebellion. what's most important to the civil war is that its over quick and decisively.
Plus the dominion has to deal with the Dragonborn if they want to finish the war. And thanks to the DLCs the dragonborn can ride one dragon and can summon another undead one.
In Oblivion it can be explained away on why the empire lost even with the MC there by how he becomes the new sheogorath, but in Skyrim the dragonborn is firmly still there.
Why would the Empire just give up when 1 general was killed and they had Ulfric at the chopping block first? It sounds silly but think about it for a moment. Ulfric is losing. He was only given a chance to win because of there being Dragons. Only through the Dragonborn can he win.
The Empire won't be allowed to sit down as if the Dominion swings in and clean up this proves Mer is superior to Man. Especially since Magic is generally not accepted by most in Skyrim this puts Ulfric at a huge disadvantage while making it clear the Empire is weak.
Neither side can win because all it does is ultimately prove the Thalmor are at the top.
This would discourage other Providences.
You are a Dunmer lover but fail to mention the Redoran Guard quests to kill the morag tong or the House of Talvanni which you get to join after helping Neloth? Fail
House Telvanni betrayed House Dagoth though.
The thieves guild and the dark brotherhood were a complete joke, I don't get how we went from having the two best faction quests in Oblivion to the total shitshow that were the Skyrim questlines.
It's part of the plot. Everything was in some kind of decay. From politics to the guilds. It's like something got broken in everything after the Oblivion Crisis. It's the last dragonborn's job to try and fix things.
The best part of this video was you punching the crap out of matpat not even the tier list rankings just beating the crap out of Matpat was the best
You should do more of that Dagoth, but hey that's just a suggestion a _COMMENT_ suggestion thanks for reading

I mentioned it in my faction vidoe
Hope es6 has better, even tho we still have 20 years before its release
To be honest, I've never understood why there's such a hullabaloo about the skeleton key. Just keep it until you get the unbreakable picks perk. It really isn't that deep
Or instal mod that make lockpicking easy thing
Ulfric isn’t a that or asset, also the stormcloaks are fighting for freedom from oppressive foreign powers, and of the red guards can keep their homeland free then so can the nords, especially with the dovahkiin on their side
If the stormcloaks had less racists it they would be perfect imo
They're racist yeah but the imperials are also very elitist and racist themselves. Definitely not to the same extent mind you but play oblivion or morrowind and they keep referring to races like nords etc as barbaric and stuff like that
General Toolius is inspired, good one my n'wah
not true you can learn a lot from the College, but only if you're rich.
Really?... Really? Dark Brotherhood has b Tier with THAT last quest?
Astrid was 🔥 but then she was 🔥d .
a god not knowing ulfric is not a thalmor asset and the thalmor exlplicitly stated it would be bad for them if either side won and they're calling him an asset as the war prevents focus on them and not because he's in their direct control ? what a grand and intoxicating innocence daddy dagoth, i told you not to try the garden tool's skooma dagoth, once you try skooma, your brain will go sooner.
@MM King why would he throw them in slums ? he's never thrown anyone in slums ? the grey quarter existed for at at least 150 years before skyrim, and obviously before he was even born as an area for refugees from red mountains explosion ? and he's the jarl, if he really didn't like them he could just tell them to get lost instead of using up valuable city space or order people to kill them, it's a feudal society without voting he can do what he wants, nor is he forcing them to stay there, as niranye the high elf (who has a big house) said she's treated fine, the dark elfs are just too naive to understand how things are and continue to dwell in their slum out of pride and refuse to become part of a different culture, meaning it's more of a their fault thing my G.
so they weren't exactly thrown into slums by ulfric, they were given refugee space by a previous jarl and haven't stopped bitching they weren't given a palace for over a hundred years instead of making it better and not being friendly to the locals out of pride and subsequently people came not to trust them.
@MM King That would've been one of the best video game twists ever - Ulfric was a Manchurian Thalmor all along. He wants to chim like Dagoth and Talos. The Thalmor want the same thing. So they work together to keep Skyrim and Empire at war and weak as Ulfric and Thalmor figure out how to chim.

