Absolutely spot on. We're having a bad patch due to a heavy injury list which leads to hedging to play others who are not ready, not fully fit or need resting. It sleek means that when other teams sense you are weaker than usual they will have a go rather then sit back, so it all adds up to the perfect storm. But it's a bad spell, well be back. Now Phil has his first goal it should give him a boost and besides it can't get any worse. We'll probably bring in a couple of loan signings in January to shore things up and we have more money than anybody else to spend in the summer, I guarantee this club will have something planned.
Need to drop Gundogan and just play O' Reilly in midfield. Ake also played there for Chelsea and Holland. Also need to keep faith in Savinho. Playing both Bernado and Grealish outside = no pace.
I think a huge problem which is not spoken about enough is Pep‘s coaching team. Since the begining of last season when Rodolfo left as his assistent and Juanma Lilo joined City struggeled a lot. Before that in the 22/23 season with Rodolfo, the tactics and were on point, City were winning a lot of games comfortably even against the biggest teams like Arsenal, Bayern, Real etc. etc. These people around Pep are utterly dogshit and dont have a clue how to turn things around. I think even the Physios are bad, seems like every week someone new gets injured at City, something doesnt seem right.
Exactly my thoughts! Do we even have set pieces coach? Goal keepers trainer? Every department sucks at this point. Peps technical bench should be replaced alongside some aged players.
i was thinking about this too, especially juanma lilo that guy u can see he really offer nothing to pep, and this exposed that day pep was absent in one match...the team totally shift and act different we won a narrow win with big help of pep on a telephone
Totally agree Jonny. The "Pep out" brigade are only adding to the problem. ARE YOU A MANCHESTER CITY FAN? YES? WELL PROVE IT. IT'S EASY TO SUPPORT A WINNING TEAM. GUESS WHAT? YOU HAVE TO ALSO BE THERE WHEN THINGS GO BELLY UP. FED UP WITH ALL THE NEGATIVE BS. LOVE CITY- LOVE LIFE. BLUEMOON PHIL.
I think some of the youngsters should be given playing time … they’d be up for the challenge and maybe inspire the older more experienced players to return to winning ways!
pep is for sure overthinking it but I couldn't blame him for this dllemma. Remember when fans "screaming" asked nunes to give his part on starting lineup? we already knew how he feels about nunes before this and when he started to give the spot things started to falling again nunes did so many crucial errors even after had good performances, he's not our level. The dilemma is the same in context of academy players...what Pep needs it guaranteed win, and I believe Pep can't see it in our academy players rn, given the tight situation. But personally I'd take the gamble, just subbed oldies like gundo, walker, and bernardo and see what happens, I mean if things keep getting this way better just gamble on youngster BUT that's not how Pep thinks and I can understand where he came from, it's just not easy
I want Pep to stay but dreadful decisions have been made over the buying and selling of players. Also Pep needs to adapt the style of play to suit the ability of the players at his disposal. I miss the movement and quick passing that City played 2 seasons ago. Squad is also ludicrously small in an ultra competitive league. Newcastle’s first goal yesterday was a long kick from the keeper. City used to do that but now we just keep passing for passing’s sake. As soon as it was realised that Phillips wasn’t good enough, another effective CDM should have been signed
We started the season pretty well until injuries came knocking, these players are legends no doubt but my worries is, why can't Pep give our academy opportunity after seeing what's happening with the senior players
Exactly, remember 2 seasons ago when he said "Academy is ready" in the dressing room following the defeat against Saints in the league cup and we're now on a very bad form, that's maybe doable but he's the GOAT manager he'll give the decision
Because if you throw kids into a bad situation it can have a really bad effect on them that some will struggle to recover from. We're not doing a huge amount erring, we still have had more shots on goal than any other club this season and had more possession in just about every match, but apart from Haaland nobody is scoring and we're struggling in midfield, leaving the defence wide open. But the stats prove we're not far off. Let's see what happens in the January window; I predict a couple of loan signings to shore things up a bit, ahead of a few new faces in the summer.
