I have two 2.0’s. The one I drive has a tamiya Porsche body, carbon, etc. all the bells and whistles. The other was a trade so it was a little clapped but I dialed it in and left it stock besides a radio and gyro. That my loaner. Both great from my noob perspective. No tracks around me so my basement and these videos are all I got to figure it out. Haha
Good comparison Video. I have 2 RMX 2.0 (NSX & S15) and luckily Have no Problems and very happy with the 2.0 …I Purchased 2 RMX 2.5 for Labor Day Sale(Mustang & BMW) I received the BMW yesterday, waiting for the Mustang…I Switched to a higher motor mount and Will be drifting for the first time on the Track hopefully on Friday…
Great synopsis of my personal journey from MST to another brand! Great review of the latest great rtr from MST… but none of us like to wait when there are other options.
Iv got the 2.0, spent a fair bit on it now but i like it. Has the ball diff and gearbox upgrade, titanium turnbuckles, tr60 shocks, carbon deck, hobbywing xd10 pro and 10.5t D10 motor, onisiki servo and gyro and just recently got a sanwa mt-r radio, slides pretty well now
Great video! I just order the MST RMX- S builders kit. I am excited to learn the dance of the slide! The "S" kit will allow me to choose between the 2.5 being set up as the rmx or rrx.
Great success! One tip...if you see spare parts for sale anywhere...GRAB THEM! cuz by the time u check again they will probably be gone lol MST parts are hard to come by these days (we still don't know why)
I changed the radio and the steering servo on my 2.5. Then I built a rd1.0 and recently got a redcat to play with. I keep the mst to have friends drive when we go out.
As someone looking to buy a chassis kit (RMX2.5S) and build one myself, do you still recommend them with the parts availability issue? Or would you recommend something else that parts are more readily available?
I can no longer recommend MST chassis due to their customer treatment and parts availability being globally terrible. I would recommend anything else at this point. The Reve-D RDX or the Yokomo RD 2.0 are hot fire right now :D
Always been into drifting, i drift real cars, always wanted to try RC drifting but could never find a RTR rc car that wouldnt be a preassembled build from someone else for like 1000 moneys. Just bought myself a RMX 2.5, still waiting for it in the mail, question im asking is, noone is talking about brushed/brushless options, i opted for brushed since it was alot cheaper and i yet have to understand what the hobby is about, do you think that theres a huge difference ?
Yes the brushed version vs the brushless version is a huge difference, mainly with wheel speed. The brushed motor tops out way to quickly and thus makes it more difficult to hold drifts for long times or even achieve big angle. It is easily upgarded though. The RMX 2.5 platform is a great start into RC drifting, if you find you like it then look into Yokomo or Reve-D cars next :D
Yea i have tried it out already a couple times, its great, I'm having some trouble with the stock radio that comes with the RTR kit and the motor speed as you said, for everything else it seems solid!
mst and out of stock go together like bread and butter. the rmx is amazing but the lack of parts and support made me go with the yd2. i miss the old swaggy VIP mst, not this out of stock only red color mst :(
im in the market for a drift car, im just curious if the parts are still hard to get? this will be my first drifter so im expecting to break some parts while learning how to do it
These are still available but MST parts availability is currently terrible. You will be better off with Yokomo or Reve-D for cars with good parts support.
Mine eventually died but only after I hit the wall hard a few times. I was able to get a lot of life out of it by staying off the walls lol It's the first thing most people upgrade.
Hello 👋🏾 from Montréal Québec it in Canada 🇨🇦 I buy a 2.0 one month a go I change the servo it was getting slow to a yokomo V2 it gat way better I gat better in drifting change to a use motor esc for more power more power those not megne better drifting kipe hitting the walls faster adding light 💡 kit mayde the car 🚙 more real am going to install a spiker for engine soon and horn like The Ducs of Haserd conty ✌🏾
Bouta buy this 2.5 🔥. But honestly not to rant here but the weather bro!!! 🥵 65-70 degrees in md just outside dc on November 17th!?!? Crazy… politics aside I honestly think global warming is worse than they are letting on and we just don’t have a clue how rapidly things will escalate. I’m not saying we are the direction causation of global warming but we are definitely living thru it, regardless of what you think. Objectively the earth is warming up at a rapid pace and it feels quite nice now honestly, but our children and grandchildren will suffer the consequences brought on by our fathers and grandfathers. And if we chose to do nothing, us as well. Idk the answers to our problems, but if we don’t talk about it, and attempt to vote for the people we believe will stand for us or start putting our own collective money into politics, we’re fucking doomed to live under the control of the military industrial complex and corporate interests forever. Anyways love y’all, be safe. 🫶 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What a great side by side comparison Nezo !
Thank you for watching! :D

Aww yisss :D The 2.0's i had are now rental cars are the Strickly Sidewayz Club track.

I like their products but the parts support is so hit and miss

It would appear that MST sees there product as a consumable, not to be the permanent drift chassis for someone.

Heck yiss great success!
MST part availability is why I hit up beast mode and had a custom chassis built that uses an RMX front end and a yd-2 z rear end.
Yupppppppppppp, seems a common theme since parts is so hit and miss.
Amazing job, breaking it down.
Great job nezo!!!!
Thank youu!
4:07 i've just watched the review of this 2.5 rtr e30 and at 23:14 (in 2.5 review)you actually showed the foam bumper added to 2.5
aww yiss :D
Whats your preferred performance battery and charger for the 2.5?
It's too bad they can't keep up with demand. I enjoy mine but can relate to the MST frustrations.
Yeah more cars getting brought to life and killed so fast now

Have the 2.0. replaced with Yokomo yd2z but brilliant for newcomers to drift. Either one will give you that itch to do more.
Heck Yiss great success!

yissss the MST VIP was great success. This new GT EX etc line I'm just not feeling as much.
im in the market for a drift car, im just curious if the parts are still hard to get? this will be my first drifter so im expecting to break some parts while learning how to do it

Is there no issue with your stock servo? Others say there is an issue with the stock servo of the mst rmx 2.5
Mine eventually died but only after I hit the wall hard a few times. I was able to get a lot of life out of it by staying off the walls lol It's the first thing most people upgrade.
7:02 bro 😂
