After blizzcon last week, yeah blizzard is what arthas describes. No mention at all of w3 and the outsourced model team and classic team were laid off. They put little budget and effort into the game and when it did bad they just threw it under the rug and pretend it doesn't exist

Watching this again makes me think.. man blizzard in 2002 really created amazing content. The cinematic and story telling is still better than most games produced today

A fun fact about the throne room, in retail WoW, if you turn off the soundtrack and turn up the ambient sound settings and go to the Undercity and the throne room, you can hear the bells, and if you look on the path there are still rose petals, as well as a splatter of blood where King Terenas's crown fell. You can also hear whispers and bits and pieces of dialogue as well

@@captainflowers748 how so? Even fanmade textures are far better than this crap. Game is unbalanced and they've ruined experience for those who don't need that reforged version. Check out moddb and see it yourself. It's not only someone's opinion. It's a fact.
They put a lot of effort into redoing the character models and backgrounds, but they didn’t put as much effort into redoing the cinematics or using new voice actors.

It's not only that...
There is no need for careful observations to realize all the sloppy work that reforged has done...
- All those teleports when a person appears almost without effects, without any gradual transparency within half a second like ctrl+v. Medivh transforming himself into the raven is not accompanied by any effect - he just suddenly becomes a raven... Very "thorough" work, Blizzard. Is this the wonder that you were preparing us for?
- All those terrible faces in the little portrait window. All those lifeless expressions without enthusiasm, emotions, feelings, anything. Just faces that barely even move. (One example for all: Jaina Proudmoore... Oh, poor Jaina, what have they done to you? In that little window, you look like you are on drugs.)
- Some cutscenes got pretty messed up too. They are no longer well-made, their cinematic feel got lost. The background of many conversations is dull in comparison to the original Warcraft III.
- One more thing that might be little, but shows some more sloppiness: Why did you decide to put the new Furion model (riding on the deer) to the Reign of Chaos part? Come on!!! In the Reign of Chaos, Furion was standing on foot. (And I think that the main reason why he started riding the deer later was the fact that night elves lost their immortality after they defeated Archimonde - Furion just got older, so he preferred riding a deer later. This is only my idea, though.)
- And last but not least: If you make any maps in the Warcraft III editor, those maps no longer belong to you as the creator. No appreciation for your work from Blizzard, just a spit in the face. THIS ONE makes me especially mad because I used to create huge maps, even scripting them and downloading other models and icons with passion, putting it all together and making new storylines and ideas. Just creating in the editor was so much fun! But now? I will not even touch the editor in the reforged version. If I ever get to the Warcraft III editor again, I will do it in the old version and preferably with a cracked Warcraft III so that I know that the maps I create are truly mine... I will not share them with stupid, sloppy Blizzard of today that apparently lacks the same passion that the company used to have back then in 2002.

the 2003 animation was more expresive that this 2020 remake
I watched both and I saw no... besides the Arthas vs Illidan scene, the Reforged seems... clanky and stiff animations. The original didn't had that "stiffness" and it felt much more natural mainly it doesn't look photorealistic. The more realism in the cutscene made it off.
@@captainflowers748 no, he's right.Reforged was made with a rather small budget and was actually outsourced to another company and was intended to be a quick cashgrab. Funny how that turned out.
I prefer this kind of animation, but I’m disappointed that the cinematics didn’t get remastered and the old voice actors are still used.

This game is like the hi res graphics button you would press in the graphics settings of the original game to get slightly better graphics but a jerkier experience. More added but the sum is less.

The Orc campaign was probably my favorite. It was pretty cool as a kid who started with Warcraft 2 seeing a new side to the Orcs, not all of them were evil.
Thrall and his followers seeking a new home to build a new future was pretty touching.

@@zach942 making ridiculous arguements based on vastly understating what hapepned is a fools game. These werent just wisps, these were hundreds of thousands of ancient spirits of nature. He was absorbing the power of the world tree when it and the spirits basically unleashed their fury by detonating what he absorbed along with the reserves of his own power he had blended it with.
He didnt burn worlds alone. The entire last mission was three whole armies just buying time to unleash this trap.

Yeah, and when Kael’Thas was caught by Lord Garithos consorting with the naga, the old version showed Lady Vashj’s face as Kael was being captured, but this version just shows her leaving from a birds eye view

Altogether it's a movie after all. Tragedy, ambition turned to madness, it's got all it needs. As I said it's already a movie in itself with your own hand to direct the forces of destiny.

For those who don't know the dark lord is nerzhul, yes the nerzhul from warlords of draenor, he was tricked by the burning legion when kiljaden spoke to him through his dead wife. He realized what happened and made a portal to northrend. Kiljaden ripped his body from his soul because nerzhul was to powerful not many can resist the burning legion. He bound him to be the lich king. Over time nerzhul started to be able to overpower it and he started seeking someone me he could bound himself to. Enter arthas. Arthas is only the lich king in that he can move around and do things but nerzhul was always the actual lich king.
Warcraft 3 is the one best part for me... Its storyline has connection until shadowlines 😁 i hope theywill make it a movie trilogy

Damn! This series is very astonishing and is extremely great to listen to with! It feels better than any ASMR with special effects.
Well ASMR is supposed to help get asleep but this stuff is too stirring and tense to have the same effect.