City players need to check today's game for Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool the way we're fighting till the end of the game, spirit, physicality en mental positivity coz even if spurs lost the game bt positivity its all they need city players
To me the biggest issue with this team has nothing to do with tactics and strategy. It’s a simple desire/attitude issue. When we dominate it’s because we do two things exceptionally well. The first is our relentless pressing and the second is when we lose the ball, there are 3-4 players ready to get the ball back. The last two months we have seen neither of these things and it’s lead us to be complete overrun in the midfield and back. This could be a combinations of factors as to why this is happening and I think all of the following has contributed. We are old in midfield, our injuries have played a factor and I think a lot of the desire to put in a shift is not there. Whether that be due to complacency or age issues or health issues, I don’t know. I just know that what I’m seeing pales in comparison to what we used to do so well
The two biggest mistakes were letting Palmer leave (we wouldn’t have needed to bring Gundo back) and allowing Nicolas Jover (set piece coach, defence and attack) to leave and join Arsenal
Jack had their fullback in his pocket for the whole of the first half forcing a substitution from Villa early in the game. That look of expectation from Jack, and consequent disappointment unfortunately, when Josko headed the ball over the bar showed a total commitment to the badge. How Phil showed great determination to get to the ball and score, despite having to ricochet like a pinball through four defenders, was full of heart. The spirit is there. It will all start to click again very soon an some team, like the seasons we used to have, is gonna take a thrashing. In that, I'm with you all the way! ...Not really here.
I am blue, the blues, the citizen, the blue moon, 💙 the blue sky 💙 I will go down with the city and stand up with it. I am after the club citizens.❤❤❤❤❤
Pep has changed the footbal game in the world.Fans of the rival teams are delighted because City is doing poorly, that is temporary and will not change history.
If he walks, I don’t care what he has done for this club..😢 He will have lost my respect, if he got fired then I’ll still care about him, but if he walks then.. ( btw I’m saying this at the beginning at the video )
What we are going through now is not nice at all. But we need to stay positive and support our team! Pep and Man City gave us great joy the last decade. So let's keep on supporting our team through this temporary slump. City for Eva!!!
The players should be playing their hearts out for their adoring fans. Our wingers need to try taking on the full backs and getting to the touch line to cross for Haaland. Midfield is slow and devoid of inventive attacking ideas. Half the team cannot compete with the youth and exuberance of opposition teams. We really do need more shots from outside the box. Players are shadows of their former selves unfortunately.
One bad season after breaking records including four in a row. We should just take it on the chin and get ourselves set for 25/26 and come back stronger. If you want a laugh go and watch the obsessed toxic Goldbridge, deary me.
@johndoe-nh9sh Well said. I couldn't agree more. It's football for goodness sake - promotion, relegation. Good times, bad times. No one team is at the very top forever. Wishing you a VERY Happy Christmas. BLUEMOON PHIL. (Yes, it's someone else's phone!) 😂😂
Well said!! After everything Pep and the players did for us fans the past 9 years, they have earned our trust and respect. We will get through this slump together
Will always love and support man city no matter what. We cant be invincible forever. Its time for Pep to get to work and figure things out. Im sure he can. We need alot of changes, and have a ton of injuries. Losing these games will hopefully put the team back into the hungry zone.
We hsve bern succesful for almost a decade and Pep's style of play is the manual/default most teams are.using to practice for their next game.Pep must change his style.and some old players.Pep is the best manager/coach the footbal game has produced.
People think that having one season without finishing top 4 isn't no big deal.... Well just look at what's going on at yoonited. City have to get a top 4 finish, otherwise if they don't, then this could stop players coming to the club. A top 4 finish is a must.
