Muttiah Muralitharan said a few years ago that when asked about the poor performance of Sri Lanka's national cricket team, more than 80% responsibility lies with the players. The part of cricket administration, management, coaches, selectors, etc. are only 20%. I think what happened to the Sri Lankan team is happening to the Pakistan team now. Their players are not up to the standard, lack caliber, skills, brain & passion.
That's very true. Sad to see the current situation of former cricketing super powers, Pakistan & Sri Lanka. I think the current players doesn't have the mojo like their former legends. They all play like bunch of street side soft ball cricket players.
Management is one thing, But if overall countries health is not good, it trickles to all departments, cricket and other games as well.

I have not seen any Indian media channel having malice reporting. They are simply expressing dismay over Pakistani people irrational behaviour. And they are even more surprised to see pcb officials and retired senior players mud singing and chanting kalma and weeping.
In our view, every team goes through a phase when personal rivalry or in fighting or ego clash among players goes out of control.
Even I personally find no problem with pak team players competency. When 3rd world people go to USA, it is quite natural they might get carried away in enjoyment and sightseeing more. Uper se bibi bacho ko ghumane ka pressure.

It’s fine, first of all let Sports’s be sports and country be the country. Second, I know most of Indians pass these comments as it gives them sense of high self most of the time. If you look at their history, it’s mostly autocratic army colluded govt disguised in democracy. It’s like condemning Afg or Korea people for wrongdoings of their power controllers. My point: it feels like decades too when Indians haven’t moved on over things Pak mess up in. If we can’t help them be better, how about leaping the mouth shut? Individual talent is undeniable, but without unified execution, it becomes scattered strength. While skill abounds, the team's execution falls short. Additionally, the team management and board might benefit from a more systematic approach. The Australian team exemplifies this - their on-field synergy and minimal player discord are testament to their success. Their talent doesn't necessarily surpass other teams, but their unified application of skills yields positive results.

Pakistan has got talent. Axe the entire squad and bring in new players whose motto should be nation first. The players should be taught nation and game are above the players. Discipline is must. Dressing room should be monitored by the coach and management. Players who spread negativity and create camps within the team should be shown the exit door. Players should know that lack of responsibility cannot be tolerated. The pakistan cricket board should have a corporate structure where responsibility and discipline should be top priority. The board should not be managed by politicians. The board should have experienced administators who has fixed long term goals for the growth of Pakistan cricket team.

It is not understood why there is so much criticism of the Pak Team, especially by the ex-Pak players.
For one, the current Pak Team does not have enough number of class players to be a top team. Secondly, even other teams such as England, New Zealand have not performed well in this tournament. Even South Africa and India have just scraped through.
Very tough wicket with uneven bounce and spin assistance. In this wicket it can be anybody's game. Judging them based on this game is not fair.
First pakistans economy should progress them sports too will progress.

Nothing ' humiliating ' or ' embarrassment ' about Pak performance. They barely lost to a surging U.S team and to a strong Indian team. Wasim Akram, more than anyone should harken back to the 92 WC campaign when Pak stumbled at the start, but emerged victorious.
