Only when tunes are played with the absolute max of attention, love and sheer dedication, is when a sound like this emerges..... eradicating all thoughts until only the soul stirring is left....
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot the password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
6 years ago i stumbled upon this video. To this day i sneak a listen here n there.. Ya know.. Kick up your heels once in awhile eh lol? This tune fills my heart up snd makes me smile. Thank you Bloomers
Daniel uses DADGAD tuning, so the chords you see probably don't mean anything to someone who's not used to this kind of tuning. However, the first tune is in Dmajor, and the second one is in Amajor
Quite a joy to listen to. I'm from the french part of Canada, and the traditional québecers music took quite a lot after irish music... This kind of flute doesn't seem familiar to me.. Is it the worldly known flute, like in a symphonic orchestra. What is its name if it's different. Thank you to have bear with my english.
printaboul It's different. The flute used in orchestras has keys and is quite friendly to having all twelve notes typically used in western music played on it, whereas this particular flute does not have keys and is designed primarily to play a seven-note major scale. They do, however, come in different keys, and by half-holing or underblowing can play all twelve notes. I've heard them referred to as Irish flutes and wood flutes. Your English, by the way, is plenty good. You have nothing to apologize for.
Daniel plays in DADGAD, in this specific piece he shifts from the usual chords in the scale of D (D, G, A, Bm, Em, F#m) to just using the bass line while staying in D

God i wish i could play frank's reel on guitar that fast (the main melody)..so far that's proving pretty difficult. This is amazing though i love it 😁
It's also in key A, which makes it harder to play on the usual key D flute or whistle too - they do a great job of it.

Who disliked this? Who? Be gone, troll, be gone.

itsaguinness well spotted I’ve watched this loads and never noticed before😂😂😂😂😂 good vid 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Is the guitarist playing in DADGAD? I love his style
Joshua Donahue indeed, Daniel plays in DADGAD
Did anyone think the flutist should sit on the opposite side??
A real cracker!!!
I like it. But if the guitar had been strung with nylon strings to make it less annoying it would have been a much better mix.
זה באמת מוסיקה מצוינת! אולי להוסיף bodhrán? אבל מספיק טוב בלי.
you need some bass bros
Well done lads. Brilliant!