Pep too smart. He signed that extension so he could get a bigger pay off when they let him go. Pep and the players now know the FFP case is not gonna end well and it's a matter of time before he's no longer at City - cause if it's relegation or a huge pints deduction, he's not gonna stick around and his agent will get him out with a pay off. Pep has secured the bag and is waiting for the sack or the outcome of the case to create a situation where he has reason to walk.
City should start the rebuild by playing the youngsters on bench to see what is there, regardless of the result, for the next few games. Then mix in the best players with them to start forming a first team. Jan buy what is needed, sell what is needed to go.
Why do people think that in January everything is going to change due to spending millions? For one city might not buy anyone and even if we do buy one or two players nothing is guaranteed that things will change for the better .
It won’t be a big change but it could be better. City need #6 and full right & left back plus striker and centre defence. I don’t think all these will happen in January. City management n Pep are paying the price for not signing new players last summer
If someone said its quite hot today and you said its not that hot really... Do you have a fight? Of course not. It's just opinions. Don't let someone else's opinion upset you. If it does, then you've lost.
I'm not too worried after all the success we've had over the last 8 years entitled to a bit of a bad run! Pep will eventually get it sorted if not for this season? For next season so cheer up and merry Christmas 🥳 and look forward to a new year man city fans🎉
It's all about opinions. Some people think pep should go and some people think pep should stay. Nobody is right and nobody is wrong. It's just opinions.
No way pep is leaving . It’s injury crisis that’s been a headache and poor performance from the oldies . Pep is stubborn I would say not playing some jr players like doku , savinho , nico . He is keep backing Bernardo , gundo , walker for whole game
No, if Pep were to walk now , his legacy would be tainted .... And that for Pep will be "no no". Obviously there is trouble, and Pep (and Hugo Viana ) will have to take tough decisions at the end of the season.
I will say again....NOTHING, NOTHING WILLING STOP ME SUPPORTING CITY. I have supported them when we were in the old 2nd division and I ain't gonna stop now. Pep is a unique genius and I sincerely hope he stays. The current run of form had to happen at some point as we are in a transitional period. LOVE CITY. LOVE PEP. CTID!
Just a heads up if we buy players in January and come out better than what we are going through now, it does not help peps managerial career either. The current criticism about how pep only manages the best and has open check books will become even stronger if we get out of this mess by buying players.
I think with what pep has done for City over the years he should get a free pass no matter what happens this season. The media are obviously loving it but as they say “ Form is temporary and class is permanent “ City will bounce back even if it’s next season with a fresher squad..
Pep is the greatest tactician in football , he just let his heart to betray his mind this time, he couldn't let go some of his favorite players go and the team aged.
Guys please stop the madness. Understand this transition period and hope Pep stays for the rebuild because he is the best living manager on the face of the earth. Have been watching Soccer for 45 years and he is hands down the best to ever do it. We need couple of midfield players with physicality and a replacement for Kyle walker and we will be good. Players are making huge mistakes that under 15 should not do.
He should leave because he’s not willing to try something different. High line definitely not working. Pep has proven that he can only play and win one way
@@DJHypro I completely understand but start the team with better wingers in Doku & Savinho and if they are not playing well than bring in Grealish or Silva as winger. Grealish should be playing instead of Gundo to give some more stability at the midfield. I know the horrible mistake made by Nunez, but he in midfield can still provide assists & goals. Injuries can happen but that’s Pep’s & management responsibility to get proper replacements. See Liverpool & Chelsea. They have perfect substitutions. Any player can come & replace other.
Hope Pep doesn’t leave, but he’s making it so much more difficult for himself not adapting his setup to the players he has instead of the ones he wants (injured players back). Def NOT Pep out. But he certainly deserves some accountability, from his refusal to adapt his system to the players he has to constantly saying he wants his players back (what kind of message does that send to his current available players?) to his poor decision making with transfers letting players go abs bringing in subpar ones as replacements (Txiki and board too but Pep certainly has input in it) to some of his crazy remonstrations on sideline (negative body language def translates to the players). Remember, by default, he is the leader of the whole team and the things he says and does all have equally positive and negative effects on the players. All I’m saying is, Pep could def be handling this a lot better than he is. But you have to take the rough with the smooth. I’m Pep in, but I think he needs a serious pep talk
If city fails to produce against Everton (say lose) then Pep must go. He's a great manager, but manchester city is a great club too. A line has to be drawn. In any other major club, he'd be gone.
