my laptop has no mic/speaker input so i'm using an adaptor for it (white audio to usb converter). No you cannot use the mic and speaker separately only single device this headphone can be connected. if you have the y adaptor it only enables the microphone. otherwise the cable that came with the box only works as a headset no mic.
Nope, when yours came with a splitter you haven´t bought the "p"-version.So I also think it´s not really a "con" cause in case of the headset in this video, you simply have bought the "wrong" version for your needs. There IS a splitter in the package of the model-version without the "P" :-)
