@@louismaciver8262 Copy effects are Layer 1, whereas Losing/Gaining abilities is layer 6. Copying usually doesn't care about other stuff done to the creature afterwards, so in this case LSV would get the full 8/8 Flying Atarka with the ETB effect.

Even despite the audio issues this for me is one of the all time great cube videos. It had really diverse matchups, a very interesting drafting portion, and close, intense games. I also just love me a good Recurring Nightmare/Survival deck.

Nooo. Opponent played so well in match 2 until that Survival name with Revoker. I actually was really impressed with their heads up plays up to that point.
I appreciate that the further from his standard strategy he deviates, the more the titles change from the standard. Who knows what the title will be when he drafts mono white?

My favorite thing about watching LSV is when he starts explaining pitfalls and errors before the opponent even makes them. "they are going to gain 7 and go get a creature but the thing is they have to play the creature they get or Lili will eat it." *opponent proceeds to get a creature they can't play and realizes their mistake and concedes* There is just so much power in understanding all angles of a game of magic that can happen. I remember teaching someone about the logic of not playing around something you can't beat anyways. He had made (or well didn't make a play) trying to play around counterspell, but if I had a counterspell he was going to be in a garbage spot where as if I didn't have it he actually had a chance. Good players just make the opponent have the perfect counters. Poor players try to play around plays they can't beat anyways. God players make plays knowing your hand based on decision you did or didn't make and essentially know your hand at all times anyways.
I'm surprised coercive portal was never really on the chopping block for making initial cuts. It's a great card but doesn't really seem to fit the theme or synergies of the deck for me. Sweet deck anyway! Love watching you draft and play.

match 2 round 1 you should have tutored for oko since your only blue source was in your hand. If they wheel it's a dead card out of your deck, if they don't wheel you get an oko
Eternal Witness (and Recurring Nightmare) actually makes losing the only other blue source not as painful as it seems for Oko. It's still a valid choice, though.
At 1:01:00, would a better play have been to use Recurring Nightmare, sac the Woodfall Primus to get back Metamorph, Metamorph chooses Woodfall Primus. Then you can Nightmare, sac the Metamorph Primus to get back Ravenous Chupacabra, and have the Metamorph persist as a Frost Titan or Dragonlord Atarka? Love watching your cube drafts LSV. Also love it when you sideboard cards into Gaby's drafts when she leaves the room. How can she still trust you enough to not check it?

At 1:03:34, why not Survival for Gonti? It has a (low, admittedly) chance of winning, if you hit Time Walk or Animate Dead, and even if you don't you get some extra information heading into the next game.
I’m a little confused as to why you rate Coercive Portal so highly and Phyrexian Arena so low (in a previous draft you advised against ever taking it). I can’t believe the life loss is THAT much of a dealbreaker in Vintage cube? I grant Portal has artifact synergies and could be a better pick overall, but surely its not that one is unplayable and the other is great.
i think life matters quite significantly against many decks (its vintage cube but you do face creatures most rounds), but i think in formats like these, with so many playables, it is important to be attentive to cards with SB potential, and arena is one of those. keep in mind that arena turn 3 could cost you like 6 life over a game... that is a lot for a maindeck card.
For someone who hates phyrexian arena as much as you do, I always find it interesting when you jump on portal so hard. I get that it’s slightly better in some ways

No, Metamorph will copy the printed text of what it's copying (plus any other copy effects, but no other ones are applicable here). Oko's changes are type, ability, and p/t changes, which are further down in the layers systems and so are not part of the copied information.
Hindsight is 20/20 but I cant help but wondering how M3G1 would have went if you metamorphed the Primeval Titan rather than discarding it. Going up two extra lands would have opened up a lot of plays.

Portal is colorless so it slides into any deck. Colorless cards are at a high priority pick for everyone at the table you you must take them early.

Around 1:01:50 you can't copy Atarka, because there is only Elk. So copying the Frost Titan is fine.

re-ocurring nightmare survival deck :); looks a lot like many of my legacy and EDH decks cuz I love reanimator/ graveyard strategies.

M3G2 I am honestly shocked DT for Mox Diamond wasnt the play. Oko can take care of the tree speaker if they want to dump mana into it.
