@@killermonk47 It was Britishers Plan to devide the nation if they had to leave it and persuaded jinna to lobby for leadership in Indian Politics or to have a separate nation to be formed out if India. Nehru who was not going to slid the opportunity to others to rule the country didn't wish to do ao..hence Gandhi ji became the mediator between both and to keep nehru on the throne, he agreed to the partition.