Would Chilwell be a good addition? He can play left back whilst the Croatian Mangala can be moved to centre back. Player availability and price is going to be very challenging in January
Not a cat in hells chance he will be sacked and he will not walk... Pep will want to show he can resolve this, it is the first time in his managerial career he has a problem to solve... he will solve it... In Pep we trust and CTID since 76...
We know Pep has achieved alot so its time to move out of the club en bring Young players bt if he continues playing the same squad then no win till the end of the season
I can see how why we can't win lately with our style of play, the style that won us A Lot & got us so spoiled, then again who wouldn't be spoiled and the envy of the world? Age & injuries have played a huge part too, so what is the solution??? I love Pep, he's the best ever, I'll believe this till I die,,,, I just wish he'd have a plan B, tinker a bit with the style, according to what's available! The other thing, when some players are lacking confidence, not performing at the level we've seen them at, why stick with them??? Why not use another young sub?? Surely some deserve a chance, just like Lewis & Nunes. Many big clubs, when in crisis, they field 17 & 18 year olds, why do we have to wait till kingdom come?? I hope this will be the final beaching from me in 2024 & things will fet better in 2025 & at least get a spot in the top four. Mark Goldbeach can eat shiza now! He cried & cried how City was gonna win tge league for the next 10 years. What an eejit that Manure fan is.
TBH am tired of CIty winning the league. This season lets focus on the UCL. And our players will be more motivated when we are not chasing another major silver ware. I hope other city fans agree
No matter what pep does he’s changed our club.. I’ll say it again tho, me.. a random, has more of a chance being sacked at Man City than pep 😅 pep will NEVER be sacked but him leaving on his own might be different.
I personally don't think he's going nowhere mate. He wouldn't leave his legacy like this, also any city fan who think it's a good idea for him to step aside are slightly panicking which is understandable but, there's not a man in world football I'd rather have in charge during a period like this (Which will pass). Think about how shit ten Haag was and how desperate city fans were for him to stay at united, it's a big tell that we're so shit right now and rival fans and media are still desperately pushing for pep to leave. Have a think about why that is! They know we will come good eventually... Ps. united are shit!
Nothing will ever make me stop supporting City. Everybody get behind the team and STOP MOANING. COME ON WE ARE CITY!❤❤❤❤❤BLUEMOON PHIL

I think with what pep has done for City over the years he should get a free pass no matter what happens this season. The media are obviously loving it but as they say “ Form is temporary and class is permanent “ City will bounce back even if it’s next season with a fresher squad..
Part of Pep’s job is find an away to motivate the players.
Big up to Johnny you are the best brul this channel is positive thing if you are man city supporter ❤❤❤
Better to be sacked than to walk. He will lose everyone's respect.
Pep is the greatest tactician in football , he just let his heart to betray his mind this time, he couldn't let go some of his favorite players go and the team aged.
He ain't.
Pep has proven that he can only play and win one way
I agree. He needs to stop playing high line & poor selection of team….. again and again
Pep is going no where he is here to correct his mistakes if are there. Pep must not leave.
@@thakanemaelane4844 well he gonna continue losing
@@hitendersoni2011 he doesn’t have a large squad. He can’t use the same players every match cause they might get injured
No choice if he's lost the dressing room.
Completely agree. Well said
Whatever happens, we’ll be there. The lads need to step up though, from Pep to Simpson-Pusey.
It’s obviously the 115 charges . Haalands agent is getting his next big deal ready. 😂😂
If city fails to produce against Everton (say lose) then Pep must go.
