Finally get to see LSV pilot a blue deck in cube!

At the start of every draft you can hear the dark side of LSV slowly drifting more and more towards storm before he suddenly snaps back to reality and makes the safer pick.

Yeah picking Golos over Karnfather was a weird one. The latter can win games by itself whereas Golos can't.
@@chenwin5 Ummmm....I've seen LSV win off just Golos on these vintage drafts a lot. Nothing going on activate Golos win.

Last game was really impressive from the perspective of holding on, keep trying and win by an inch. I really like your streams. I feel I can learn a lot from just listening to your reflections.

That last game was insane
2 tutors and 2 flashback effects means ancestral recall got to be cast, twice, almost every game. So awesome.

At 35:40, i think it would have been the best line and ultimate bm to Gearhulk Kologhans Command in draw step.. but the game was already won at that point ofcourse.

Repeal seemed like an easy cut in the third match when you were doing the red pivot after game one.
Missed out on Through the Breach > Badlands > Blightsteel > Corpse Dance > Putrid Imp. That deck was sooo open.

I feel like lsv dismissed nicol-bolas at 6:40 without giving it a second thought but this deck actually seems like a good nicol bolas deck. Leaning into black especially with those black lands and the ramp he has, dimir signet, is in the colors of nicol bolas

40:52 if afraid of Narset wheel isn't K command their mox a good option? Only way they could pull that combo off next turn would be top deck ritual that nets at least 2 mana. Also lets you think first and gets some problematic card out of their hand. Also lets you flip thing next turn
In P1P3, say you drafted a High Tide the pick before, do you take Frantic Search over Demonic Tutor at that point?
I'd probably still tutor but it's pretty close at that point, could see going either way

Concession to jeskai player in response to wheel seemed premature. Yes you're behind on board, but you're not mana screwed, you're getting a fresh 7, and you're at 15 life. Why not play that out? It's exciting to me to see how great players navigate from a bad position.
1:16:05 what you do is play snapcaster, target ancestral, let mind twist resolve, draw 3 cards, and plan to kill them with explosion. Did you not see the ancestral in the bin?

Don’t EVER take thing in the ice. Not because it is bad, but because YOU think it is bad. So you will literally never play it when you should. Just a waste of a pick and a spot whenever it is in your deck.

Wow, I guess me and LSV are just sooo different people when it comes to draft. I've VERY much just tempo and midrange aggro and card advantage, I LOVEE me some Grixis mid-range aggro. For example, he just kept passing on cards like Bitterblossom, Flametongue Kavu, Nekrataal, etc. actually the only one I really agreed on was Baleful Strix, but yeah.... it's just weird, 'cause 3/4 through his draft and I'm looking at it his deck so far, puzzled, like "ok... you have virtually no removal, no board sweeps... you have like 1 finisher, potentially... how tf are you gonna' win again?" 90% of his cards were just tutors, mana fixers, a counter, and draw, I'm just so confused... how the hell is any of that better than dropping a turn 2 bitterblossom, throwing a Jitte on it and just riding that to victory. I dunno, maybe vintage is a little different but I've played Legacy since the mid-2000's and it's so weird and backwards how he drafts for one playstyle of deck and just hopes to pull a wincon out of his ass at the very end (and scarily usually gets away with it), what would you do if you pass every good creature/walker and get to the end of the draft and you have nothing with meat on it to win the game?
the strategies youre describing are more effective in modern or legacy cube, because in vintage cube you'll get overpowered by combo finishes if you don't have a lot of counters or disruption

personally watching a deck just counter EVERYTHING someone plays is boring. Dislike control decks in EDH too, no fun to not be able to play anything, though i guess in draft if it works it works.
I was optimistic when you picked mind twist, and then you turned back into LSV and just picked the same boring red and blue cards you do every draft.
"Theres something clean about...blah blah blah" you picked boring cards and turned my excitement at a new video into instant boredom and resignation. If I wanted to watch legacy delver videos that's what I would go do.