Dawnguard is mid however I disagree that they're fanatical; they were willing to work with a Vampire while vigilans will snuff you on sight. Karliah is a boring character, she had one cool moment (when shot you) but I did find the sepulchre quest line incredibly fun.
Mage college is just boring, sure you get access to master spells but the quests are just so boring. Imperials quest line is boring cause there's less city battles but it's the quickest one to do if you're trying to rush the main story line without doing the temporary truce. The companions was my first faction when Skyrim came out, I absolutely hate how becoming a werewolf was mandatory to finish the quest line only to have a majority of the circle cure their lycanthropy, if it wasn't for me liking Hircine I would have dropped it. Stormcloaks is more fun due to the city battles but other than that it's mid, They kill Ondolemar and I am not okay with that. Bards college....I keep forgetting it is a thing.
Dark Brotherhood really felt like a fake family, Veezara should have lived, I always let Cicero live, I'm glad there's mods that brings Veezara back.
Harkon can suck it but Volkihar had the better characters.
Astrid twitch subscribers 😂 how could you
Truly is this how I learn that Ulfric is just an ungodly Dagoth wannabe?
Glad to see some General Tullius appreciation.
Vampires are A tier. Who actually joins the lame dawnguard? What, you don’t want cool glowing eyes and immortality. Since you never die then hermeus mora won’t ever be able to get at your soul that he one day wants to collect. Plus the dragons will return one day, and your the last Dragonborn. You would want to stick around as long as possible because of that.
I just wanna state that the Thalmor Dossier calls Ulfric an "asset" but when you actually read it, they think they have control over him because they tortured some info out of him and "let" him escape. He does not work for the Thalmor they just think they can control him
Yes, I am aware
@@ZakeandZach just putting it out there because a lot of people hear he is a thalmor asset and run with it
Yes, he is more of a “useful” idiot. Aka he started a civil war at the worst possible time, and thus weakens the empire. Though he’s so incompetent that he does come off as if he’s willingly running Skyrim into the ground, perhaps on someone’s behalf…

DB should be having a faction since they did a lot of both decent and less reputable work only to pick the mongrel dogs of the empire or help limp barbarians (also remember who's undead can literally go toe-to-toe with PC 😂).
If you're still concerned at how the Windhelm Dunmer are treated, read the in-game book Dunmer of Skyrim. Penned by the very hand of a Windhelm Dark Elf. It's enlightening regarding what they actually want, as well as what they deserve.
Just looked it up, must be written by a member of Morrowind's Morag 4chan
@@BryanVonFriently Yeah. It's a great way to start a discussion about how minorities can cause harm irl, but it's also a great reason to join the Stormcloaks. Besides, why would the Nords owe the Dunmer anything in the first place? Proximity?
@@danielbob2628 what the Nords owe the Dunmer? Everything. And why? Because they exist. Dagoth Ur's views on the Empire and outsiders are shared by most other great houses that aren't Hlaalu. Just like the Aldmeri Dominion their reason for claiming the right to everything around them is because they are their race and it is superiour to all others and by right of superiority they can take everything they want from all outsiders because they are outsiders and Dunmer are Dunmer and therefor better.
Which technically yes we can recognize as happening in certain parts of the world irl indeed
But honestly the stormcloaks should have treated the dark elves well and turned them against the empire make them “fight for their new home” as it were
Start some propaganda “where was the empire when black mountain erupted?”
“Which jarl opened their city gates?”
“The empire suppressed your traditions your very way of life”
Make the dark elves think the rebellion is their only option for long term survival now you’ve got an actually smart/interesting faction maybe even have a little schism amongst the rebels between those who believe “skyrim belongs to the nords”
and those who think
“anyone who fights for skyrim deserves to live in it”
As for after the war who knows maybe ulfric turns his back on the elves or maybe he gives them markarth cause that place sucks and the reach men are a pain, but atleast they could use the caves for their bug eggs