He's a great manager, but manchester city is a great club too. A line has to be drawn. In any other major club, he'd be gone.
Everton drew with chelski today. They will beat city.
If Pep cannot find an answer to the problem with the club then he should man up and leave.
Not an earthly would he walk as the owners have asked him to create a younger team
In Pep we trust! Give the man his much needed revamp
😂
It doesn't work like that.
I said in a live last week that Football365 had already reported he was going to walk
Would Chilwell be a good addition? He can play left back whilst the Croatian Mangala can be moved to centre back. Player availability and price is going to be very challenging in January
Personally we need some big, strong, young & aggressive players who are technically strong & ready to fight .
@ A young Yaya
Excellent vlog. I am glad you and your channel is around. Well said. Thank you Johnny.
Much appreciated mate
@eggimal yes good level headed vlog but there is a bit of confusion on the field created by Pep, confusing the hell out of all fans.
The fact that goldfish wants Pep out should tell you how much we should back him now.
Nuh mate, you cannot blame the scouting team; neither can you blame Khaldoon.
Said ….Come on City ✊
Pep doesn’t walk until he wins the league again. Itl itch his brain forever if he doesn’t end on a high note
He will get it right
Not a cat in hells chance he will be sacked and he will not walk... Pep will want to show he can resolve this, it is the first time in his managerial career he has a problem to solve... he will solve it... In Pep we trust and CTID since 76...
130 pal. Keep up.
We know Pep has achieved alot so its time to move out of the club en bring Young players bt if he continues playing the same squad then no win till the end of the season
Pep must go he's lost the dressing room
Pep must not go. I support him, he did a lot for the blues 💙 broke many records 💙
Get a bloody grip. He's not losing it, you are.
130* charges now 😂
This too will pass, CITY FAN FOR LIFE COME ON BLUES.
WHAT A HORRIBLE THING TO SAY
👍👍
I don't think it's psychological, I think they're making his bed
TypicL City riding Pep so hard😂😂 . He blames everyone but Pep.
United's next 4 fixtures...
wolves away...
newcastle home...
liverpool away...
arsenal away...
Oh dear...
😂
PEP is not going anywhere
I have a beef with rico lewis, someone please explain what does he even do.
TBH am tired of CIty winning the league. This season lets focus on the UCL. And our players will be more motivated when we are not chasing another major silver ware. I hope other city fans agree
Never get tired of watching city winning trophies
Sack him
Support him instead of sacking him. I have ❤ for him
“Leave the football before the football leaves you.”
Applies to Walker and Gundogan. Maybe even Stones now he’s always injured. Bernardo a bit slow now; what’s happened to his ‘chewing gum’ dribbles?
No matter what pep does he’s changed our club.. I’ll say it again tho, me.. a random, has more of a chance being sacked at Man City than pep 😅 pep will NEVER be sacked but him leaving on his own might be different.
He didn't change our club.
Without the money from Sheikh Mansour pep wouldn't be at the club.
The change of fortune is down to Mansour not pep.
50 changes ????? With the same players stupse ...
Well Fuc☆ing said 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Pep go nowhere. Spent nothing on summer and want a good result?
Are you then agreeing to the assertions that Pep is a chequebook manager?
@@mutondukalota6098 Do you mean that trophy can be achieved by just effort?
I personally don't think he's going nowhere mate. He wouldn't leave his legacy like this, also any city fan who think it's a good idea for him to step aside are slightly panicking which is understandable but, there's not a man in world football I'd rather have in charge during a period like this (Which will pass). Think about how shit ten Haag was and how desperate city fans were for him to stay at united, it's a big tell that we're so shit right now and rival fans and media are still desperately pushing for pep to leave. Have a think about why that is! They know we will come good eventually... Ps. united are shit!
You might be in for a shock
@@MAN_CITY-four_in_a_row you know something we don't?
