Remember everyone, 2B and 9S faced this thing on their own because the other androids of her squad couldn’t dodge a telegraphed laser.
the others had auto chip on and forgot it wont dodge the giant laser

I've been running the nier raid in ffxiv quite a lot and I can confirm you : even humans have great difficulties dodging telegraphed attacks.

Hell of a first boss. No way that thing is Lvl: 6.
If you finish the game and fight with it a second time, you'll understand why it says lvl 6

Yes I almost quit when this happened. This boss isn't too hard on the second try once you've understood how to dodge its attacks but not putting an auto-save point just before the fight is BS game design.
The game literally warns you that there is no autosave, though there still isn't a quick save point in the prologue so I get what you mean@@enzocrespin5806
Attacking a pair of industrial excavators attached to a giant robot with a sword does not seem like the most effective way to stop said robot

But machines are next level, look at the aquatic machine from the flooded city

You’re absolutely correct. All the fire in the arms is apparently caused by overheating and friction.

This boss fight sets up the rest of the game so well in regards to boss fights. In the way they use it to tell a story, to test if you have the corrects skills in dodging and attacking on both the ground and in the air, and what kind of things you are fighting against
The time I saw using the Goliath's arms to itself is the biggest "Why are you hitting yourself" I have ever seen.

Can you tell me how you can which way to move in order to avoid the saws for when you start the fight in flight suit? Im playing hard mode and its an insta kill and having to repeat the same mission 1000x is annoying but I refuse to go down on difficulty.
Apparently you have to avoid it by going inside and not out
stay between the arms and dodge shortly before impact, timing it Juuuuust right makes you invulnerable.

Having played this fight, it definitely feels like a first boss. The saws are incredibly easy to evade , and the second phase is even easier to dodge.
***** Same for Metal Gear Rising, first boss is always just the hook.
Either that or an optional boss, as Nier Automata has side-questing similar to (al be it less generic i imagine) the original nier having side-quests.
Might even do like Nier and have a huge chunk of optional story and character interaction through said quests.
Music and scenario more than make up for it though. Besides this is the tutorial it's supposed to be easy. And it'd be super weird to see Engels swinging his arms around at lightning speed.
This game is very Legendary nostalgia for me very epic all scene all fight i like it! Tq Square Enix bring this game even now i still playing this game bruh!!❤
Does anyone else wonder why the combat in Automata is so freaking Floaty than in Replicant? It's like KH3 in terms of combat movement.

Dominik trace does the boss fight make the fan in your pro sound like a jet engine? this part of the game makes my console struggle. and only at 1080p
